HELLO FEBRUARY!!! After taking a break in January, we are beyond excited to be open again! We can't wait to see our old and new friends during our new lunch hours from 11:00am to 2:00pm (Wed-Sat). And don't forget to make your reservations now for our special Valentine's Dinner!
Our gift shop offers a large assortment of new hot teas like Hot Cinnamon Spice, Caribe and Paris,... pumpkin cobblers, hot cider and various scone mixes -- you'll love the pumpkin/cranberry! And finally, you'll be impressed with our daughter's new line of locally photographed greeting cards -- handmade by Bekah Leanne Photography! We look forward to seeing YOU very soon!
In case you've driven by recently and have seen the 'For Sale' sign in our front yard,... our wonderful landlord has placed the lovely Victorian house on the market. But we continue to operate on a month-to-month lease! So come join us for lunch,... and a whole lot more! Let us hear from you if you want to buy a beautiful old house,... or become our new landlord,... or maybe buy the house and the No. 1 tea room in NC all at the same time :-)!!!
Visiting the Ruby Rose Tea Room is like stepping back in time to a different era. The century-old house is a beautiful, two-story Victorian with hand-painted murals, ornate decor and period memorabilia. Our gift shop, located upstairs, is stocked with a large variety of items for men, women and children, including homemade fudge, soaps, lotions, coffees, teas, books, Woodwick candles, antiques, sauces, hand-made cards, gift baskets and crafts as well as tea pots, cups, accessories and more.
We can seat 48 guests downstairs and, for a nominal fee, 8 guests upstairs in our private dining room. Ask about our weekly specials -- such as quiche, specialty salads and soups -- in addition to our regular lunch menu.
The Ruby Rose Tea Room makes for a lovely backdrop for special events such as baby or bridal showers, retirement parties, family or class reunions, small weddings, rehearsal dinners and especially red-hatters.
We offer dinner menu options for private parties in the evenings and also do children's birthday parties with special menu, dress-up trunk and a Victorian young lady to interact with your children. Extra charges apply.
We do ask if you have 5 or more in your party to call ahead for reservations so we may better accommodate you and your guests. The Ruby Rose Tea Room now accepts Visa and Mastercard. We serve Afternoon and Royal Tea with a 24-hour reservation Thursday-Saturday from 2:30-4:00.
Private parties after hours are available with an additional house fee.
Check us out on Facebook, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

I'm glad I met you when you were the happy happy hippo, never been around a hungry hungry hippo, but I'm sure I'd be safe either way! Hope to see you again in Feb. or Jan. for the tea.

Variety: I know that 100% is perfection, but what is 100.5%? Easy --- your rating by the health department. I guess that makes you beyond perfection, and I agree. That is certainly true of your raspberry tea and your pumpkin bread pudding. Beyond perfection, too, is the treatment your guests receive fromm your family/staff. |

If there's a place in North Carolina where literally, all of your worries melt away when you walk in the door, the Ruby Rose is that place. Variety: I have to say that I can not recommend the Royal Tea, I was expecting it to be similiar to the former owner's High Tea and it did not compare. The staff was very pleasant. Food was very good (what little there was to taste). We're in a recession, but the style and variety of food shouldn't be. |

- Karen Johnson 04/16/11 |

Karen, thanks for the honest feedback. We're sorry you were disappointed. We served two other Royal Teas on the same afternoon and received nothing but positive comments. We hope you'll give us another chance to meet and exceed your expectations!

Variety: This week has been my first experience being in Stoneville. I live in Brown Summit and work as a float teller for Fidelity bank. So I came to the Stoneville branch to fill in for someone. The girls recommended Ruby Rose Tea Room. What a lovely place! I felt welcome the moment I walked in the door. I was greeted by a lovely young lady, daughter of Tammy, I presume. She did tell me her name, but of course it left my brain before I got to this review! The soup of the day was onion and sooo delicious!! And the cheese cake w/strawberries, too good! I will be back and recommend to all I know! Thanks! |

Variety: I've been privileged to go to The Ruby Rose Tea Room on numerous occasions--sometimes just for a relaxing lunch, sometimes for a birthday, recently for both a baby shower on a relaxed Saturday afternoon and a large group of friends meeting on Valentine's evening. Every time I've been, I've found the service staff to be attentive, efficient, and friendly and the food to be delicious (especially that Valentine's Day chicken with the cranberry reduction). It is nice to have in our town such a special place that has charm, personality, and great food. The Victorian decor is beautiful and easily transports visitors from today's busy lifestyle to an afternoon in another era. I am proud that my friends, the owners, are able to surprise even me with the level of professional excellence since I... (more) |

The whole staff is very attentive and service is fast. Your place gives you the feeling of 'Serenity' (Sereni-Tea), which is a state of calmness or peace. How many places can you go to get that? May the Lord bless you and your lovely wife. Thank you for sharing your beautiful 'little nook' in Stoneville, NC. |

Variety:
Ruby Rose is a dynamic place to enjoy a great dinner and relax. Tammy and her husband are very pleasant owners. They know how to treat their guests. I am newly engaged and I love eating outdoors. We went on Saturday and the porch was sort of cool. Tammy made us feel at home under the tree. She came out with the white table cloths and all, just to make us feel at home! What a blessing it is to have a place in my area to come to like the Ruby Rose. |

It's one I'll never forget; Tammy had prepared 2 of the dinner items especially for me, onion-free, and that's beyond anything I would have expected. The atmosphere was romantic, the food perfectly prepared, the service outstanding, personal and attentive as usual, and the experience was just perfect. Anytime I want to put some 'special' into my day, I head to Ruby Rose. |
