What an unenjoyable experience, only made worse by the horrific attitude of the owner/manager.
More, typical menu with limited tea selection. Yawn. Will never frequent again OR recommend even to enemies.

Delicous! Had Duplic-Tea/Down Under Sanwich and The Brit (both very good). Nicely presented. Scones were just the right size. Liked the cake-like texture. I wasn't overly-stuffed-just pleasantly confortable. Definitely will return and pass the word to my friends. Yes, desserts were yummyu, too. Good Luck!

On a warm Spring day I ioted for iced tea. My White blueberry iced tea was subtle & refreshing and my mother who does not drink tea was accommodated with fresh brewed iced coffee. Our food was abundant and delicious! I would recommend The Serving Spoon to anyone who likes a casual but lovely atmosphere and great food and service.

Went here with a couple of friends. It was a little of the ordinary 'frilly' tea house, which I enjoyed. The owner was informative and friendly and the food was excellent. I loved the fact that 'industrial' met with antique china. It was tons of fun. This is more than a tea room, it really is a full breakfast and lunch restaurant with a tremendous catering kitchen-which we got a tour of. The Serving Spoon also happens to server tea. Everything was fresh and delicous.

I have been to the Serving Spoon a few times for tea service and I have really enjoyed myself each and every time. I was recently excited to see that they now offer their wide variety of specialty hot teas in iced tea format. This was excellent given the fact that I visited on a hot day and was in the mood for something cold. The tea sandwiches were delectable and were larger than one would expect for a tea service. They were different from those 'traditional' tea sandwiches. I especially loved the chicken waldorf wrap. I recently learned that they also cater tea service off-site. I got to have a lovely conversation with the owner, Andrea, who is a spunky lady who is more than happy to spend time getting to know her customers. The Serving Spoon is a must visit!

Took my daughters and neices the other day. It was after 1:30pm and the lunch crowd was dying down, so we had a very nice peaceful time. The owner greated us and let my youngest daughter wear a special crown. This is nit your ordinary tea room-but I loved the contemporary interior served along antique china and silver. The tea selection was wonderful as well was the food and presentation. There was enough food to feed us all and they did not skimp on anything. I highly reccomend The Serving Spoon-it is worth the trip off the beaten track. Just make sure that they know you are there for the tea, as they serve a full breakfast and lunch menu as well.

I had a great time at the Tea Room. The excellent food is only accented by the large variety of choices offered. The sweet potatoe fries were particularly amazing if you're looking for a guilty pleasure. I liked the wide selection of loose teas from the loose tea menu and the fancy cups they came in were very high class.

This restaurant is not actually a tea room. It's more of a deli/coffeehouse, with a few tearoom-ish touches. When we first arrived, the only staff was one man behind the counter, so we ordered there, and then got our own drinks. The scones and other desserts didn't look very fresh and we decided to pass. My partner actually decided on bottled water instead of tea. Apparently table service was available, but no other staff came out from the back until about five minutes later. The tea is all bagged--perhaps an above average selection for a deli or coffeehouse, but don't expect to see a teapot or even saucers here. The sandwiches were big, hearty and delicious, and served on old fashioned dinner plates you might find at home rather than restaurant stoneware. We had a choice of fries, sweet-p... (more)otato fries, chips, or mashed potatoes. My full-sized cucumber and cream cheese sandwich (brought to the table) must have required at least one whole cucumber to make. It had been through a panini press, which made it extra tasty. The napkins at the steel tables were paper. An assortment of cheery stemmed water glasses adorned each table (except ours for some reason). If you are in the area and would like an above average sandwich for lunch, by all means stop by this establishment. However, billing it as a tea parlor is arguable deceptive. The staff was very friendly: my service rating is for that which would be expected at an actual tearoom.

One would not expect to find an oasis of tea service in the middle of an office park, but that's exactly what we found in The Serving Spoon located in Jamesburg, NJ. The Serving Spoon offers a wide variety of teas to please everyone in our group. I had a hard time choosing which tea to have and I look forward to going back to try them all. The tea sandwiches were large, non-traditional, and was one of the highlights of our trip! The desert selection was scrumptious as were the scones. We did not leave hungry! We came after 1 pm, which was great because the lunch crowd had left and we could relax and enjoy ourselves. Can't wait to go back!
