Our tea group loved that you could change teas during our high tea. We were able to try 6 different teas. The choices for savories and sweets was outstanding, especially the creamsicle. You have our viote for best in the Bay and Central Florida area. Thank you for being you

Donna, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a great review. We believe by allowing our customers to change to a different tea sets us apart, not to mention Aimee's creations. I'm a bit biased I guess, since she is my wife

Had my second visit to this tea room in Feb. First visit in former location was very nice. Good food and service. New location is lovely and the food is good, but other things not so great. First off, it was a cold day and the bathroom was freezing. I understand the landlord was in charge of the HVAC system, but why couldn't a space heater be placed in the bathroom to warm it up slightly. $25 at Wal-Mart. Simple fix. Secondly, my friend and I waited for more than 30 minutes for our pot of tea. The place didn't seem that terribly busy. Then another 30 minutes for our food. Considering the menu specifies time limits for each tea sitting we were concerned that we would have to eat in a hurry, but when we inquired as to the enforcement of those limits we were told we would be allowed extra time to enjoy our meal. Our waiter was very friendly and said another group quite demanding. made me wonder why one party would have to suffer, why not get another of the wait staff to take over.

Gail, Sorry for the delay on our response, as well as the visit you experienced. We had just opened in November in our new location and were still working out all the quirks of an old house. Depending on what you ordered would depend on the wait for the food. As any tea room, when you order any of our menu items that include tea sandwiches, there will be a delay since everything is made fresh to order and there is an attention to detail. We do manage our staff according to the amount of reservations that we have for that day, we can't always know how many walk ins we will have. We do foster an unhurried relaxing atmosphere and would never rush anyone out due to our delay. John

My daughter and I have been to your Tea Room 4 times, (2 of them with my granddaughter at the Downton Abbey Tea.) We love the new location and have always ordered the high tea. You have the best soups and scones! The setting is very relaxing and quaint and the servers are attentive and knowledgeable about the teas on offer. My sister from Manitoba is visiting in March and insisting on a trip to your Tea Room. Looking forward to it.

Visited at the new location (old Rogers Christmas House). Happy to see these buildings being used again. The location is nice the decor nice , not over done. The service was courteous , polite and servers knowledgable and were dressed cutely. We had the High tea, which included-soup, quiche, sandwiches, a scone and some petit four style desserts. The broccoli soup topped with pie crust was served in a tea cup and was very tasty. The crustless spinach quiche was also very good (not a typical portion, on the small side) as was the golden crusted blueberry scone And although the scone was served with Devonshire cream , there wasn't any jam/jelly/marmalade served with it, but you can purchase lemon curd at an additional cost Our finger sandwiches were cream cheese and cucumber, pi... Tlee, Thank you for taking the time to leave such a gracious review. My wife and I were definitely born in the wrong era. We have a passion to not only bring life back to old houses, but to put a unique spin on them and to fellowship with our customers. My wife also is the one who has decorated and has made all of the floral arrangements thru out. Most of the recipes are hers as well and she uses a lot of great ingredients. My hat is definitely off to her! She puts so much detail into everything that is placed onto our plates, tiers and into our teacups. We are very Blessed to have such an awesome staff as well. What I'm trying to say is, a lot goes into the preparation and it's more than that.....the experience from the first step you take onto our porch. If there was a way to make it more affordable without sacrificing the quality of our food, Aimee and I would definitely pass that savings onto our customers. We thank you again for taking the time and we appreciate your business. John and Aimee

My three best friends and I just had one of our best tea experiences at the Tilted Teacup!! Even though we were late and spent longer than we should have catching up over wonderful pots of tea (we purchased the Sleepy Hollow on the way out) our hosts were gracious, and the food was great, and the ambiance was superb!!!! We look forward to returning again!!

My daughter and I recently visited The Tilted Teacup. I have to say that I think this is our new favorite tea room. The building itself is adorable and from the minute you open the door, the atmosphere is very cozy. Both of the owners were so nice and the girl who waited on us was very attentive and sweet. We had high tea and it was delicious. I loved my soup and the crustless quiche was outstanding. The desserts were a little too sweet (if that is possible) and I wish they had sugar cubes, but these are minor things. We also liked that there was a gift area to buy tea related things. We both ended up buying bracelets with cute little teapots on them and I also got a set of 'tea' spoons. We will be back for tea again!!!

Three of us drove from St Petersburg to this fabulous tea room for our first experience on 2/7/14 and totally loved every minute of our time. The food was delicious, the scones were served warm and service from Jan was fun and friendly. We loved the town and everyone we met in Brooksville and can't wait till our next trip!

I took a bus of 50 ladies to this Tea Room for a pot of Tea and sweets and the Swedish Apple Cake was hot out of the oven and they all said was mouth watering good! I had the pumpkin cheese cake and it was the best! Raves about the carrot cake too. When you get not one complaint from 50 ladies you know the food is excellant. Thanks for the good time. I been getting feed back there will be a lot of returns to eat again at your place!

What a grand experience !!! Every single moment you are in the tearoom and on the grounds of this beautiful refurbished home you feel the magic! The way you are treated makes you want to continue visiting every chance you get. They welcome you as if you are old friends and make you feel warm and fuzzy all over !
Now let's talk about the food. Which is AMAZING !! Every menu item is so fantastic (and I tried most of them ) you just can't help eating more and more. I know Amiee is a fabulous chef however, I know her secret ingredient is true love for her guests . You can taste it in every bite . Her scones are some of the best I've ever had , not to mention that quiche ! The tea selection is massive, I drink pot after pot at each sitting ! Goodness I want to visit again right now ! I'v... Very Pricey for the small portions you get. Menu is limited on selections. Tea Room is very small, but pretty. Not sure I would return, this Tea Room just doesn't compare to the other tea rooms in Mt Dora and Weeki Wachee.

My sister and I and my granddaughter were here in early June. I never thought to write a review until I came upon this page. We had a wonderful time and one of the very best high teas we've ever had (and we try all the tearooms across Florida). To borrow a line from Mary Poppins: The Tilted Tea Cup is 'practically perfect in every way!' In fact, if you believe in 'perfect' it truly is! The food is excellent and very professionally prepared and served (highest compliments to Aimee!). There are so many delicious and inviting teas that it is hard to choose one (not to worry, though, the teas are available for sale in the gift shop). The tea room is in a Victorian home that is decorated beautifully and filled with southern charm (including a big front porch with a swing and small tables.)... (more)

What a lovely afternoon I spent with my daughter on Saturday celebrating the Titanic Tea event. The teas chosen were wonderful and the tea trays were lovely as well as very tasty. We enjoyed the room we were in along with a group of lovely ladies that came from The Villages and dressed for the occasion! We wound up exchanging phone numbers and e-mails! Aimee and John you did a wonderful job. The servers were all very attentive and we lucked out -- we got Aimee's Mom as our server and she was such a delight! (I think you should hire her full time!!) We always enjoy visiting your lovely tea room. It is so calming, a true break in the day. Your staff is always very gracious and I have seen them all improve each time I've visited. We look forward to our next visit.
