Food: A friend & I have been to Teeter House each February for the past 3 years & always enjoyed it. This year, despite having made reservations for Afternoon Tea, we were told to 'sit anywhere' & all the tables were bare with only utensils rolled up in napkins. Presentation of the food was poor, the quality of the food, sandwiches, fruit & sweets was disppointing. Sandwiches wer old tasting tuna (couldn't get thru even 1 of those) roast beef, cheese & turkey + cucumber. Scones were OK. Sweets were commerically made & straight from the freezer-not even defrosted by the time they got to the table. Condiments (butter, lemon curd) were served in little plastic tubs like you get in fast food restaurants. All in all it was awful (they didn't even have English Breakfast tea). It was not the Afternoon Tea experience that we were anticipating. We will not go back. |

Food: Cute historic building, very friendly staff. We were seated and served timely even though we arrived just before closing. Live music a definite plus, especially if you're waiting hours (and hours) for Bianco's Pizza. Great guitarist on Fridays. A very nice vibe all around. Good scones, great sandwiches. |

Food: I was so excited to go here, but was very disappointed. Tables were bare, only 3 or 4 teas to pick from, (it's a TEA house), scone was very dry and tasteless, tuna sandwich tasted old, dessert was frozen packaged treats, lunch took 2 1/2 hours for all the waiting. On the plus side, portion size of the tea sandwiches was more than enough and the chicken ones were good. I was disappointed. Their website seemed like they'd be a real teahouse. Instead it was a typical, urban restaurant only. I won't be back. |
