WE HAVE A NEW NAME - The French Bakery! ... and we are The place for Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Dessert.
Enjoy the relaxing ambiance of tea in a quaint old house with three separate seating areas: the Morning Room, the Dining Alcove and the Library. You can also sit down and enjoy a scone and a pot of tea, or a dessert and a Cappuccino in our Bakery Parlour or outside on our patio. Yes, we have our own awarding-winning bakery on site, and everything is made from scratch
We pride ourselves on our homemade luncheon items and our scrumptious afternoon tea fare. We have a very large tea selection of 55 different super-premium black, green, red, and white teas for you to savor at our teahouse or take home, including 22 teas direct from Marriage Frères, Paris.
We also have a wide selection of Tea Cups, Teapots, and Tea for One - teapot and cup combinations, as well as other tea related gift items.

Variety: I have been here three times now, and each one has been a treat. The teas are loose leaf and there is a huge list of black, green, red and white teas and a lot from Marriage Freres in Paris. The teas I have tried have all been delicious and properly brewed. They also do not use cosys here, but tea lights in a tea warmer which keeps your tea hot til the last cup. I really like this since I really dislike it when the tea is left in the pot since it continues to brew and becomes bitter. The atmosphere here is very nice with three differently decorated rooms. It is very nice but not too formal or Victorian fussy, cutsey - if you know what I mean. Each time I have been I have brought a different friend and all have been impressed. I have had both lunch and afternoon tea. The service has always been good. I think this is one of the best tea houses in the bay area. |

Variety: I love this place. I have had afternoon tea all over the world, and this place is near the top of my list. If it could be transported to England, then it would be tops. They even have 'real' clotted cream the chef makes herself. The tea list is quite extensive and it is brewed properly. I am already looking forward to my next visit |

Variety: I've been this tea room several times and have enjoyed myself. I have brought friends with me to share the experience. However, my last experience at this tea room left me wanting for more and wondering why I paid over $30/pp with tax and tip for the Parisian Tea. The usual hostess, Anita was not there and the person behind the pastry counter did not have the same cheer; I missed this. We did not receive a champagne flute with Pellegrino Aranciata and cookies, as I had in the past. When the Parisian Tea was brought out it seemed very small and the hostess did not explain what we would be eating. She left us to enjoy our food, but we didn't have any plates to eat from. I had to find the hostess and ask for plates. She apologized and I asked for a description of the foods... (more) |

Variety: I visited this tearoom a couple of weeks ago. Darling little house, parking was a bit of a problem. Presentation wasn't what appears in the photo but still nice and food was tasty. Service was very good. |

Variety: The setting of this delightful teahouse was quiet and ladylike inside when I visited a couple weeks ago. I took my mother and grandmother and we all had the 'Parisian' tea with sandwiches, savories, a scone, and desserts along with your own pot of tea. (I had the Pineapple Coconut tea- delicious!) The scone, served with Devonshire cream, lemon curd, and strawberry preserves was the best I've ever had! It came warm and flakey to the table and literally melted in your mouth. (I actually dreamed about it that night!) Everything was delicious and the service was perfect- we couldn't have asked for a better experience! I am actually going back this week with a group of girlfriends to celebrate my birthday and can't wait to try other items off the menu, and of course the scones again! |

Variety: I wasn't sure that this was going to be the place to have my sister's 50th Birthday party after the rocky finalization date. Anita made everything smooth, from taking my final head count to ordering the cake. The day of the party, my sister felt loved and supported. Anita again made everything special. The food was generous and the cake was beautiful. Thank you for the day and the effort. Great Job to all. |

Variety: We went there on Mother's Day. Paid $32.50 and was a little disappointed in the small amount of food and slow service we received. It took 15 minutes for us to get a refill on the cup of tea we received upon our arrival and finally had to ask for a teapot for our table so we could have access to tea. It took about 10 minutes to get the jam and butter that went with our food. We ended up going out to lunch after our tea because we were starving. The place itself was nice and the servers were very courteous. Unfortunately, I had expected a little more for the money especially on Mother's Day. |

Variety: I love the variety of tea and the food was wonderful. This place is outstanding except for one thing. I went with a group of 13. The teapots were placed on a side table and we were expected to serve outselves after the first cup. This proved to be a bit cumbersome for those of us on the opposite side of the table who had to squeeze around the others to get to the pots. I personally prefer to be served or have the pots on the table and I don't mind tipping extra for the effort. I'm guessing with a small group you might have the teapot on your table in which case the place would be near perfection. |

Variety: What a charming place to have a tea luncheon. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised with the amount of different teas offered from Paris. I enjoyed the desserts and the waitress said the croissants are baked on the premises by the pastry chef there. Light and buttery with the chicken salad. I would recommend this tea room to others. You will not be disappointed. |
