When my Mom and two sisters came to visit last July (2007) my daughter and I wanted to treat them to a tea experience. (When we visit them in Michigan we always go for tea. Mom is English.) I found This Whole House on line and knew that this was the place to visit.
Well to our surprise, this was more than we had hoped for. The tea and food were excellent! And don't get me going on the desserts!! Each of us (Grandson included) had a different dessert. (They were all so good.) We had a great time! Your staff was so gracious, even though we were late for our reservation. I highly recommend This Whole House.

My husband and I were visiting Charleston for a bit of a reprieve from Wisconsin weather. We found out about your tearoom from guests at the Inn we were staying at, that had just visited you the day before. We are so glad we made the trip to Summerville. I love tea, and told my husband he was in for a treat! Little did I know how much of a treat I was in for also! Your tearoom is such a delight! What a wonderful way to end our mini vacation back to the cold reality of winter! Your food was so yummy. My husband still talks about the variety of fruit you offered. I cannot say enough good things about the food and ambiance of your tearoom. It is a special place that we will always have a nice little memory of while reminiscing about our little getaway to South CArolina. THank you so much for your hospitality and friendliness to us. I happened upon This Whole House by surprise. Some of my best friends arranged for a surprise brunch to celebrate me quitting a job that I hated. I thought my husband and I were going to brunch at a place someone at work had told him about only to find 5 of my best friends waiting there for me. We had a wonderful brunch with pots of flowering tea and delicious cranberry mimosas. The atmosphere is quaint, cozy, and completley delightful. We spent over 2 and a half hours sitting, eating, drinking, and chatting and we couldn't have felt more welcome. The staff were so friendly and accomodating. Definitely a place to go to escape from the craziness of daily life and enjoy a cup of tea!

We visited your tearoom quite by chance when on holiday late October 2007.Were touring The Tea Plantation near Charlston and asked for the name of a tearoom.After a 30minute drive we found you!!!!.I can honestly say both my husband and I agree this was the best tearoom we have discovered since returning to the USA some years ago after having lived overseas.The food was outstanding,and beautifully presented.The decor had a great deal of charm,had a very calm atmosphere even though you were busy getting ready for a halloween party!!!The staff were very good at helping us selectfrom the menu.Will visit again when in this area. Dear this Whole house (the friendliest) staff and future patrons to be... YUMM! We know how to appreciate all the best and your tearoom hits the highest marks in every catagory. We are not friends or relatives of the owner just family people that love REALLY GREAT FOOD! We especially enjoy the Sunday buffet and the mouthwatering fruit. Thank you for providing a place the whole family cannot get enough of... the five year old (Your tearoom has replaced McDonalds as the most requested!), the mom, and even the man of our family. He says 'a tea room that even has food a MAN really loves'...The tea?...There are not any better in our minds. Please keep servin' it up! The Earl Grey Cream Tyners

I am a maid of honor who is fresh from throwing a bridal shower at This Whole House. I arrived a half hour before the shower and was able to greet guests without any worry about the setting up. The tea room itself is so beautiful. The owner and staff gave such personal and caring service to our guests. And, it goes without saying that the food was beautifully presented and delicious, too. The guests enjoyed an array of food and beverages including hot and cold teas, coffee,bacon and tomato quiche, fresh fruit and a lovely lemon dessert elegantly served in martini glasses. The owner, Judy, personally went out of her way to see that the day was perfect, and it absolutely was.

I have lived in Summerville for three years and I finally visited This Whole House. It was fantastic! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was charming, the staff was helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The fruit salad was like nothing I had ever had before. We finally decided to count the number of different fruits – 22. And this was the side dish to a wonderful ravioli dish. I can't give enough praise to this delightful tearoom.
