The Ruby Rose Tea Room

So as promised - I have had the opportunity twice within the month of December to visit The Ruby Rose Tea room..... both times it was awesome! I entered as a hungry hungry hippo and left as a happy happy hippo!! The entire experience is just that, an experience! Thank you for wonderful food and hospitality!!!!!

I know that 100% is perfection, but what is 100.5%? Easy --- your rating by the health department. I guess that makes you beyond perfection, and I agree. That is certainly true of your raspberry tea and your pumpkin bread pudding. Beyond perfection, too, is the treatment your guests receive fromm your family/staff.

The big attraction to this very special place is the tremendous service as well as the atmosphere of the beautiful victorian home.
It is really special for holiday gatherings or any occasion big or small. We recently had our Christmas Red Hat luncheon. It was fabulous, and we hope to be back very soon!

Nine ladies from our church had our Christmas lunch today at RRTR.Everyone had a wonderful time and just went on and on about the whole experience.

This was my second time in 2 months to Ruby Rose and I hope to return in February. I wish I had known about this delightful place before now!

My daughter and I were there for the THANKSGIVING LUNCH. It was a delightful experience! The varied menu was attractive on the plate and yummy to the taste. The service was second to none! Our waitress Amy attended to our every need today as we dined at Ruby Rose. The food and service were excellent. Touring the house after lunch was a special treat, taking us back in time.

Had the chicken, bean, taco soup and it was wonderful along with the apple salad. The pumkin cake was divine. Amy was our server and the service and food were excellent and hope to go back soon.

I would like to thank Tammy and Ken for helping us with our son and 'new' daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner on 9/23/2011. They were so great in helping us host a wonderful celebration dinner for them as well as our special friends. The food was fantastic, the service amazing, and the house was so beautiful. Thank you so much for hosting our prayer shawl group luncheon. Everything was terrific...food, service, atmosphere. A little rain didn't spoil a thing. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I love this place. The decor just takes you back to another time and just melts yours worries away. The food is always excellent and the staff are so sweet. I have been there several times and they just feel like family now to me and my friends. The best place to go in Rockingham County, NC.

what a FUN destination! I was totally surprised by the warm welcome (from the waitree, Amy, and then from the owner as well after the meal), fun decor (beautiful faux painting), great meal and great tea! The peach vinagrette dressing was so good, I took some home! HIGHLY recommend!

The Ruby Rose is a gem. It's more than a tea room...it's an experience and a step back in time. The service was excellent and the atmosphere relaxing and quaint. I couldn't have asked for better food. I also had two pots of the raspberry truffle tea! If there's a place in North Carolina where literally, all of your worries melt away when you walk in the door, the Ruby Rose is that place. I live over an hour away, but this establishment is now on my list of regular visits. The drive is totally worth it, and adds to the feeling of getting away from the rush and relaxing at a place that still holds that old-world charm! Highly recommended!!!

Charming atmosphere, friendly service, and excellent tea and food. Don't forget to order dessert. The signature chocolate eclair cake was awesome.

Like going back in time. I must say this was my very favorite experience in a long time. Decorated beyond description, so beautiful! Make sure you visit the second floor. The food was delicious. You can order from the menu, you don't have to do a tea. I love it and now have a special place to take company and friends. Take the men, too. Everyone will love it.

I drove over 40 mile to visit Ruby Rose Tea, I was worth every mile.

A pleasant luncheon experience, a little off the beaten track and far enough from Greensboro to count as an 'outing.'
But it's not that far and is located in the fine Southern village of Stoneville NC.

Thank you ladies for making my Royal Tea experience one I shall not soon forget! The service was impeccable,the food outstanding and the atmosphere a wonderful respite for my soul!

What a surprise I had when two of my dear friends treated me to Royal Tea at Ruby Rose. The colors and vintage items used in the decor set the stage for delicious food and tea. Most of all, the friendly welcome and presentation makes me want to come back soon.

This is the best tearoom I've ever been to. And I've been in several tearooms, even in Europe. The variety in food offered is great and the quality and quantity is perfect. Everyone that is working there is very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. I love the owners, they are very sweet and great people. They really do their best to make everything perfect for you. The high noon tea that they serve was even better then the one I had in London where the high noon tea comes from. This is really worth the trip and I will definately visit this rearoom many times more.

Was my first visit and I was greatly impressed with the whole operation. The food was outstanding, the employees were very friendly and the decor was great. I will return again shortly and might even ask my girl friend hand in marriage while eating. It is a great place and if you go please go up stairs and see the decor there it is awesome.

Ruby Rose Tea Room was well worth the drive. The staff was absolutely wonderful and accomodating. The food was fresh, delicious, and you could tell it was homemade. The tea was great as well. Our party of 13 came to Ruby Rose for a bridesmaids luncheon. We were in the green room, a cozy room with perfect atmosphere. We had pre-selected our menu. The food was excellent and the desserts to die for. Service wss wonderful and friendly. You get so much for such a reasonable price. Many of us were from out-of-town. Ruby Rose set a relaxing, enjoyable tone for the beginning of the wedding weekend.

I have visited this establishment many times and plan to continue for many more! I always love the friendly, smiling faces I encounter there and the ambiance is spectacular! My Mother and her sisters once reserved the room upstairs for a Christmas event and were throughly thrilled! I enjoy everything about this place and it is my favorite little get away from the world when I need a quiet relaxing afternoon to myself now and then! My Mother and I even share Mother/Daughter lunches here regularly as well.

My husband & I took our Moms to Ruby Rose Tea Room for an early Mother's Day lunch. The service and food were excellent. Everyone was impressed with the quality of the food. We enjoyed our waitress, Kathryn, who was very easy going and acceptant of my Dad's teasing as well as attentive to everyone's needs. I had the peach iced tea and it was wonderful! My Mother was scoping it out as well to tell the ladies at her church about it to see if they might be interested in an outing there. I was there with my Mother on April 23, 2011. The service, ambience, and food were all outstanding. I believe the scones were the best I had ever eaten!! A wonderful experience!

I was at your Royal Tea with my sister, niece and mother on April 16th and the tea was exactly as it should have been. We loved the food and the service was exceptional. A tea is different than a brunch and this was not understood by my sister but it is all clear now. Thank you again for the fantastic food.

I have to say that I can not recommend the Royal Tea, I was expecting it to be similiar to the former owner's High Tea and it did not compare. The staff was very pleasant. Food was very good (what little there was to taste). We're in a recession, but the style and variety of food shouldn't be.

This week has been my first experience being in Stoneville. I live in Brown Summit and work as a float teller for Fidelity bank. So I came to the Stoneville branch to fill in for someone. The girls recommended Ruby Rose Tea Room. What a lovely place! I felt welcome the moment I walked in the door. I was greeted by a lovely young lady, daughter of Tammy, I presume. She did tell me her name, but of course it left my brain before I got to this review! The soup of the day was onion and sooo delicious!! And the cheese cake w/strawberries, too good! I've been privileged to go to The Ruby Rose Tea Room on numerous occasions--sometimes just for a relaxing lunch, sometimes for a birthday, recently for both a baby shower on a relaxed Saturday afternoon and a large group of friends meeting on Valentine's evening. Every time I've been, I've found the service staff to be attentive, efficient, and friendly and the food to be delicious (especially that Valentine's Day chicken with the cranberry reduction). It is nice to have in our town such a special place that has charm, personality, and great food. The Victorian decor is beautiful and easily transports visitors from today's busy lifestyle to an afternoon in another era. I brought a friend for her birthday. Everything was wonderful. We come on her birthday and mine. I talked with a real nice man, the owner, I understand. What a wonderful gentleman. Ruby Rose Tea Room does excellent birthday parties for girls. They have Victorian clothes for them to dress us in and a hostess that is dressed in her Victorian clothes. The hospitality, food and the way they handled children is superb. I would recommend this very highly.

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a nice, quiet lunch at The ruby Tose Tea Room last Thursday. We ordered the turkey and cheese on croissant and white bean chili. It was delicious. We actually gave our meal a 10-especually the 'soup'. The whole experience was exceptional and we look forward to our next lunch there soon.

Ruby Rose is a dynamic place to enjoy a great dinner and relax. Tammy and her husband are very pleasant owners. They know how to treat their guests. I am newly engaged and I love eating outdoors. We went on Saturday and the porch was sort of cool. Tammy made us feel at home under the tree. She came out with the white table cloths and all, just to make us feel at home! What a blessing it is to have a place in my area to come to like the Ruby Rose.

My husband and I went for dinner on Valentine's Day. It's one I'll never forget; Tammy had prepared 2 of the dinner items especially for me, onion-free, and that's beyond anything I would have expected. The atmosphere was romantic, the food perfectly prepared, the service outstanding, personal and attentive as usual, and the experience was just perfect. Anytime I want to put some 'special' into my day, I head to Ruby Rose.

I recently visited Ruby Rose with several ladies in the Old North State Tea Society. What a lovely, lovely place! The owners were very accommodating, which made for a wonderful experience. I chose the Hot Cinnamon Spice tea, which was excellent. So were the scones! This place is definitely a winner!

Great place to eat and visit with good friends as I did today. The atmosphere is so relaxing and cheerful. The food was wonderful and the staff is super friendly and made our visit an enjoyable one. Looking foward to eating there many more times.

This beautiful tea room,Ruby Rose,is pleasing to the eye and palate from the moment you enter.The clean and uncluttered Victorian atmosphere is enhanced by lovely wall landscape paintings,lace and roses. My Social Sorority Ladies group of 14 had our annual Valentine Brunch on Sat 2/12 at the Ruby Rose Tea Room. This was my first visit. The house is decorated beautifully and our dining area was very charming. We had preordered a breakfast casserole which was delious we had a side choice of potatoe salad,pasta salad or chilli chicken soup. Our lunch also came with a side of fruit in a wonderful sauce. Several choices for dessert so my table all ordered a different one and we shared-Heavenly. Tammy more than met our expectations it was a most enjoyable afternoon with my sisters. I would highly recommend this beautiful place in Stoneville, NC.

This tearoom lacks nothing. The lunch menu offers a variety of delicious soups, salads, sandwiches, and affordable combos. Service is impeccable. I'd go every day if I could; it exceeded my expectations the first time and has met them since that initial visit. The atmosphere is quaint Victorian, charming all the way. It is not to be missed.
