I visited this tearoom with a group of ladies. The service was poor and the portions were very small. I would not recommend this tearoom to anyone and I have no plans of returning.

My mom and I wanted to have tea here and the lady who took my call was nice enough to squeeze us in b/c the place was packed! I enjoyed the atmosphere, but I was a little taken back by the portion size. The tea sandwiches were literally one or two small bites - not exactly what I expected for the price. There was one round sandwich that was practically the size of a silver dollar! I thought the desserts were yummy and the tea was pretty good (although rather warm). Not in a big hurry to visit again.

What happened to my favorite tea room? The service was brusque and the food was a not terribly good. Everything tasted as though it had been frozen for a long time. I used to love the scones, now they are rock hard and flavorless.
Maybe they just had a bad day.

Took my mother for lunch today-and couldn't have been more impressed. Our server was most friendly (even with a busy tearoom) and addressed our every need.
We settled on the Chicken Waldorf salad (Highly Recommended) and the Seafood Melt (Good). Both dishes were garnished beautifully and were plentiful!!
We had to have scones (although harder than what were used to) delicious none the less. And our tea was divine-Cupids Arrow for me and Lemon for my guest.
A+ for atmosphere, service and cleanliness. We will surely return and recommend the Picket Fence and Garden Tearoom to All.
