Food: I couldn't believe the tea bags in the middle of the table, what a disappointment. A tea room needs a little more than a china cup and plate to make a memorable tea. I think the owners should visit a few tea rooms. |

Food: Dear Terri, John and Staff: Just wanted to thank you all for making my daughter’s wedding shower/tea so wonderful. Everyone who attended the shower commented on how beautiful The Johnston House is and that food was excellent. I also wanted to comment that the service was terrific. I know we had people shopping after the shower too!! My daughter thanked me for giving her the shower of her dreams – and I have to thank you for making it possible. |

Food: I had my daughter's baby shower here Aug 15th. We had the larger room with the fire place. The room was absolutely beautiful. The tables were very elegantly set. The food was delicious and the presentations were very classy. The table center pieces were lovely. It may a very relaxing day for my daughter. The attention to detail and the services that are offered by the staff is the best quality. I will recommend this for any special occasions. I can not wait to go back. |

Food: I've been to the Johnston House for tea on 3 occasions and each time was a beautiful experience. The rooms are romantic, calming, and lovely. The service is exceptional. The food and the various teas are absolutely to-die-for. I've moved to Virginia, but I keep coming back to the Johnston House for tea whenever I'm in the area. |

Food: The atmosphere was elegant, the service responsive and warm and the food scrumptious. I especially enjoyed the apricot bars and the innovative 'sandwiches' that included cheese quiche and pesto and tomato on toasted bread. Definitely recommended. |

Food: My fellow teachers decided upon The Johnston House for a retirement tea for myself and another teacher. What a wonderful celebration it was! The food was not only delicious, but it was beautifully presented. Our table setting was lovely. We spent a long afternoon at The Johnston House eating, chatting, and shopping for treasures in the rooms filled with gifts. It certainly was an elegant way to celebrate my retirement with some dear teacher friends. This was my fourth visit to The Johnston House and you can be sure it won't be my last! |

Food: My friend and I recently visited The Johnston House to celebrate her birthday. We were greeted warmly by everyone we met, always a welcome experience. We'd arrived a little early to allow for some time to browse in the gift shop before sitting down to tea. Everything there was absolutely beautiful, room after room of lovely, mostly Victorian, gifts...it was a bit like being transported in time to gentler era. When we were seated, we were in for another wonderful experience. There were at least a dozen teas to choose from, from the exotic to the standard Earl Grey. Food: After receiving wonderful recommendations from both family and friends, we decided to host our younger sister's baby shower at the Johnston house in November. The service, food and atmosphere supported all of the good things that we had heard. The guest list had contained a wide age range and all enjoyed themselves very much. It was a real treat. I would recommend the Johnston House to anybody and will definitely be a return customer. |

Food: The decor is lovely and the service was adequate, but the tea was such a disappointment. They brought you boiling water to accompany the Stash tea bags on the table! We could not believe that a tea room would not serve a variety of loose tea. It ruined an otherwise nice experience. |

Food: My family and I went to the Johnston house to enjoy afternoon tea, and see if it would be a possibility to have my bridal shower there. The food and tea selection were tasty no doubt. The staff, in particular the party coordinator, was quite rude. Not to mention a apparent lack of organization and time management. Unfortunatly their poor attitudes ruined what started out to be a really nice afternoon. |
