Originally built in 1906 by Mr. T. L. Wilson, a prominent attorney, The Stanford Inn offers six delightfully decorated and comfortable guest rooms; each with its own private bathroom, cable television and wireless internet access. Guests will enjoy the freshly-made daily gourmet breakfast & lunch as well as afternoon tea served in the gracious turn-of-the-century atmosphere of the Stanford Inn. This picturesque bed and breakfast & Tea House is situated on a quiet corner lot in downtown Bartow, known as “The City of Oaks and Azaleas”. Cinephiles may recognize The Stanford Inn from its prominent feature as the Sultenfuss' residence in the 1991 film “My Girl,” starring Dan Aykroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis, Anna Chlumsky and Macaulay Culkin.

I brought my sister in law and my two nieces to tea. The Stanford Inn is beautiful, a great setting for a tea room. But that is where it ended. We were put in a room by ourselves, and forgotten. Our server did not know what was on our tray, she had to go and ask. Had to ask for water, cream and sugar. The quality of food was less than average. |

Food: This was my first time visiting and in fairness I will go back and order something else to seee the difference.We had Cora's afternoon tea and I must say I was disapointed.egg salad on what appaered to be a hotdog bun.store bought scones and cool whip for cream???? |

Food: I thoroughly enjoyed the architecture of the home. The decor reminded of the beautiful homes up north. Our waitress was delightful and very attentive. I enjoyed the owner taking time and coming to our table to talk with us. The food was so incredible we purchased an extra lunch to bring home. I will definitely be back!! |

Food: Loved food that was presented but disappointed that there was only one little sandwich. Even though there was a chicken croissant and a turkey wrap, I really wanted the small sandwiches that I had on a previous visit. Was told that Coras tea was presented differently from time to time. Is this so? |

Food: My Red Hat Sister and I had Cora's Tea at the Stanford Inn, decor, food, service and atmosphere was beyond fantastic. Gift shop is neat and well supplied. We also got a short tour of the B&B. Will go back several times. |
