We traveled almost two hours to this tearoom for an utter disappointment. They ran out of soup. They ran out of quiche. They ran out of scones (we had the last and the next groups of people had none).. They ran out of lemon curd. They gave us about 2 tablespoons of jam and clotted creame for 5 people. The sandwiches had so little inside, one of them, the chicken salad, I saw some chicken, but, tasted just bread, there was so little. The bathroom had paper towels on the floor from a few visits of others. They did not clean up the one bathroom that they had. The portions were sparce and we left hungry. The food is not served on individual towers, this is an inconvience and done poorly. The desserts were half the size or other tearooms that I have went to and the sandwichs were weak in taste. I felt robbed from this 'special' experience after the bill was paid and we had to seek food elseware. Bad show Butterfly Tearoom, I'll never be back!

A sad disappointment. They ran out of soup, quiche, lemon curd, scones(we had the last and there were more guests after us). The clotted cream and jam had about 2 tablespoons for 5 people to share. The food was not on individual towers and we had to pick through to try and get our portions. They SMALL sandwiches were not filled enough, maybe they were running out of that, too. They sandwiches and dessert was smaller then other tearooms. The bathroom had paper towels from many other visitors on the floor. There was no consideration for their lack of food. We left hungry and had to eat elsewhere. I was very sad.

I took my friend for her bday tea. Greeted cheerfully at the door and made to feel welcome from start to finish. Maybe 1-2 more tea sandwiches? Great time!!!!
