As always whenever I am in the DC area, I try to make time to stop in at Teaism and this spring was no exception. This time, I decided to order only things I had never tried before. For lunch, I ordered their veggie sandwich with goat cheese on whole grain bread with roasted portobello mushrooms and red peppers....wow! I cannot wait to go back and order this sandwich again! The whole wheat carrot scone was a delightful dessert and the iced tissane of the day was so very refreshing. We sat outside and people watched while we ate lunch. You have to go to this wonderful tearoom for a deliciously healthy meal or snack. I highly recommend it!

I have tried all of their black teas, and found each to be perfectly brewed and delicious. The Bento Boxes are especially tasty, and the downstairs setting, with the serene koi pond and soothing decor, is the perfect place to enjoy your cup while eating one of their fantastic salty oatmeal cookies.

This is a superb lunch spot. It's sad that I no longer work closeby. It is a pleasant spot for a cup of tea and a nice sandwich, soup, bento box. The staff if friendly, almost enthusiastic. I go more often in the spring or summer when I can sit on the benches outside and people watch.

Stop in on a very cold Sunday while visiting friends in the area. We all were looking forward to something hot to drink, and Teaism hit hit the spot. My friend had the masala chai, and I had a nice pot of Baozhong. The oolong was prepared wonderfully. We also had a small snack of the salted oat cookies, as we were going to have dinner somewhere else, but the food they offered was quite good! We also stopped into the tea shop next door and I bought their signature ginger scone mix, which I look very forward to making soon. We will definitely be stopping by again next time we're in town.

I was back in DC for the Labor Day weekend and again enjoyed a relaxing lunch at Teaism. What a treat! I truly love their vegetarian meals and the mint tea. For dessert we shared some Salty Oat cookies...WOW! what texture and flavor! These cookies should have an entire food group named for them. I will definately be back again and again.
