Come by for a little bit of England, enjoy a small cozy tea room with yummy treats and hot tea. Sit and share a quiet afternoon with a close friend, sharing fresh baked scones, a warm slice of bread pudding or shepard's pie, while enjoying the light music in the background. Refresh yourself after a busy week at work, and you can always come see us on Saturdays.
Please note the landmarks given when you are trying to find us, on the corner of Princess Anne & S. Parliament there is a crown gas station and Wachovia bank, turn in between them, then turn left into the Kempsville Plaza shopping center, we are directly across the parking lot when you first come in from Dollar General.
NEW: Lite Breakfast 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Lunch is from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
And from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. we are serving afternoon tea.
We do need to have reservations made for afternoon tea, royal, full and tea for two.
And if you have a large group let us know, we can also schedule your tea for a private party after hours or even on Sunday, a two hour time period.

Food: I really enjoyed the lunch we had at the English Rose Tea Room. We had a wonderful tomato bisque soup, bean & tomato salad and a hot ham & cheese sandwich, and then to top it off we had a slice of pumpkin cake with a creamy filling, and our tea was a cranberry autumn, we had a great time and can't wait to go back. As always the room was decorated up all in fall colors. |

Food: Sharri, greeted us warmly, seated us and gave us the tea menu. She promptly took our tea order and within minutes we were enjoying our 'steeped just right' tea selection. My guest was enjoying her first tea time experience. To add icing to the tea cakes Sharri brought out our tier with wonderfully prepared and presented tea treats. The down pour made our tea time more enjoyable. The English Rose Tea Room is small, cozy and comfortable. My observation is: The is NO bottomless pot of tea. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this tea room. |

Food: My daughter and I had tea at the English Rose Rea Room. It was a thoroughly delightful experience. The place is lovely; the hospitality outstanding; the scones and all the food was delicious and beautiful presented. We will definitely return. |

Food: What a wonderful tea room, Shari served us a dessert to die for, it was a Neapolen pastry, with cream and strawberries, tealightful. I love how every week she changes her desserts and her scones, leaves me wanting more. Looking forward to her next event, always fun. |

Food: I disagree with the last persons review. Isaw on the website about all the upcoming dates and events and it was stated on there that they would be closed. Maybe you should have waited for a call back to confirm or emailed. I alwayz get a response. Love everything about this tearoom its a great find in Virginia Beach. |

Food: I have to rate all categories as poor because I have nothing upon which to base my review. We checked the website and called prior to visiting. Neither indicated that the tea room would be closed. We drove out there only to see a sign on the door indicating they would be closed for 4 days! This is not the way to run a small business. That information should have been updated on both the website and the answering machine. We then would not have wasted our time or gasoline driving out there - especially with gasoline prices as high as they are. A total disappointment that we will remember well before we try to visit again. |

I am sorry you drove to the tea room to find it closed, we did post it on our website and a sign on the door, we did however forget to put a message on the answering machine, sorry. We had an 80th Birthday Party out of town to go to, and being a small busines we sometimes do have to close for family events, as we are family owned and operated. We hope that you will come back by for a visit to share some tea. Shari
