Overview
The 'Grande Dame' of area tearooms, the new St. James Tearoom managed to move to a new, more centralized location in Albuquerque and grow in size while still not losing that quaintness and excellence that characterized the former location. Constructed after a three year design process, with a private tea terrace and cleverly constructed courtyards so that even the most interior seating areas have windows into a private garden, the new St. James is truly exquisite. 'Finally,' says Daniel Higbie, owner and son of Mary Alice Higbie, 'we have a location that represents what was in our minds from the first place, a facility designed to facilitate peace, relaxation, refinement, and excellence in every way.'

Variety: The menu shifts monthly, and I intend on attending frequently. The atmosphere is definitely business-casual plus, and ladies are strongly encouraged to wear a proper hat. |
