Variety:
I visited this tearoom with some friends this past week and thought it was delightful. The service was good and the food was wonderful. The only little thing was that the scones were really dry. Other than that I will definitely be going back. And thank you Louisa for bringing a tea shop to the North County. |

Variety: I have been to The Grand Tea Room twice now and am planning a large costumed event there as well. It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The tea selection is awesome and I purchased some Green Pomegranate Tea to take home and enjoy. I had the side garden salad for $4 which was very green, healthy & tasty. The walk-in Cream Tea for an additional $10 made for a delightful meal for a very reasonable price. I had The Garden Tea on a previous occassion with friends. The crystal chandeliers and the white lace tablecloths make the ambience very well worth the full tea price. The owner Louisa and her husband are very friendly. I would highly recommend The Grand Tea Room for a bridal shower, baby shower, birthday or a Red Hat group. I have been to tea in many places including the Ritz in Paris. The Grand Tea Room will be my regular tea establishment. Thank you for opening up in Northern San Diego County! (There are also free parking lots one block north and south of the restaurant in case all of the street parking is taken.) |

Variety:
My husband and I have experience a lot of Tea Houses and this is now our favorite! It's a true 'tea' experience. The decor is elegant and comfortable. The food is beyond delicious and is reasonably priced for both the quality and quantity that is served vs. other tea houses that we've experienced. Everything about the place was perfect! If you love doing 'tea', The Grand Tea Room is a must! |

Variety: I dined here last Thursday, the food was excellent, and if you have the Garden Tea (full tea), you get more than enough food. The owner and waitresses are wonderful. The tea house and shop are lovely, I bought a beautiful hat. I plan on going back often. |

Variety: I dined at the this tea room today and I thought it was excellent! Even though they have only been open a few weeks, it seems that everyone has been trained well. The previous review from 'Kathy' was spot on. Also, I asked them about the scones since I thought the size was fine, and they said that they started making them larger since a few people mentioned they were kind of small. Isn't it nice when businesses listen to constructive critisism!!! I will be returning often. |

Variety: My husband and I drove 3 1/2 hours from Los Angeles to visit this tearoom on October 1, 2011. It was their 2nd day open and we were there for the'soft opening'. I grew up in Escondido and was looking forward to a tearoom in my former stomping grounds. This tearoom was FABULOUS!!!! Most EXCELLENT service!!! We both ordered the 'Grand Tea' which consisted of a warm Bluberry Scone (small but still delicious!)with Lemon Curd, Devon Cream, and Jam; Tomato Basil soup with a small piece of garlic bread; Chicken Salad on a small Crossant, Egg Salad on wheat, open face Cucumber sandwich and a crustless Ham Quiche served with red/green grapes, blueberries, and pineapple. For Dessert there was a mini Pumpkin cupcake, mini fruit tart with custard, mini Lemon bar and a mini Chocolate Mouse that was to d... (more) |

Variety: I have been waiting and waiting for this teahouse located in North County to open. As the prices are a bit high, two friends and I decided to 'try it out' on the Cream Tea before having our whole group visit. The tearoom is BEAUTIFUL!!! The furniture, linens, dishes, artwork, etc are all perfect ... even the bathrooms are charming. I love the little gift shop out front, lots of interesting items I've not seen anywhere else. I also like that there is separation between the gift shop and the tearoom. Unfortunately, the Cream Tea fell short of our expectations. The scone was very small and served cold. Along with the scone we were served three thin slices of kiwi, four blueberries and less than 10 grapes. Although the tearoom itself is stunning, I don’t plan on returning which is very sad, I was really looking forward to loving this place. |
