Food: The Victorian Parlor is the best tea room ever!! It is our favorite! Paula and Darryl are wonderful hostess and host and we always love getting a chance to chat a bit with them. The tearoom itself is a special place with all the lovely victorian decorations and is very relaxing. The flowers and gardens are always so beautiful too! The food is awesome and so filling! I have never been disappointed in all the times we have come to The Victorian Parlor.It is hard to say what I liked best today...it was all delicious! The meatball finger sandwich and the eggsalad on sourdough bread were both yummy! I always love the fruit salad too! Today I brought 2 new friends to the tea room and they both loved it. Food: After visiting many tearooms, The Victorian Parlor definitely rates #1. Owners Paula and Darryl always go out of the way to make everyone's experience special. Beautifully decorated in the victorian theme it's name designates, elaborate table settings with beatiful tea cozies, a small novelty shop for tea lovers, and beautiful outdoor grounds give any guest an afternoon to remember. The teas served are by the guests choice. The courses are fixed, but I can honestly say I have not put anything in my mouth that I haven't absolutely loved. It's an experience I recommend to everyone. I have returned to The Victorian Parlor on many occasions and have nothing but their praises to sing. Kudos on a job that you both obviously love doing!! I'll be back soon!!!! |

Food: One of the best Tea rooms I have been to. The food was superb and plentiful. The Victorian Parlor was decorated very cutely, next time I would like to have tea outback on the patio it looked beautiful and relaxing. The only thing I would say is for the owner not to down other Tea rooms for any reason to a customer, not very professional. Although, it is respected that you are State Licensed. Food: Our group of seven thoroughly enjoyed tea today at the Victorian Parlor. I bake a lot and tend to critique -to a fault sometimes- what others make. I loved all of Paula's offerings today. The cranberry citron scones were just the way I like them - moist AND tender. I am so happy to find the well made apron I purchased and look forward to the opening of the new gift shop. Food: I travelled five hours to get to this tearoom and I am so glad that I did! This is an experience you should not miss. Everything from the food to the service is superb. Everything is done in love and you are made to feel like family. Paula puts her heart and soul into preparing the food, which is just delicious! Everything is made from scratch. Food: We returned for another visit to this beautiful tea room and once again had a delightful experience. Daryl and Paula are such gracious hosts and the ambiance is beyond compare. We had a choice of strawberry tea and/or vanilla tea. Both were just delicious. The food was fantastic and my personal favorite were the scones! My nieces were along for this visit and the 6 and 8 year olds couldn't get enough of the scones w/that delicious 'white stuff' (aka Devonshire Cream!) My sister-in-law thoroughly enjoyed her tea room experience and started oohing and awing when we pulled into the parking lot and she saw the beautiful gardens. Just a wonderful afternoon with great food, incredible atmosphere and gracious hosts. Keep up the good work Paula and Daryl and we will be back....you can count on it! |

Food: The teas offered were peach apricot & French vanilla. Both were excellent, but the flavor of the vanilla enhanced the flavors of the food, especially the scones. The scones & pastries were still warm and absolutely melted in your mouth. All of the food served was excellent. The atmosphere was pleasant. It was very calm and conducive to sitting and chatting. There was another very large group at the teahouse on the day that I was there, but my group was unaware of their presence until we were leaving. The host & hostesses were friendly, outgoing, and excellent at customer service. It was a wonderful experience in every aspect. |

I am the 'Queen Mom' for the 'Chesapeake Chicks' and I recommended this tea room to the little 'Chickies' after reading various reviews and word of mouth. We drove over 60 miles on back roads in a driving rain, but it was well worth the effort. I will surely come again and sit in the lovely garden on a sunny day. Not only the outside was pleasant to look at, but the interior was also inviting. I felt like we were stepping back in the Victorian Era. The setting was just lovely, both inside and out (we sat in the garden near the waterfall). The food was ample and delicious, with a wonderful soup that many tearooms don't offer. The hosts and staff were warm and welcoming, even when we came late (we called)--they were gracious and most accommodating. I look forward to returning, knowing my sisters will love the experience. Food: On our most recent 'girl's day' out, we visited the Front Porch. Having been there years ago, I had forgotten how wonderful it was. Having sampled various entrees that were new to us, made our experience 'fantastic'. The outside garden area was beautiful. My last visit was in the winter. Starting with the beautiful garden area, to wonderful service and excellent food, our afternoon was very much worth the long drive. Everyone should have a 'girls day' out and visit the Front Porch!!! |

Food: My mother-in-law set up a tea party here for my bridal shower. Ive never been to a tea room or anything like one before, so I was a little concerned. But it definetly was a blast. My friends and family loved it. It was so beautiful. I also liked having to pick a hat before you sit. I dont know if thats routine at every tea room, but it adds a nice touch. My friends and I went quite a distance to enjoy this lovely place; it was recommended by a member of the Harford County Tea Club as 'the Best Tea Room in the area. I give teas for our church ladies and love trying to make everything exactly like a classic English tea. I mentioned to the proprietor that she did everything EXACTLY as I have always said I would if I had my own tea room - with extreme attention to detail, making the experience a true 'step back in time.' The food, the atmosphere, the personal attention given by those serving - obviously the owners enjoy people and enjoy what they are doing. WONDERFUL!!! |

Food: I went to the Victorian Parlor with the Classy Ladies in Red on 5-2-09 from Lutherville-Timonium, Md. Paula and Daryl served all 16 of us in the front dining and the 6 course meal was really wonderful. The Scone's and the sticky bun's were delicious and also the soup and the cake. Daryl told us the history of the house and we all enjoyed hearing that. Also we all enjoyed the gift shop. I am looking forward to taking some of my friend's there in the near future. Food: I recently celebrated a milestone birthday and would not have selected any other place to relax with a few friends and family members than the Victorian Tea Parlor. Having been there before, I knew the service would be great and I would get the royal treatment. Paula and Darrell went out of their way to make the event extra special for us all. Our little group was having such a good time we were still there after all the other parties had left. The owners did not rush us or make us feel like we were holding them up. Actually they showed us all around and give us a little history lesson on the house itself. Paula even had a beautiful birthday cake for me, made like a hat with flowers and a bow! And that was in addition to the dessert on the menu that day. The food is always good and all the different table decorations and place settings are so interesting. Paula and Darrell really have the gift of hospitatlity. Go and enjoy it yourself! |

I have always had a memorable time. From the delicious food, varietal teas (both hot and iced), historic ambiance, attentive service and the hospitality of the owners and hosts, Paula and Darrell, each experience was unique and enjoyable. I absolutely loved it and have been back many times with friends and family members. Paula and Darrell are wonderful people and make you feel at home from the time you come in until you leave.
