We enjoyed the gracious hospitality, tasteful decor, and lovely table-settings. Many interesting tea choices were offered, and the tea was prepared well. Every finger sandwich and lovely pastry on the three-tiered tray was delectable. The scones were exceptionally fine. We went a little out of our way to get there, and it was well worth it!

This is our third visit to The Potted Geranium in Greensboro, GA (we live about 45 minutes away). As in previous visits, the tea, the food, the service, and the atmosphere were all excellent. It is definitely a special experience to go. While we had lunch today, on our first visit, we had the full tea experience which was very special.

Yesterday we had a birthday tea party luncheon for my 7 year old granddaughter at the Potted Geranium. She was totally enchanted and we had a fabulous time with lunches and tea tray. No wonderful detail about the tea, food, service and the house went unnoticed. It was the ultimate experience for our 3 generation celebration!
Thank-you to Miss Laura & Miss Rebecca for a fun time.

I drove two hours to the Potted Geranium in Greensboro, GA. to meet my sister and her daughter for tea service. We've been to a few tea rooms, but our experience at Potted Geranium felt like our first true Tea Service experience!

Everything was perfect. The tea room was like walking back in time. Everything was beautiful. The owner who greeted us and the person who served us tea were inviting, informative and incredibly friendly. The food was beyond! The asparagus quiche was the lightest and fluffiest I'd ever had. I experienced heavenly 'chilled strawberry soup' for the first time. And the assortment of scones, petit fours, and little sandwiches were the best I'd ever had. Finally, the tea was excellently brewed and presented to us in a beautiful tea service.

I highly recommended The Potted Geranium. It is worth the drive!

I visited my friend in Evans and we drove the hour to get to the Potted Geranium. It was worth every minute and mile! The food was beautifully presented and was as delicious as it looked. The hostess gave us attention without interrupting our time together. As a tea lover, one who has visited many tearooms in several states, and author of a devotional on the subject of tea, this experience was tea-lightful and ranks among the best tea experiences I have had.

My daughters and I have been blessed to have 'tea time' all over the world. In May 2014, we reached tea utopia. The Potted Geranium offered the best presentation, quality, and artistry than most of the other 'best' tea houses we've visited. You will die for the chicken salad and pimento cheese sandwiches, and leap for joy after the freshly made scones with clotted cream and preserves. We left so full and deeply satisfied, and plan to bring our friends in for birthday tea, etc. The grounds offer an exquisite cottage garden with fresh herbs and beautiful peonys, that you aren't supposed to be able to grow in garden zone 8, even! Surely God has a Hand in this place.

Three teacher friends and I had tea at the Potted Geranium. It was just the kind of lovely, fun, relaxing, but not stuffy atmosphere we needed to end the school year. The tea and food were excellent. The surroundings inside and out also fed the senses. I highly recommend either lunch or the Duchess of Bedford Tea Service. This starts off with a wonderful salad or soup and quiche then followed with a multi tier service of finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts. All very fresh and flavorful.

All I can say is 'Perfection! Perfection! Perfection!' From the moment we pulled up to the property we were charmed by every aspect! I have been to quite a few tearooms in Georgia and this by far surpasses every one. The decor and table settings were absolutely beautiful. The tea was wonderful and refreshing. The food was delicious and perfectly presented. The ambience was calming and created a lovely relaxing environment - even with 11 'chattering' friends. Service was impeccable! Laura and Rebecca have created a little bit of heaven in this charming southern town! Plan to spend the day and enjoy the shops downtown afterwards. We all can't wait to go back.

The Potted Geranium was featured in Georgia's Lake Country flyer. A friend decided that we should treat another friend to a birthday lunch there. The best choice we could have ever made. The tea selection was beyond believe and served in beautiful pots. The décor was magnificent. It was a very calm setting that allowed you to relax and enjoy the food, friends, and atmosphere. We chose the tea, Peaches and Cream - Wonderful some of the best that I have ever had. The special of the day was salmon patties and spinach salad. The food and presentation was outstanding. And the dessert - melt in your mouth peach cobbler. The staff was kind enough to present our friend with a candle in her dessert as well as a Happy Birthday song. Even the chef came out to join - what a wonderful experience. Would recommend to everyone and we will certainly return again.

My girlfriend and I spent the weekend at The Ritz Carlton to see family up at the lake. The Potted Geranium was highly recommended to her, so we decided to go for lunch on Saturday.

I have to echo the comments of Michael below. I too am a single, unmarried guy and I am almost shocked about how much I enjoyed the whole experience.

Obviously, as all the reviews on here clearly state, the house is amazing. No attention to detail has been spared and for a place with such historic value, it couldn't seem more fresh and clean.

That all said, I really want to focus on the food. I'd always thought a scone was a dry, awful pastry that one feeds to their enemies when no gruel is available. The Potted Geranium changed all of that. They have these amazing, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, scones that completely floored me. The rest of the tea tray was equally tasty, but the scones are what I'll never forget. People should make the trip for these alone!
