We visited the Tea Shoppe this past Saturday. The bakery area, shop and tea room are all lovely - very charming and comfortable. The tea itself left quite a bit to be desired. The service was extremely slow and the waitress not at all knowledgeable about the menu. We waited at least 10 minutes before she even came to take our order. Although the shop was busy, it was not so busy to justify the wait. Once our tea came it was not well brewed - the tea was weak and not as hot as we would have liked. Also, there is no loose tea available. As mentioned by another reviewer, the teapot and cup are very heavy and don't fit with an elegant tea room. Two of three of us who visited thought perhaps we had received the wrong tea as the flavor did not at all match the description in the menu. ... (more)I overheard a woman next to me ask for an extra tea bag and she was told she would be charged the full price of a pot of tea - so almost $9 for her tea if she wanted the extra bag. Although there is a nice selection of sandwiches they are not tea sandwiches. According to the waitress tea sandwiches are only available as part of the full tea. This was a dissapointment. We each ordered soup - which was delicious and 3 different quiches - one of which was very good - the others were soggy and not very good. After finishing our meals we waited at least another 10 minutes to have our plates cleared. At no point did our waitress offer to refresh our tea. We decided not to stay for something sweet since the wait had already been so painfully long. It's a shame, because the bakery items looked very good - we just couldn't stand to sit there any longer. All in all the tea room might be good if it was a very slow day and you were lucky enough to get good service. I would not at all recommend going if it is busy. We will not be going back.

The Tea House Tea Shop located in Mashpee Commons in Mashpee, MA is the perfect spot for an afternoon tea or light lunch. The tea selection is varied and plentiful and the fresh baked goods made by Jenny and her staff are simply divine and not to be missed. There is also a lovely selection of retail tea products and other tea gifts to browse through on your way out. Definitely a nice way to spend an afternoon on the Cape!

I recently visited the Tea Shoppe. It is a wonderful place to go, especially when you are finished shopping. The service was very nice and the food was satisfying.
The owner, Jenny is a wonderful person who has put her heart and soul into this establishment. It shows! I recommend you visit this tea room on the Cape.

Although the raspberry scones were out of this world, and the miniature tea desserts excellent, the sandwich selection left much to be desired. Also, advertised internet price was $5 or so less than the price once inside the establishment. Tea was excellent although served in a cheap ceramic pot... I missed the bone china. Although not Harrod's, the value and atmosphere was nice.
