Variety: The Colonel's Lady has been an excellent addition to Winchester. The food is all delicious and homemade. The scones are amazing. You may think you don't like something until you try her recipe of it. Her take on the food is almost always outstanding. The few cases of it not being is because of my aversion to tomatoes. Her chai tea is the best I have ever had. She has spoiled me with her food. |

Variety: I became a fan of tearooms on trips to the British Isles and dispaired of every seeing on this side of the water a proper scone...until I found the Colonel's Lady. The proprietress, Dawn Little, understands the art of tea and the elements of a proper scone. Her other items are excellent as well, with presentation as careful as preparation. |

Variety: I go to Colonel's Lady for lunch about once a week. The 'Lady's Choice' special is always delicious. I particularly enjoy the scones and other desserts. |

Variety: I took my 7 year old daughter for some quality daddy/daughter time. My expectations of a nice relaxing lunch were exceeded. Not only did I get to spend a wonderful afternoon with my daughter, the food and tea were excellent. The service was great....I could not have asked for more. I will go back soon and often. My daughter so enjoys a formal tea and a chance to show her good manners. I will go back for the tea and food. |

Variety: Excellent 5 course meal. Every course was followed by an 'oh my god' and then a brief joy induced coma. Highly recommend; bring your appetite and some insulin as many of the meals have a good helping of ingredients from the two best food groups, cream and sugar. |

Variety: Wow !! What a wonderful five course tea is served at The Colonel Lady's Tearoom. I went there with three other friends this past weekend. All the food was delicious, homemade, and eye-appealing. Service was impeccable. Dawn, the owner, is a tearrific and gracious hostess. This tearoom is about twenty miles east of Lexington, Kentucky, and well worth the drive. Actually I drove from Columbus, Ohio, and without a doubt, plan on returning. |

Variety: Some of the best food around, and very reasonably priced. Service a little slow - but that forced me to pay more attention to the food, which richly deserved it. And the scone for dessert just melted in my mouth. Many thx! |

Kathy, thank you for the kind words. And you hit the nail on the head with your comment about the 'service being a little slow', everything is made fresh to order! And we want you to savor the moment! Life is too fast, stop and enjoy the scones!

Variety: I have never had a bad cup of tea or lunch at The Colonels Lady and the 'lady' herself tries very hard to speak to every patron. Awesome place to visit. |

Variety: Recently my daughter, daughter-in-law, and I hosted a bridesmaids' luncheon at the CLTR. Dawn was most efficient in helping us make this a most memorable event, in spite of the nasty weather outside. The food, the teas, and the accommodations were perfect. |
