I had to get a vehicle inspection at Firstone and the mechanics advised me of this tea shoppe across the street. I went over and the moment I walked in I was at ease. The music was soothing and the smell of fresh baking going on in the kitchen was warming. I walked around and found that they had a community puzzle and worked on it for a good 20 minutes enjoying every minute of it. I then sat down and enjoyed a fresh hot cup of tea and a freshly made mixed berry scone. I will return and bring friends with me. A fantastic calming location and a hidden treasure for Leon Valley.

I love this tearoom and I have been coming for years! I have gotten to know the Owner and Staff and feel right at home. Cream Tea and Afternoon High Tea is my fave on their menu! Both are excellent. This is the best tearoom in San Antonio. Sometimes there is a little bit of a wait but I have never been disappointed. If you are looking for a drive thru tearoom you need to go to Starbucks. This tearoom is like a traditional tearoom in a british neighborhood. Its a place where you can trult relax and spend the day. The Owner is all heart and comes from a british background. I'm sorry that two people here had such bad experiences lucky for me I have had nothing but good experiences for the past 5 years. Thanks Carol, I will be needing my english tea fix soon! xoxo :-)

Four friends arrived at 11:45 Saturday 10/3/09 for lunch. We were 'greeted' by the waitress asking us what we would like to drink. No 'welcome' or 'nice to have you'. We placed our order and waited. Finally, three of us received our tea even though the fourth had been given a cup and saucer. When someone came and asked how we were doing, she mentioned that she had not yet received her tea. We also asked about the bisquits and were told they would be brought out at the end. After a one and a half hours wait with no food, we left. There was another table with children and their service was just as bad.

A great place, I truly enjoyed it, the food, the interior, the employees and of course the prices. I will return with my friends and my mother, I'm sure it will get my mothers seal of approval. Thanks to the employees and the owner.

I Love this place, it is so cute, the food and the prices are also great. The best part is the friendly atmosphere. I will definitely go back when I am in town.

Great Place, quiet, elegant, nice music background, great food and service.. It is hidden behind a strip mall, but once you find it, you will be glad you did. Great place for child visitations and any get together you may want. I highly recommend this place to other fathers who need a place to take their children too. Good prices also and the employees are a laughable group they make you feel right at home. Thanks for a great father/ daughter outting.

Since I've been wanting to visit for several months, I REALLY wanted to like this tearoom. Sadly, I didn't. I had a similar experience that the previous reviewer had, but instead of a small group, there were only 2 of us. We ordered 2 scones. They were out of raspberry so we got cherry. Very, very small (2' in diameter) & definitely not worth the cost of each. In addition, they were also out of clotted cream for the scones. We also made the unfortunate mistake of ordering 'roast beef and vegetable' soup as an appetizer. It was definitely a can of Campbell's soup, a bargain at 4.00. Not! More bad news: They were out of Shepherd's Pie, so I ordered an English version of a steak & mushroom pattie. Who wants to go out to eat only to see the cook take out a frozen-solid, packaged entree from the freezer (that was in full view of the dining room)? On top of that, there was a 50-minute wait before it was served! How this tearoom is rated #14 out of 151 in Texas is totally beyond me.

I arranged a small 'ladies' birthday party for my adult daughter on Saturday, 12/13/08. I was told the tea room would be open at 11 am Saturday morning...(they had previously told me on the phone they were open at 10 am) I was also told there would be another group at the tea room Saturday at 11 am. Robby, a nice gentleman (chef), asked if we were ordering from the menu on Saturday...I said yes. He said they would be able to handle our group along with the other group.
On Saturday, I arrived at 11 am. with my daughter. Two people from our group were already seated; they arrived at 10:45 am. (Tea room help arrived at 11 am also) Three or four people from the other group were seated.
By 11:20 am all of our group had arrived, and by ll:45 - 12 noon our group had placed our order... (more)

Quiet, simple(yet elegant) atmosphere. Very personable staff. Delicious food, and selection of teas. Affordable. Overall delightful time waiting to happen. Thanks to the staff for service I will be returning.
