Overview
Hello everyone, this is Wendy Savelle, owner of the Casual Cup. Thanks for your patience during the past several months, wondering I'm sure if we were still in business or not. For those who don't know, my husband took ill back in mid-June receiving a surprising and serious cancer diagnosis. Although we began an aggressive treatment program right away, the cancer was too progressed, and my husband passed away on August 25th at a hospice in Towson. After much soul searching, I decided to re-open the tea room with the support of my baker and good friend, Marta Markline. Our staff and our customers have all been a tremendous source of support and I look forward to seeing you all again soon. For those who might be making your first visit to the Casual Cup, my message to you is as follows:

We offer informal tea service and a full luncheon cafe style menu. There are two seating areas, one of which can accommodate an intimate party of up to 8, while our other main seating area will accommodate parties of up to 18. Our 4-course casual comfort tea provides you with a full tea experience, or you may order a la carte from our menu if a lighter meal is preferred. All of our soups, salads, scones, lemon curd, quiches and other garnishes are homemade and prepared on the premises. We serve a variety of quality loose teas; coffee and iced tea are available as well.
There are a variety of tea related gift items as well as gift certificates available for purchase.

Variety: We had my future daughter-in-law's bridal shower at the Casual Cup. What a wonderful afternoon! All of the guests really enjoyed it. Wendy did an outstanding job and was very accomodating with our needs and requests. The shower was on a Sunday, so we had the entire tea room to ourselves. Thanks so much! |

Variety: My friends and I had tea for a friend's baby shower. The staff was kind and the tea house atmosphere was very pleasant and the food was tasty. We were disappointed in the quantity of food. After placing our order, we were told they had run out of soup and the same thing happened with sandwiches later in the meal. The actual menu did not match what the website had shown either. Though it was a pleasant time, I don't think we'll be returning. |

Thank you for your feedback. I apologize for the shortage of food choices when you visited. We prepare our foods based on reservations and allow for unexpected walk in visitors, and even then we sometimes fall short. Our menu is being updated and perhaps we prematurely posted it on the website, but we will have the website menu available here beginning next week.

Variety: Stopped in without reservations over the holidays. The food was amazing, the tea was good and prepared properly. We each has the casual comfort tea. Service was wonderful, ambiance was comforting and I didn't feel rushed. Just to repeat, the food was amazing. |
