Variety: Owner graciously worked 3 of us in on Mother's Day weekend, on VERY short notice. Food was exceptional, (Turkey croissant with pepper jelly was unique and we ordered more) service great & we loved the atmosphere. Good selection of decaf teas. My daughter enjoyed all the special attention. As the place was closing down & we were about to finish, we enjoyed some conversation with owner & staff regarding future plans- such as bridal showers etc. A very nice afternoon. We are already planning a children's tea party here for our daughter's birthday in July. |

Variety:
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Tea Room. Lovely displays of tea pots and linens, fresh flowers and fine china on the tables, and lace at the windows created an atmosphere of beauty and serenity. |

Variety: The only way this establishment is going to survive is if the owner would just stay in the kitchen. Her hectic personality clashes with the atmosphere of this lovely place. She should hire a soft spoken waitress like she had before, and just stay in the kitchen. |

Variety: We came without having a reservation but they were willing and able to accomodate us. The food was very fresh and excellent taste. The teapots were replentished quickly. Really enjoyed the Labrynith Tea. Thanks so much. |

Variety: My friend and I are from Fairfield and Colerain Township respectively. Though it's a bit of a drive for us, it's a special place and worth the time. This is second visit to the tea room and have plans to do so again. It is a genteel setting with beautiful crystal, china and linens. The teas are delicious, the food outstanding and the service impeccable. We can't wait to get back and enjoy more of Cheryl's hospitality. BRAVO! Keep up the good work. |

Variety: I went to this tea shop with my family for our annual tea party for Christmas. I have an elderly grandmother and we arrived 15 minutes early and I asked if my grandmother could come in and sit down as she has trouble walking. At first the owner.. said NO and that she had to stick to a schedule. Bizarre.. The food was ok.. The owner seemed stressed and should consider managing the kitchen area instead of greeting customers.. I hate to write a bad review but I work in the hospitality industry and found this behavior vary odd... I won't be going back to this tea shop. |

Tearoom Response
Dear Jen, I remember your group very well and I am so sorry that my initial response came across in such a negative way....I appreciate your posting the review; I have taken your concerns to heart; I am especially sorry that I let my stress get in the way of your enjoyment...I will continue to work on this. I can only hope that you come back and give us another try. Cheryl

Variety: While sitting there waiting for our order to come out, a lady in an apron makes her way into our room and does her own thing behind the counter. She then goes to the table right next to us to clear the dirty plates, but never acknowledged us. I was quite surprised because she was actually the OWNER of the restaurant. I mean, I would understand if the place was busy as heck, but we were the ONLY guest in that room and she was right next to us. No nod, no 'how are you doing', nada! Really? Considering how slow the place is, you'd think she be grateful for any business. Quite unappreciative if you ask me. The owner totally turned us off to this place. Seriously, if you want patrons to patronize your business, show some love! There are so many other places that I can get scones and tea from. |

Tearoom Response
The Tea Room prides itself on providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all of its customers....and to realize that somehow I did not convey this to you on your visit makes me feel terrible....I can only say that I am sorry and that I hope you will give us a second chance. Cheryl

Variety: My sentiments are similar to the recent review. The owner's condescending attitude made the visit a horrible one. Very disrespectful environment. Do not visit here if you want to save your dignity. |

Tearoom Response
Sophie and Beth, As frequent customers of the Tea Room I know that you and your family shared some good times in my tea room. I am very sorry that your most recent visit was not a happy one. Sometimes, no matter how hard we try.............things just don't work the way we wanted...........Hopefully, you and your family will come back to enjoy another time at The Tea Room. Cheryl |

Variety: Very rude owner, will not visit again. Be prepared to be treated like a pheasant , even when your group is spending a nice sum of money at the establishment. Look elsewhere. |

Variety: Delicious food and tasty tea! My friends and I felt like we stepped back into the Victorian ages. The owner Cheryl was very personable and sweet, and is very very passionate about the quality of the food and making sure the customer is happy and satisfied. Have been there five times since opening and will continue coming back for the delicious food, wife variety of tea, and exceptional hospitality. Best in the city by far! |

Variety: My mother in-law, neice and I decided to try the tea house on a whim on a Saturday around 1130am. We did not have a reservation but was comforted by a chalk sign that indicated that 'Walk-in's Welcome'. While everyone was pleasant, and cordial - the initial woman who greeted us, wasn't sure if she could serve us since we didn't have a reservation. I am not certain which teas were available because we were only offered the pumkin spice tea. Then when the owner (i think the owner) came out, it was still not clear that she could serve us, and she while somewhat frazzled agreed to serve us but, wasn't sure what we would be able to order. My neice was with us - and was told she could not order the princess tea, which we had not asked for because it said on the menu that it was for reservation o... (more) |

Variety: My husband and I were looking for a place for lunch that wasn't deep fried or chain. The food was delightful as was the atmosphere--very relaxing. The portions were appropriate for a tea lunch. We will be back. I have already recommended it to some friends. |

Variety: The Tea Room is a must have for anyone who enjoys High Tea. The owner and staff are wonderful and attendtive without being smothering. The food and tea are amazing I have not had anything there that I did not love. This is one of only two High Tea's I have I have felt 'full' when leaving. The decor is lovely and there are many things to look at and buy. This is a place my sister and I enjoy 'getting away' to. |

Variety: My wife and I drove to the Tea Room in Milford for lunch despite reading a number of reviews complaining about various things. Fortunately, we encountered none of the problems mentioned. All menu items were available. This may be because we reserved ahead of time and arrived around opening time or may be because the owner is serious about reading reviews in this forum - she noted there were 27. We found the owner not to be rude and to treat her staff well. She does have a strong personality which may be mistaken by some for rude behavior. On the other hand, she is game for any type of conversation, including verbal sparring which, in our case, made the visit interesting. The tea room is small and well arranged with many different types of seating and many different kinds of china and silverware. The noise level is low. The environment is very pleasant. A bonus is close proximity to quite a few interesting and well managed shops in downtown Milford. |

Variety: I recently hosted a wedding shower for my future daughter-in-law at The Tea Room. The owner and staff at The Tea Room handle almost everything. I had to do very little. The service, food, and facility were top notch. They went out of their way to decorate, bring in fresh flowers, and professionally print a card for each guess commerating the event. The food was fresh and delicious. Everyone had a great time. Besides bringing party favors for the guests and prizes for the games, I did nothing. It was well worth the money. I was worried about space but it easily handle the 20+ people that attended the shower. I highly recommend this facility for a wedding shower or special event. |
