I enjoyed a Mother's Day Tea with a group of women from different branches of my family. Thayer's has a charming hostess/owner Sharon who tells of the building's history, rumored ghosts, and brief explanation of how to take tea. Sharon is also a gourmet chef and as expected the scones, sweets, and sandwiches were all artfully presented and delicious. Sharon's staff is prompt and friendly pacing the courses on us, not a schedule. Sharon mingles with guests before and after the tea, offering tableside palm readings for an extra fee. She makes you feel at home. Additionally, a tour of the B&Bs rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors is allowed. Spend some time looking at the photos hanging on the walls. The only downside is the drive, but it's well worth the drive!
