Consequently, I visit the tea house several times during the year. I have never been disappointed. The girls look forward to our day out all year. We love all the lovely little touches that make having lunch and tea a celebration. We always top off the day by visiting their gift store and adding another 'must have' item to our collection of unique tea accessories. I recommend them highly to all my friends.

Variety:     Artistry:     Service:     Food: We have had tea in Istanbul, Japan, Canada, Disney World, and on cruise ships but nothing can compare to high tea at the Johnston House. This adorably quaint setting offers you a wide variety of delectable teas and gourmet foods. The elegant presentation of three tiers of finger sandwiches and desserts seems almost too beautiful to eat, but are absolutely a delicious delight! The sandwiches are scrumptious, especially their croissants filled with tuna salad, while their light and delicate scones provide the perfect preamble to a variety of heavenly desserts. The setting captures a traditional but warm atmosphere of a classic tea house which is embraced by their consummate staff. We are privileged to have this wonderful establishment in our own backyard.

My sister-in-law has cancer and we were having tea before she went for one of her radiation treatments. We were leaving and she missed the step going from the tea room to the gift shop, she fell down hard, she feel on her knee and hip, The girl who waited on us came running so do the other ladies having tea. They went and got the owner and she came and asked if she should call 911. My sister-in-law said no she felt she could get up herself she told them she is on her way to the hospital anyway she will get checked. After she got up she was crying about her hip and knee but said she could get to the hospital ok. I hung around to buy somethings and to talk to Teri the owner see I am opening a tea room and asked for some advice. Bu... (more)t I was dissapointed because the thing Teri never asked is my sister-in-laws name or phone number so she could call and check on her. She had mine from the reservation, but never called or even offered to give her a gift card to her next tea. I don't do business that way if someone gets hurt you should fill out a report if you don't have one aleast take there information so you can check up on them. Maybe put a strip of different color flooring so someone dont fall again.

The addition of a downstairs bathroom is much more convenient.

They have never been to a tea room before and all of them loved it. The atmosphere is very lovely with a victorian touch. The decor of the tea rooms is lovely, light-colored with just enough Victorian touches to be attractive but not cluttered and over baring. The food was very good...we all ended up being were stuffed even though we initially wondered if enough food was offered. Each of us (19) bought something in the delightful attached shop!

The room itself was decorated beautifully and the staff was absolutely wonderful. They are very accommodating and will help with centerpieces as well as favors if need be. The personnel at The Johnston House were so very helpful and seem to appreciate how important this event was to us. Everyone was so helpful and kind. They even offered us a larger, beautiful room with a gorgeous decorated mantle to pose for a group photo that they took for us! The only element that was higher than the tea, the decorations, and the service, was the food...delicious!! There were rave reviews from all my guests!!

Beautiful, relaxing atmosphere (and many rooms to shop in when you're finished); pleasant, pampering service. Tea served is bagged tea (typically Stash brand with few exceptions at special times of year) however, many varieties to choose from. The quality and value of the food is unmatched as far as tea goes. That's what sets The Johnston House apart. Truly a treasured experience every time!

I have been to 'tea' in many countries including England and Ireland and the Johnston House is right there with the best of places. I highly recommend this as a place for adults as well as children to have the experience of 'tea time' and what an enjoyable time it can be.
