This is a wonderful spot on Pelham's main drag. The traditional afternoon tea of sandwiches, scones and little pastries also includes salad and fruit! Delicious! They also offer a variety of sandwiches, soups and a Children's Tea. Staff is friendly, though service can be slow. Events here vary from children's doll tea to knitting nights.

While Lola's doesn't have 150 teas as the Silver Tips Tea Room does, the variety nevertheless is quite good. I've been here four times and the tea and the experience were good each time. On my latest visit I also ordered a tea sandwich--curried chicken--excellent!! The prices overall are quite reasonable. The pots of tea themselves are large--the '2 cup' pot would generally be more than sufficient for two people.

The decor is modern and very attractive. The ambiance is soothing and miles ahead of and away from the typical Starbucks. This is a very good place to hold an event, probably unique on the sound shore for that purpose.

The loose tea sold by the ounce is an excellent value. I believe the most expensive tea is only $3.00/oz., and it is very good.

Cheers, Leslie, for creating a valuable 'third place' for us Westchesterites!

Also, Manhattanites, please know that Lola's is only a short walk from the Pelham train station on the New Haven line.

The prices are higher than Manhattan tea houses. The food was fine, but the service was almost non-existent. They were too busy on their laptops to realize we were there. I'd like to give them a second chance, but I don't think I have enough patience.

Lola's is a treasure! I'm so happy to have found this wonderful spot so nearby. I love the afternoon tea, with little sandwiches, salad, a fresh-baked scone and pastries. (There are other tempting items, but I've never tried them.) The tea meal is delicious, and you'll find yourself ordering an extra scone just to use up the Devonshire cream and jam.

The service is warm and friendly, and there are choices available to please small children. If you're in the Pelham area, this is the best food around.

What an interesting idea to have theme teas! Even though I'm thrilled to have a regular English afternoon tea, the choice of a French, Chinese or Moroccan tea adds fun choices. Lovely scones (get coconut if it's available) delicious sandwiches, jewel-like fruit and tiny desserts make up the English tea. My daughter had a chocolate chai that was really unique; she bought a bag to bring home. And we have a lot of tea at home.

This was a wonderful little tea house. Unlike other tea houses I've been too, it did not have an 'antique' feel, though. It was actually quite modern. I can't stress how wonderful the food here was. We had a few different types of sandwiches including cucumber sandwiches which were fabulous, as well as an amazing broccoli and cheese quiche. The scones were so delicious that we had to order extra! I ordered a vanilla chai tea which tasted like a cinnamon and vanilla mixture (very good!) Additionally, this tea house is located in a really nice area surrounded by antique shops, day spas, and really nice restaurants. I recommend this tea shop very highly.
