Variety: I LOVED this place! I've been reading about this place and been dying to go, finally got to go last night. LOVED the whole ambience, the pomegranate rosehip tea was lovely, the desserts were too good, but my cousins became obsessed with the xylitol. They actually bought a pound of this stuff. Too funny! The gentlemen waiting on us were so polite and helpful and very informative. I wil definitely come back! |

Variety: I have enjoyed this tearoom since it opened. Recently, though, I had the opportunity to take a guest from Japan to visit. She said it reminded her of home and was very authentic. Since then she has returned to take friends of hers. She is as enthused about it as me. Beyond that the experience is serene and calming. The little extras offered are yummy. I don't share it with everyone but the ones I have taken there are all fans. |

Variety: This is our favorite local tea house. The atmosphere is not victorian or 'girly,' which is a nice incentive to bring the fellas along. If you are looking for teddy bears and roses, this isn't the place for you. The scones are excellent, and so are the cupcakes. However, it is their tea selection that truly makes this place great. The only caveat (and this may not even be a caveat if you are a true tea lover) is that the tea pots are not refilled with hot water. We are told the reason for this is to keep the taste of the tea consistent each and every time, and it does. This is a great place to be adventurous if you want to try new teas, as you aren't likely to be disappointed. We appreciate the modest atmosphere and frequent about 2-3 times a month. |

Variety: I have visited The Path of Tea on several ocassions various times of the year. Each time has been an acceptional experience. The staff is highly accomodating. I have brought a variety of friends, family, and colleagues who have had diferent expectations, tastes and appetites. ALL were pleased and SATISFIED. When you go out you wish an experience of delight, peace, and a moment away from the every day hustle and bustle. Even while seated in a fully booked shop I could still hear my companion's conversations over good tea and treats with good service. I would not compare to another tea house. That would just remove it's individuality and uniqueness. If your looking for 'a chain' where everything is the same and service an assembly line then No The Path of Tea would not be for you. |

Variety: I love the hot tea at The Path of Tea - they are all organic, but what I really love are the frozen tea smoothies. I have had the green matcha, the rooibos chai, and the pumpkin spice. They have a new flavor this year for the holidays called Red Hot Reindeer. I haven't had that one but will try it before it retires. These smoothies are like a meal. They have tea and protein powder and are made with soy milk. They are so healthy and sometimes I use them as a meal replacement. They don't taste healthy though. They taste sinfully delicious. If you have one with the cupcakes you can't get better! |

Variety: With things being slow for our family and many others in the city, I checked places out on line before I drove all the way in to town to look for gifts. I found The Path of Tea on several business listing review sites. I was looking for unique gifts that did not cost a fortune. They had gifts from $5 to $100. I ended up buying all my co-workers some cute little tins covered with Japanese paper. They were darling! I picked a different tea for each person. Then I bought a tea set for my sister. It was $48.00 and that included 4 cups. I have seen tea pots that looked like that one that cost more than double. I bought a book on cooking with tea for my daughter. I know she will love that. The prices and selection were amazing. I will remember this place next year. Oh, and they gave me a complimentary cup of tea and a cookie to enjoy while they filled my order. All the people who worked there were cheerful and helpful. The customers were all happy as well. What a neat place! |

Variety: Houston is a city that never seems to rest, but if you want to take a moment to relax and get a refreshing breath of air--there is no place that beats the Path of Tea. The very second you step through the door, your body and mind find themselves at ease. The owners, Thia and Chris McKann have paid special attention to every detail to ensure that your visit there is an experience. The service is magnificent--everything you need is taken care of. They check in on you often enough to make sure you are not in want of anything, but never overdo it. Everytime that I've been there to visit, I've seen an even balance of new customers and a healthy flow of regulars--a true sign that the service and product are top notch. All of the employees here are happy people, and you cannot help but ca... (more) |

Variety: I had a tea party for 15 twelve year olds yesterday at The Path of Tea. They loved it. The owner of the shop told the girls fun things about tea that were age appropriate. They also got to taste 5 different types of teas. They had a white elephant gift exchange after the tea tasting and cupcakes. It was the best Christmas party the girls have ever had. We never had to ask for anything, the service was excellent. The girls said the cupcakes were 'the bomb'. |

Variety: I have been looking for a special Japanese green tea that I had in Japan. It is so good. It has cherry blossoms in it. I looked everywhere and even on-line. I saw the website of The Path of Tea and it was so comprehensive so I decided to call. They had the tea. Chris told me they were only one of two tea houses in the country that had that special tea. I also found some other teas I had not had outside of China. They knew what they were talking about and I know it because I have studied tea for 25 years. This place is the real thing. |

Variety: I read an article about tea being good for your health. I know nothing about tea but how to drink it. I went on line and found this place. It had good reviews so I went in to see if I could find something to improve my health. The girl knew so much and suggested several things. I was there for about half an hour and learned more about tea than I had heard in my life. I am looking forward to getting more healthy. It really impressed me that they have only organic tea. I liked that shop and will go back. |

Variety: Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and my husband and I have so much to be thankful for. I am very thankful that I found The Path of Tea last year. It has been my haven. It has kept me calm on the most stressful days. It has made me laugh when I need to be picked up. This place is so much more than a tea shop. It is a family of unrelated sweet spirits who have come together to love and support one another. It embodies what tea is really about; harmony, purity, respect and tranquility. I have learned to make those things part of my life since I have been going there. Others can write about the atmosphere and the quality of tea, but I wanted to tell everyone about the heart of this place. It is comfort and joy and I am so thankful for it being there for me and so many others. Thank you! |

Variety: I read an article in Tea In Texas magazine written by the owner of this shop. It was all about holiday memories and about the real gifts being 'in the heart and not the box'. The article touched me so much I had to come to this shop. It was such a lovely place. I have never been into a shop like this before. My only experience with tea shops was british style with brown betty pots and scones with clotted cream and jam. I loved being able to go to the sniffing bar to smell the teas and to the tea cup wall where I could pick my own cup. That was really a nice touch. I found some nice things for Christmas gifts as well. The prices were very reasonable. I had a cake ball with my tea. Oh my, that was almost sinful! I have never had anything like that. It was delicious. I want to go back for a tea tasting with some of my lady friends. I think I made a new connection for myself. |

Variety: The atmosphere at The Path of tea is very tranquil. I can be very stressed from my day and as soon as I walk in I feel my body take a deep breath. I love the organic White Peach with a lemon bar. It is the best combination I have ever tasted. Sometimes I am there for a couple of hours but it feels like a couple of minutes. My path leads to The Path. I love that place. |

Variety: Ms. McKann came to my school this week for a tea tasting. I have never been into tea and was a confirmed coffee drinker. We tasted 5 teas. They were all so good. She told us all about the teas and where they came from and how they are processed. It was a lot of fun. We each got a cupcake and cookie as well. They were really good. I went to the shop to see what else they had. It was great. I had two more teas and even got to have a page in the tea journal so I can list the teas I have tried. I still like coffee but think I might be drinking much more tea in the future. Who knew? |
