I live in Tampa and was visiting some friends in the area, and we came here for tea. The parlor is so elegant and beautiful, the service so outstanding and the food so delicious that I would make the drive again just to visit the Carriage Light Tea Parlor. The Carriage Light is truly deserving of every five-star rating!

I had my daughter's bridal shower at The Carriage Light Tea Parlor in Parkland, Florida. The staff was extremely accomodating and I was able to make the arrangements for a relaxing and memorable event prior to my daughter's marriage. The tea parlor is pristene and beautiful with a Victorian ambiance. Everyone loved it and best of all...my daughter said it could not have been more perfect!

I can't say enough good things about this fantastic Victorian tea parlor! Four of us just hosted our second annual Teddy Bear Tea here. It is the perfect atmosphere for dressing up and going back in time, relaxing and forgetting your worries. All of our guests look forward to the event. The variety of teas and the quality of the food are unbeatable ... it's hard to make a choice! The owner, chef and servers went out of their way to make our tea party a wonderful experience. I highly recommend stepping back in time at this tea parlor!

I promised my older sister when she visited me this Spring I would treat her to tea and it would be worth the wait. Coming from the North Fork of Long Island, she has been to many cute & quaint places, but the Carriage Light Tea Parlor truly delighted her senses. The aroma and presentation of the individual pots of tea each in their own cozy as well as the dainty and delicious scones spoke for themselves. We enjoyed the soup and quiche while we feasted on the decor and felt the 'buzz' of conversations around us. Each table was filled with patrons who joined us as we stepped back in time to an era where life was simpler, conversations were in person and the ability to linger just a little bit more over that last sip of tea was delightful. A heartfelt thank you to those whose creativity made this possible to enjoy!

This is an extraordinary tea room. This is my mom's favorite place in the world. The food is spectacular, the scones and quiche in particular are out of this world. The raspberry dressing on the mixed green salad is a must. The teas are delicious, especially the house tea, Blue Heaven. The service is outstanding and the atmosphere and decor superb. I just had my best friends shower here and EVERYONE raved about it. Some people drove 1 1/2 hours to get there and said it was worth the drive. A visit to this tea room is A MUST! Highly recommended

I visited this tea room for the first time with my daughter-in-law over the winter break. It was lovely. The tea was wonderful on the cold day that we visited and the quiche was moist and more than enough to satisfy. The scone was one of the best I have ever had. The ambiance was delightful, a true representation of a time gone by. I plan to return with my sister in February.

We had been looking forward to going to this tea room for a long time, finally got the chance and it was more than we could have hoped for, and I know my tea parlors! Everything was exquisite from start to finish- the decor, atmosphere and service, the tea and the food (especially the scones- maybe the best I've ever tasted!). It was simply delightful. The clotted cream had a unique heavenly almond flavor. We appreciated having the opportunity to try more than one tea from their excellent selection. They offer a satisfying lunch, with a great soup and quiche, as well as the delicate sandwiches and desserts that you expect. We will definitely return every time we're in town.

Had my birthday party there on Dec 1. It was beyond my expectations. Owner/staff booked me in advance and gave good suggestions of teas and menu -- which were a big hit. You must have the Blue Heaven. My husband cannot stop talking about it, and everyone wants to order it online. Scones were great, quiche was a large moist slice. The deserts were definitely handcrafted. Loved everything. Service rocked!

The gift shop was of course charming, as was the decor. Everyone adored the hats/gloves/boas -- even the guys! My friends who were not 'into' tea parlors are now open to the idea.

My vision of my birthday was very detailed, and I would not compromise on anything. We all traveled from Miami (an hour away) because I wanted this tea parlor. That's a tough customer. But Janet and her staff won us all over. Thank you so much. We'll be back!

Qualtiy abounds here with food, service, decor, location. There are not enough places for females to enjoy being a female, getting gussied up and simply being self-indulgent. This is THE place. Food selection is wonderful and the gift shop is great!

What can I say! I went to London this past June and had tea at Harrod's. Don't get me wrong, tea at Harrod's was wonderful. However, today I had tea, along with my mother, daughter and granddaughter, at The Carriage Light Tea Parlor and I must say I thought it was even better that Harrod's. The ambience, the food, the presentation, the decor, everything, was beautifully done. I highly recommend a trip to the Carriage Light Tea Parlor.

Presentation was good. Service was excellent,However the food was a little dissapointing...considering the price. Soup was excellent, but quiche was a bit small and not very moist. Didn`t give us much in the way of clotted cream with our scones. Even though presentation was excellent...table decorated nicely...Scanty with their desserts

My daughter's birthday party was wonderful but the service was a disaster. The party was scheduled from 3:00 to 5:00...we were not seated until 3:40 and then the servers disappeared. The food did not arrive until about 4:15. There was another party in the room (who by the way had only booked their reservation that morning) and the waitresses seemed to be taking care of them while my daughter's table was alone. Everytime the waitress came to our table it was because I had to go over and get her. I booked the party two months in advance...I should have had one or two waitresses just for our table. The management told me that the lunch crowd ran late. Why seat so many people if you know a party is booked at 3:00? The place is lovely and I would go back for lunch. The kids had a good time and did not realize what was going on but the experience was very unprofessional.

What a lovely tearoom! I brought my in-laws, husband, and son for afternoon tea. The childrens tea was amazing. I have never seen such adorable tea sandwiches. This tearoom looked like it was in an old home, not a new shopping center. It was perfectly decorated. My only complaint was that service was a little slow due to the lack of staff and the arrival of 3 parties without reservations. The food and tea were exceptional. We will be back!
