Tearoom Response
Dear Sara, We would love for The Tea Cup to be your special get-away. We have a lot of gals who come alone or with friends to quietly plan events, meetings, to-dos, read books, play word games, or just diffuse from a hectic day, aside from zillions of theraputic conversations. Aren't we lucky to work at such a place. We are delighted to help you have just the experience you are looking for. Thanks again, Lynn & Staff

Variety: I went to another tea room in Brandon on Parsons (Victorian Grace) and they treated me very unprofessionally. I was almost intimidated to seek out another but was glad to find this little tea room. The people were great and the food was phenominal. I am so glad to find the tea cup. |

The gals work hard to prepare great tasting food and do their best to let each guest know how special they are to us. Variety: I have visited this tea room on 4 different occasions and each visit left me feeling relaxed and grateful for the experience. The variety of teas is wonderful. My favorite must be the lemon lavender - how soothing, yet each one I try leaves me wanting more. The food is delicious and never overpowering. The chicken cranberry salad is to die for. And the petite deserts... ooh la la! Just enough so as not to feel you've been bad. Lets not forget the unique gift shop... There are several items I'll be back for. I look forward to the holiday dinners so I can introduce my hubby to this fine establishment. |

Variety: Each time I have visited the Tea Cup, my experience has been outstanding. The selection of teas are numerous (hot and iced), the food is unique and delicious and the atmosphere is always relaxing and quaint. The cream of chicken, artichoke and brie soup is a must taste experience. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. Before or after the visit, browsing through the gift shop will surely reveal many unseen treasures. We are lucky to have this culinary treasure in our backyard. |

Variety: I spent a lovely couple of hours on Saturday having lunch with a girlfriend, and we had a wonderful time. We were seated in a room that we had to ourselves most of the time, which pleasantly surprised me--the parking lot was full so I expected to be crammed in the middle of a bustling room. The food was delicious, and I was only sad that I didn't have room for dessert. My tea (decaf English breakfast) was perfectly brewed, and I tried my friend's Paris tea as well--very tasty, I think I'll have that next time. The young man who waited on us was a little distracted, but he was very helpful in finding out answers to our tea questions if he didn't know himself. We weren't rushed at all and were able to really enjoy our time there. I'll definitely be back! |
- Helena Berg 09/24/09 |
Tearoom Response
Dear Helena, We look forward to sharing each of our 44 teas with you and all of your friends. I apologize for our distracted server; that would be my 17 year old son Cameron who works only on weekends. He has a great attitude and a sweet spirit but is undoubtedly more comfortable on the football field. I am chuckling! We are working on him. Don't dispare! We are delighted that you had a truly relaxing day with us! Thank you ever so much for your kind review. Lynn and Staff
Variety: I have tried many Teahouses in the Tampa area and the Tea Cup is by far the best one! The food, service and ambiance are perfect!! Try it...you will be happy. While a little pricey, it is definitely in line with all other teahouses and worth every penny. |
- Jane 09/24/09 |
Tearoom Response
Dear Jane, It was great to see you the other day! Thank you for your cheerful review. We appreciate that you bring to attention our pricing. If compared to popular local lunch style restaurants we do cost a bit more. However we do make everything fresh homemade. It is definately more expensive to pay staff to bake and cook each item on our menu. We do make everything homemade right down to our salad dressings. We are a small restaurant and must purchase smaller quantities because we demand high quality and freshness. We use delicate china and tablecloths to provide a comfy tablesetting; these items require hand washing and laundering. We are unique and take joy in creating an experience for you that is also unique. We could in no way compete with restaurant chains; however, we do our best to keep our prices as low as possible. I am truly but a volunteer to see a dream grow. We feel so good when folks understand what we are all about and appreciate the choices we make to be who we are. With sincere and bountiful appreciation, thank you, thank you. We sure look forward to seeing you again soon. Lynn and Staff

Variety: Of course being naturally nosy I had to first read the other reviews and I have to say I'm stunned I am a frequent visitor of this wonderful Tea room because of its down home feel and its warm staff no to mention the food is amazing! Its funny to in response to the last review I remember the first time the waitress ever served me I was shocked to find out she had other guest since she made us feel as if we were her only guest keep up the great work I will definitely be back soon |

Variety: Service was very slow! Waitress waited on several tables without even giving us a second glance. Finally after ordering we waited 30 minutes for food. The owner worked the room but offered no help for food delivery. I felt for the money it was very disappointing and I live in area but doubt I will be returning or recommending the tearoom. |

Dear Dawn, Please give us another chance to win you over. I apologize that your experience was disappointing. Allow us to make it up to you. Thank you for your review. Lynn & Staff

Variety: I have enjoyed tea at the tea cup acouple times now and I must say I just love it! The food and service!I also read some of the comments people have written here and just want to laugh at the ones that are so picky. The point is to calm yourself ,relax, enjoy the food atmosphere and the company of those your with.I could find no fault and even booked my daughters bridal luncheon there. |
- Rhonda 09/18/09 |
Tearoom Response
Dear Rhonda, Thank you for your kind words of encourgement. We do love to create a relaxing experience for each of our guests. We admit that we are not always perfect but it is our true desire to welcome you into our cozy little home and share a friendly, tranquil experience over a delicious cup of tea and great home made lunch, brunch or high tea. We look forward to making your daughter's bridal luncheon an uplifting memorable experience. Thanks again, Lynn & Staff

Variety: Truly, the Tea Cup is a very charming place! The gift shop has many adorable things to choose from and the different seating rooms are very pretty and inviting! I will say, though, that I was a bit disappointed with the tea and the food. Although tasty, the tea was not very hot. This is the 'signature' item, so should have been 'top-notch'! The soup, too, was only luke warm. The dessert (cookie) was hard and didn't seem very fresh. So, overall, it is the environment that I will remember, not the tea or food! If you want to purchase a sweet gift for a friend or family member, you are sure to find a treasure at the Tea Cup! |
- Lisa 09/02/09 |
Tearoom Response
Dear Lisa, Thank you for your sweet, sweet words about our gift shop. We've recently changed the dessert you were referring to, so that is not to worry. Our soups are kept at the temperature required by food safety standards. We do understand that some folks like food hotter, but we must follow these rules for our guests safety. Take care, Lynn and Staff

Variety: As frequent tea room visitors, The Tea Cup Tea Room is our favorite tea room in the area. They offer a wide variety of menu options, including lunch specials so you do not have to get High Tea. They also offer a great and flavorful teas. The food is delicious and the service is freindly and attentive. The owner and staff makes you feel at home. The atmosphere is relaxing and makes for a great get away. |
- Danielle and Diane 08/27/09 |
Tearoom Response
Dear Danielle and Diane, We certainly appreciate your kind words. Our new menu will feature three high teas and we will be adding several new options to our two daily soups, three entree salads and five signature sandwiches, not to mention more combos like our Secret Garden Du Jour. Our tea list has grown to over 50 loose leaf teas to choose from on any given day. Thank you so very much for noticing. The gals are working hard and truly appreciate your business and delightful compliments. We look forward to seeing the two of you again soon! Rich Blessings to you, Lynn and Staff

Variety: Nothing outstanding here....had to wait quite a while to be seated and yes, we had a reservation. Front door not the entrance..actual entrance accessed from the rear. A wee sign would be appreciated. I am a tearoom aficionado ...don't know how this one is ranked No. 3 out of 117. Tea was nice, if you didn't mind having to pick from a list instead of server offering 'tea of the day'. I enjoyed my apricot/peach flavored choice. My friend (guest) asked for jasmine - not available. Scone was good, chicken salad (sans onion, please) was very nice, Fruit was nice addition to the tea sandwich tier. One of the desserts was absolutely ROCK HARD...my friend couldn't begin to cut it apart, let alone risk trying to bite into whatever it was called. Jade thought possibly overcooked....WAY, WAY so. Just hope the locals will keep this tearoom operational - maybe you do more lunch business than high tea takers. |
- Tiss 08/15/09 |
Tearoom Response
Dear Tiss, Thank you for your comments, we appreciate constructive comments and do our very best to improve on anything and everything possible. I apologize that our white chocolate macadamia nut tart with white chocolate mousse was not cooked appropriately for you. We do make mistakes and appreciate cheerful guidance. We are extremely blessed to have an amazing following of kind and thoughtful guests who support us regularly. We do however feel that offering 40 plus teas is far preferable to only one a day; we will not be changing that. Thank you again, Lynn and Staff
Variety: I was disappointed when I visited this tea room. The food left a lot to be desired, too expensive for the quality. Service slow and very noisy atmosphere with other guests in small room. The owner may be very nice, according to reviews, although we would not know because we never saw him or her, unless our server, Jade is the owner. I do not understand how this tea room ranks so well. So much for reviews. Very disappointed. Will not return. |
- Bob 08/11/09 |
Tearoom Response
Dear Bob, I apologize that I was unable to visit with you and your guests. I had to take my daughter to the doctors. Sometimes my priorities do not allow me to be everywhere at the same time. Thank you for taking time to leave your thoughts. Lynn and Staff

Variety: I have been to several tea rooms in the past and this one definitely surpasses them all. The food in all the other ones has been okay, but nothing to write home about. The service was also okay, but not warm and homey feeling and last, but not least:) the gift shop here had such unique items that you don't find at your ordinary stores. When we chose to hold a baby shower here I was expecting nice and ordinary, but to my exciting surprise everything was so welcoming. The food was like a 10 star restaurant, I know I didn't say 5 star because it was that good...everything, not one particular thing...everything! The tea was especially surprising. I had only one tea and I wish I could remember the name, but I normally like to try everything, but I instead stayed with this one because it was so good! Anyway, for a nice lunch out with a good friend or even a special client, I would highly recommend this place. The people there will definitely make you feel at home. |

Tearoom Response
Dear Dana, Thank you kindly for the lovely review. We have a great staff that is dedicated to providing our guests the best experience possible. We are just thankful for the blessings our guests such as yourself bestow upon us. The thanks all go to you. Sincerely, Lynn and Staff
Variety: I have been here twice and love the atmosphere, staff and food! Please consider these things to help your business: always seat reservation guests first (too bad for walk-ins--they will just have to decide if they want to wait), don't seat people with high tea reservations in the gift shop--no matter what, if you pray for a good weekend crowd, overstaff!! God obviously hears your prayers(smile!), give people a complimentary appetizer if waiting more than 20 mins or a discount. We are totally forgiving for the small faux pas listed above...we WILL be back!! Overall, LOVE IT! |
- Christie V 07/30/09 |
Tearoom Response
Dear Christie, You are completely right! We do offer appetizers when we are caught off guard and folks wait longer than anticipated; however sometimes (when we are blessed with an over-abundant crowd) we are thrown off our game and that was one of those days. As I had explained my server accidently gave your reserved table to a walk-in and that sunk our ship. Again, I am so deeply sorry but had no other option and did not want to have you wait 90 minutes henceforth the table in the gift shop. I still accept full responsibility for the complete blunder on my part and appreciate how gracious you and your guest were that day. I was even off on my guestimate waiting times by a bit, but we will do everthing possible to make sure that does not happen again. We have already made some changes to help us as our business grows. I only wish in these times I was able to keep an oversized staff every day. We certainly appreciate your kind and constructive advice. Please visit again and allow us to 'treat' you (on the house) how you deserve to be treated as a Tea Cup guest.

Variety: My daughter had her 7th Birthday Party here. She had 12 little girls as guests. The staff did a fantastic job entertaining them and the girls were all little ladies through the whole party. Best tea room around!!!! |
- Tricia Bradberry 07/28/09 |
Tearoom Response
Wow Trisha, Thank you! I am certainly blessed with the sweetest and hardest working staff I could possibly imagine. They are just that... a blessing... just as kind and appreciative guests such as yourself are to all of us at The Tea Cup. Thanks again for the warm fuzzies! Lynn and Staff
Variety: Have been to this tea room twice. Once for lunch with two other ladies and last week with my daughter and 3 grand daughters and a friend of mine, her two daughters in laws and three grand children. We had pre ordered our food and everything was done just perfectly. The grand daughters all had the little sugs lunch and it was just perfect for them. My daughter and I had the high tea tray and so did my friend . All of us had the pots of whole leaf tea. Mine was Royal Wedding---tates just like pound cake---wonderful! We all love the room we were in---same room both times---very well done---traditional I would say---lovely. All in all a great experience and we can't wait to return! |

Variety: I just returned from a luncheon at The Tea Cup. There were 20 women in my group, in addition to the regular customers dining there. ALL of us received excellent service. We each ordered off the menu, and everyone was very satisfied. Not only was the food fresh and delicious, it was also beautifully presented on lovely china. The atmosphere is so charming! Attention to detail is obvious wherever you look. The entire experience was perfect! |

- Judy Lutzenberger 07/23/09 |
Tearoom Response
Dear Judy, The pleasure was all ours. You made my day each time we bumped into one another you had another glowing compliment. It shows a generous spirit and a kind heart to share such feelings about your experience. We can't thank you enough for adding warm sunshine to our day. We will look forward to seeing you again real soon. Thank you for choosing to share your day with us at The Tea Cup, Lynn and Staff
Variety: I wish I could say that our experience was as wonderful as these other reviews, but it was not. While the server was very friendly and helpful the service was so slow. We really did not like brewing our tea at the table with a timer, then removing the tea bag ourselves. The chicken panini sandwich was good, the salad that was served with it was full of spring mix greens but lacked anything else. The high tea we ordered left a lot to be desired, the food nothing out of the ordinary. Prices were too much for the quality of food. |
- Denise 07/12/09 |
Tearoom Response
Dear Denise, So sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations. If we were aware of your feelings during your visit we would have bent over backwards to please you. the servers and I take turns checking on every table and the majority of our guests 'gush' over their experience and especially the taste and quality of our food. I sincerely apologize and would love to have the oportunity to satisfy your expectations; please try us again. Thank you, Lynn and Staff
Variety: I have been to 'The Tea Cup' many times and always know I will get friendly service and a yummy meal. Jade is a great waitress and always has a smile on her face. Lynn, the owner, will stop by our table to chat and offer a tiara and boa to my 7 & 10 year old girls - well, me too, for that matter. My favorite items on the menu are the Chicken Artichoke soup, Chicken Salad on croissant, the High Tea items (cucumber sandwiches and white chocolate strawberry scones are favorites) and ANY of the desserts. There are so many teas to choose from, I still haven't covered them all, but some of our 'usuals' are Chai, Strawberries & Cream and Peach. Thanks, Lynn & Jade (and kitchen staff, too) for always making our visits special and most importantly, yummy! |

Tearoom Response
Dear D'Lyn, It is always a pleasure to visit with you and your sweet daughters. We deeply appreciate guests such as you and your family making The Tea Cup a regular spot. By the way... the boa looked stunning on you as well as your daughters! The Tea Cup is more fun with you in it! Thanks again, Lynn & Staff
Variety: I have enjoyed the Tea Cup Tea Room many times, but found it especially uplifting during this rainy week. I enjoy the light, bright decor as much as the delicious food. My favorite menu item is the Secret Garden, as it includes soup, sandwich, salad and dessert -- all of which are superb. This week I dined there with my daughter who does not like soup, but was surprised to find that she loved the Tea Cup Tea Room's Chicken Artichoke Brie Soup. Thank you so much for a relaxing break and a marvelous lunch. We will return often. |
- Lori 07/03/09 |
Tearoom Response
Dear Lori, It was our pleasure to serve you at The Tea Cup this week. Please tell your daughter thank you for the soup compliment; I recall her being a charming young lady. We look forward to your return visit. Thank you again, Lynn and Staff
Variety: We had the most delightful lunch--the garden lunch. This included an absolutely scrumptious chicken, artichoke and brie soup, a chicken salad sandwich on croissant, a garden salad and lemon blossom desert. Everything was delicious and the waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The tearoom itself is charming with three rooms for dining and a lovely little gift shop. An absolute 'must go', and return often. |

Variety: I had my daughter's birthday party here. The staff were sooo very nice. With all the 7 year old girls asking for lemonade and tea one after another, the staff did not even show any hesitation...they treated them like princesses! My daughter had a blast! Ms. Lynn also did some games for the girls that they really loved! My daughter wants to go back every weekend :-) The food was excellent! The service was excellent! The ambiance was wonderful. Great memories for the girls...best of all, I did not had to do anything. We loved it soo much, that the mothers are planning on going back there :-) Thank you Ms. Lynn and team!! |

Variety: What a peaceful, garden setting with seating both indoors and out! With a choice of fine teas served perfectly in an array of beautiful china, crisp linens, charming yet not overstated 'Victorian' decor including gorgeous wall paintings, the intimate tables with views outside all combine to make this just the most delightful place to enjoy time for tea! The gift shop alone is worth visiting. The displays are arranged to invite you into a parlor so you feel like you're visiting someone's home. Just love the lighting in the antique china cabinets which enhances the tea settings so much. The service was warm and friendly but not intrusive. Enjoy the special 'petit' desserts! What a wonderful experience! |

Variety: My brownie troop celebrated their hard work on cookies sales with an end of the year party at the Tea Cup Tea Room with the Lil Suga Tea. They had a wonderful time looking at the beautifully decorated room, they enjoyed sipping on tea and pink lemonade. The ate sandwiches that were in heart shapes. They had so much fun! It was a great afternoon and a wondeful way to end our 1st year as Brownies. |

Variety: What a wonderful experience I shared with my two friends. It was a cute little red house when you go up the drive. The room we sat in was delicately decorated with a soft floral wall paper and a beautiful wedding gown draped over a credenser and a an old victorian urn sitting in a corner. It was so cozy and relaxing. The tea selection was very good and explained by the server. Each tea was made in individual packets and brought out in pretty teapots which were kept hot on a tea warmer flair. I enjoyed my crab, corn chowder. It was spiced enough and served in a pretty cup. The turkey, bacon avocado sandwich with fresh fruit was outstanding. The fresh peach cobbler topped off the experience. Will definitely go back again. |

Variety: I visited The Tea Cup for the first time today with my mother, mother-in-law, grandmother-in-law and sister-in-law when I treated them to a belated Mother's Day high tea. The food was plentiful and delicious (my favorite was the chicken salad sandwiches and tropical scones) and the atmosphere was very relaxing, cozy, and lady-like. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and I can't wait to return. Very friendly as well! It was even better than I expected- and have been looking forward to trying it since it opened, but I live out of town. I LOVED the Paris tea (not a tea expert so it was new to me) and I even bought a tin of sachets to bring home. |

Variety: Great 1st impression! I went in to scout out a bridal shower location and I found a great tea room :) The owner guided me through her delicious white wedding tea which the manager is right to call a 'pound cake like' tea and tasty homemade white chocolate chip apricot scones w/cream and raspberry perserves....yum. Of course I went back yesterday to review other tasty morsels and these too delivered tastefully. Thank you Tea Cup Staff |

Variety: Other than waiting to place order and receiving of food that seemed to be a bit longer than I had expected, everything was top notch and delectable. However, I would like to suggest removal of cell phones as our lunch was not as relaxing due to another table conducting business during lunch and quite distracting and rude. Awesome and memorable experience! |

Variety: We visited the Tea Cup Tea Room for the first time today, after reading the article in the Brandon Times. The food, tea, service, and ambience were all exactly to our liking. It was great to experience true friendliness rather than snobbery - which is the case with a number of similar establishments. Lynn and Cameron (who was our waiter) were absolutely delightful. We ended up browsing in the gift shop and buying some unique items -- as well as making reservations for Valentine's Day! Much thanks for everything - We will certainly be regular customers. |

Variety: My husband and our two children enjoyed a wonderful experience at the Tea Cup Room's Christmas Candlelight Dinner last night. My seven year old son and five year old daughter were treated so special and they were given an elegant menu designed just for them. They wanted hot chocolate instead of the tea and it was presented so beautifully and the children loved it. The five course dinner was absolutely delicious and the courses were served at just the right time. We were not rushed nor were we waiting or wanting for anything. The children loved the carolers and the fireplace gave us a true feeling of Christmas in sunny Florida. We are planning on making this part of our holiday tradition for years to come. |
