My friend, Glenna and I go antiquing once a month in the middle Georgia area. We always look for a tearoom for lunch, and since we've been doing this for a couple of years, we have visited all the tearooms we can find in this area. The Potted Geranium is by far the very best! It is exquisite in every way. It was a most enjoyable experience!

I brought my 2 favorite cousins to The Potted Geranium this past Saturday to celebrate their birthdays. And how lovely it was! Our lunch was perfect, presented beautifully and very tasty. We each had a different tea and argued that our personal selections were the best, but honestly, they each were wonderful (Blueberry, Orange Spice and The Potted Geranium Signature Blend). All of the above was fantastic, but I think what impressed me the most was how welcoming and gracious the staff was to us. I felt right at home, very pampered and did not want to leave. I can't wait for my next visit and will happily drive from Atlanta to Greensboro to visit again!

Put this one on your list of MUST visit teahouses. I recently had the pleasure of introducing my 3 nieces to this fabulous establishment. The atmosphere was relaxed, calming and friendly. The tea choices were vast and the staff very knowledgeable about the differences. The setting is a beautifully restored Victorian home with each of the 6 rooms painted and decorated in playful pastel colors. The food was AMAZING, as we each enjoyed one of the luncheon specials. The scones are the best in the world and not to be missed is the tiered tray of scones and pastries. I can't wait to introduce more of my family to this wonderful oasis in Greensboro, Georgia.

As the owner of the Franklin Village Tea Room in Franklin, Michigan, I must write that The Potted Geranium is probably one of the finest Tea Houses in North America! Everything, from the decor to the quiche, to the scones to the pastries, were devine! This is a must see for anyone within a 100 mile radius of the lovely town of Greensboro, where country charm mixed with Victorian elegance, abounds!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at The Potted Geranium. I knew I was in for a delightful experience when I pulled up in front of the lovely Victorian house. The owner has done a tremendous job restoring the house to its original beauty. The inside is breathtaking and as I was led to my table I had the opportunity to peek in the various rooms. Each room is more spectacular than the last. The colors are warm and inviting and the decor is authentically Victorian and quite charming. But my experience was just beginning. I enjoyed an amazing quiche and salad followed by a tiered tray of the most incredible scones and pastries that I have ever tasted. The staff is friendly and the service impeccable. I certainly look forward to returning soon to The Potted Geranium.

My fiancée took me to The Potted Geranium recently. Being a guy, I was a little concerned a tea parlor would be too feminine. All I can say is I want to go back. It was elegant and intimate yet comfortable and just so relaxing. The attention to detail that went into this place is noticeable everywhere. The owners have created an atmosphere where it seems like you are dinning at a friend’s beautiful historic home. The servers made us feel like family and the three tier tray I had was unbelievable. Every room is different with custom fireplaces and chandeliers. Get the owner to take you on a tour though the whole house including the upstairs. There is simply nothing like The Potted Geranium anywhere.

I've had the pleasure of dining at The Potted Geranium 3 times within the past month with my mom. They have a wide variety of tea (my personal favorites are the Blueberry, which is a black tea, and the Strawberry, which is a green tea) that are always satisfying no matter if you choose a black, white, or green tea. The teapots have a cover on them so that the tea keeps hot and so you don't burn your knuckles whilst pouring. The staff is very friendly and full of good cheer, which is a hard thing not to come by in such a wonderful place. I have yet to consume anything from The Potted Geranium that was displeasing because their chef takes a great deal of time with quality and presentation. Each room in the house is gorgeous and you can tell that a lot of time and effort went into making this... (more)

I would most definetly recomend the Potted Geranium. When I went their with my friend and her family we were truly impressed with the service quality. The waitress was very patient with us and listened to what we had to say throughout the whole meal and she was cheerful the whole time she served us. They had a large variety of choices when it came to tea and if you are not in any intrest of tea they also have wonderful lemonade and ice tea.I was also very saticfied with the tea preperation and the exterior and interior of the home.I could tell that they put alot of time effort and money into the home to make it look as nice as possible for the guests. When I was their I really felt like I was a Queen. Everyone their was so nice to us and only gave us the very best. I truly had a wonderful time and I would definetly come back again.

I had a great time during my visit to The Potted Geranium. I am not a Tearoom regular, but after my visit to this shop I have found myself searching for more cute, delicious tearooms to go visit. All of the rooms are elegantly designed down to every last detail. The food was wonderful as was every tea that I sampled. I will definitely visit again and highly recommend a visit to The Potted Geranium.

My daughter and I visited today and had a wonderful, relaxing, and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this tearoom to everyone that has not tried it. I had the #1 tearoom in Georgia on teamap for over 2 1/2 years, so until I can reopen at a later date, this will be my new favorite spot to dine and take friends and family. The house and surrounding gardens are so much more beautiful than the picture, it is stunning. Good Luck to you all, you have done an outstanding job!!!!

On May 31st, Sandra and I had a beautiful experience at the loveliest TEA ROOM that we've ever encountered. The hospitality was superb! The presentation of food items and teas were outstanding! Thank you so much for a fun day and, we'll be coming back soon.

This tearoom is superlative. The Victorian house and gardens are impeccable down to the littlest detail. The food is full of the little touches that make it outstanding. The currant scones are perfect, not soft and chewly but fine and slightly crumbly like they should be. The teas are whole leaf with a nice assortment although some additional green and white varieties would be nice. The servers are very pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. All in all, a fantastic experience.

Surrounded by beautiful azaleas, rhododendrons, and dogwoods, The Potted Geranium is a Victorian delight to behold. The interior was equally pleasing - lovely rooms, beautiful furniture, and lovely china patterns. The signature chicken salad featured grapes and pecans - light and delicious. The orange spice tea was a perfect complement to the meal. The staff was friendly and the service was superb. My visit was a birthday gift from my cousin - what a beautiful way to enjoy the day.

The owners have restored this house to Victorian opulance. The quiche and salad were excellent and of course the tea items were yummy: the scones are to die for! This is a perfect place for special occasions, as well as fun outing with lady friends. The gift shop is delightful, too. I will definitely return!

An absolutely delightful experience. The attention to detail from the furnishings to the food and the service is outstanding. It brought back sweet memories of my life in Canada with the beautiful china and the variety of fresh tea sandwiches and sweets that were known as 'dainties!'

The service and friendliness was wonderfully welcoming. The decorating was cheerful and enchanting. The flavor of the 1830 house was captured nicely with the differently colored rooms that had appropriate period furniture. The outside landscaping was nicely done and beckoning. It was a most favorable experience for me. I was with friends and we had a delightful time and enjoyed the wonderful tea and food. I had the apricot tea and a croissant with black forest ham, green apple slices and brie cheese. I also had a wonderful soup with it. The server was in a cute black dress with a ruffly white bibbed apron. She was sweet and attentive.

One word describes The Potted Geranium: 'Perfect.' This newly renovated historic house looks like the home of someone who pays close attention to details. That attention to detail carries over to the reception, the decor, and the fine tea and food. In addition to a croissant sandwich of Black Forest ham, every bit as good as Europe, the Irish breakfast tea was bold and tasty. The decor is flawless and inviting. But best of all, the owner and the server were flawless in their friendliness and presentation. This perfect place is worth traveling for. My advice to the owners is don't change a thing.

PERFECTION! I didn't think perfection existed on this earth until I visited this exceptional tea room. The owners were charming and gracious, the building and rooms are outstandingly beautiful, and the food was far superior to anything I have ever had at any tea room, and I have been to many a tea room while traveling extensively in both the US and Europe. The chef here was previously the pastry chef at a Ritz, and the food shows it - and is even better than the teas I have had at 5 different Ritz Carlton's. They experimented for months trying to come up with the perfect scone, and they were successful. Drive, fly, take the train, whatever you need to do to get here, because as far as tea rooms are concerned, the Potted Geranium is Mecca.

The first visit for our group of six friends who meet monthly for lunch and relaxation.
We tried different menu offering and found each to be a delightful surprise. The teas are lovely and the service was wonderful. If I could find more words of praise, I would use them for this welcome addition to the Lake Area.

For a lovely and gracious step back in time the Potted Geranium is the perfect place to go. The mushroom quiche and cream of broccoli soup were delicious along with the homemade scones. Individual teapots are dressed up in adorable cozies. Can't wait to go back!

This is mine and my mother's new favorite lunch spot! The food was wonderful (ham, brie, and granny smith on croissant esp. delicious); the tea was delightful; atmosphere is just right (the blue room is my favorite); the desserts were just perfect, not too heavy and sweet, a perfect accompaniment to tea. I can't wait to go back!
