Food: This tea room has been around for over about 20 years and has changed hands many times. It's Asian in feeling but very down on its heels in decor. The new owners and their staff don't have the same enthusiasm that the place once had. Definitely not your English tea room! Teas are made with loose tea in an infuser, and care is given to warming the pot and steeping for the correct amount of time. Tea can be covered with a tea cozy. The last time I was there having a black tea, it was very weak, and the staff didn't seem concerned at all when I complained about the lack of tea in my tea. I just left it and walked out, leaving them nonchalant and chatting with each other and continuing their conversation. So much for customer service! |
