Food: On a visit to Hay on Wednesday 24th June we stopped at the tea rooms hoping for refreshments. We waited outside after seeing the notice indicating waitress service. The cafe was not busy but after 15 minutes and non-appearance of any staff, we decided to leave. Staff could be heard laughing and chatting inside the cafe but no-one bothered to look outside to see if there were customers. Is this an efficient and professional way to run a business. You were not the only culprits, the same happened at The Granary and in addition their tables were uncleared being cluttered with dirty crockery, cutlery and spilt drinks. What a pity to spoil a lovely tea room with such dire service. |
