Located in one of historic Cranbury's most charming Victorian homes, The Blue Rooster invites you to rediscover a few of life's enduring pleasures -- hand-made breads still warm from the oven; simple meals prepared with fresh, natural ingredients; and a congenial place to gather with neighbors and friends.
Reserve a spot for afternoon tea to celebrate a special occasion or to spend time with special people.
The house The Blue Rooster calls home was built circa 1850, and that seems right. The Blue Rooster is a simple bakery and café whose values may strike some as old fashioned.
Our breads and pastries are all made in our kitchen. Our cafe food is fresh, healthy and produced using the best local ingredients whenever possible. And our warm, friendly atmosphere invites you to linger in the classic café tradition.
Inspired by European bakeries, gourmet shops and cafés, lovingly translated for our hometown of Cranbury, New Jersey -- the Blue Rooster is your hometown bakery and café.
Make yourself at home.
For a touch of the traditional, a great time with friends, we offer an afternoon tea Monday through Saturday at 3 p.m. To properly prepare for you, we ask that you make a reservation at least 2 days in advance.
Our afternoon tea menu is 3 courses:
Fist: Freshly made tea sandwiches
(10/person),
Second: A scones with butter, clotted cream & jam
.
Third: An array of petit fours
Throughout: A choice of teas: black, green, white, herbal
$23 per person
. Additional servings of sandwiches or pastries are priced at $4 per person.
To plan a private tea party please call Karen (609-235-5847)

Variety:
I was first brought here by a friend who said 'you are going to love this!'...and I did. I then proceeded to bring two other friends, at different times, for special occasion lunches. |
