Variety: Great food in a fabulous setting. Everything on the high tea was excellent, so I went back with another friend for lunch. Try the Sampler where you get a cup of soup, 1/2 sandwich and both pea and cranberry salad. Both salads are best of class...wish I had the recipes! The perfect place for lunch with a friend or go for the high tea for a truly decadent afternoon meal. I will be a regular despite the 1/2 hour drive from my home. |

Variety: Loved it once again. This is the best tea room I have visited, food is as good or better than any of the high end hotels that offer high tea. It is a bit of a drive from Seattle where I live but well worth the effort. |

Variety: This is a wonderful tea room! My family brought me here for Mother's Day again this year and everything was fantastic. For Mother's Day, there was a set menu, so all we had to do was each pick out our favorite tea from the expansive section of leaf teas (my favorite - Russian Caravan) and enjoy. The food was wonderful and plentiful - a great value - and came with a beautiful tea cup and saucer to take home. I love the atmosphere of this beautiful old home. It reminds me of the home I grew up in in Missouri. Afterwards we took pictures in the garden out front. This tea room is the perfect place for a special occasion or just a great time with friends. Highly recommended. |

Variety: I love taking an afternoon and having tea in this wonderful setting. If is so comfortable, one can dress up or come as you are and feel elagant. The food is always wonderful, Although I will admit I fill up on scones and lemon curd, its my favorite. I will continue to make lunch plans with friends so I have and excuse to share this delightful place with others. |

Variety: Whenever I am planning a trip I check out teamap for the best tearooms in the area I'm going to visit, this is how I discovered the Secret Garden. What a beautiful victorian mansion! My friend and I each had the Hollyhock tea. Everything was delicious, (the scones were to die for) and the savories were such a wonderful addition that most tearooms overlook. The wide selection of Teas was fantastic, I had to take a few bags of loose tea home with me. Oh, and I forgot to mention the service, Perfect! The ambiance, food and service make this one the best tearooms I have ever been to, maybe the best. I cant wait to come back!! |

Variety: My mom and I really enjoyed the Sweetheart Luncheon. It was nice and leisurely with wonderful service, delicious food, and an ambiance of beauty and tranquilty. We sampled the White Ambrosia (the smell is heaven), Caramel Toffee and Afternoon Garden Party teas and liked them all. My mom had the turkey salad sandwich, while I had the Lorraine Vegetarian quiche - both were very yummy! The frozen cranberry salad and tomato soup was good and we barely had room for our petite Valentine sweets. Oh, and the scones were perfect, with fresh devonshire cream and creamy lemon curd. I'd definitely recommend this tea room and look forward to going again. |

Variety: My friend and I decided to treat ourselves for the holidays. This was a perfect place to go. The food was marvelous. The pea salad was my favorite. The Christmas decorations made the house even more beautiful and I wouldn't have thought you could make the house more beautiful. The service was great. I love the waitress, she was so sweet. I am going to recommend this tea house to all my friends. I will definately be treating myself more often. |

Variety: This Tea Room was such a disappointment to me and my friends. It was our Christmas treat to ourselves and we were so looking forward to it. We had to stand and wait in the very small entry area for 30 mins. Tables in the dining room were empty, but we had to wait and wait and wait. Once seated we had to wait yet another fifteen minuets before we were approached by a waitress.Another ten minuets before we received our tea and placed our order. The food was OK. Some very strange flavor combination's. Also everything was backwards. We were given our scones first, then our sorbet, and then the stacker with the sandwiches and savories. l always understood that those should be offered first. You may ask were they busy. NO. Three small tables were all that was accupied. All of the tables that were... (more) |

Variety: I love this place! We just had our book club christmas party at the tea room on Saturday. My friends had been raving about it for a while but this was my first visit. The service was excellent and the food even better. It is also decorated so well for the holidays - great way to celebrate with friends! I will be going back again very soon. |

Variety: Last Christmastime I made a reservation for a group here and upon arriving we were made to stand in the foyer and wait to be seated for more than 15 minutes. The owner was not very nice to me and my group. I do not recommend group gatherings of more than 3 at this location. Everything else was nice. |
