Variety:
I have seen the operation of this tea shop since it opened...the owner is the cleanest person i have ever met..i can tell you she washes her hands every time she makes a cup of tea for anyone as her enployess also do...to the person that sent a nasty review watch out we know who you are and payback is a bitch...get a life and leave good business people alone and worry about your own business... |

Variety: I was at may fest today in Smithville and finely got a chance to see this place. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. I had iced tea, it was peach green tea. It was wonderful, I ended up buying some of it along with three others. I'm so excited to make it at home! Great place! |

Variety: I went to Smithville with my family on a visit, and they brought me to Through the Looking Glass. I found myself disappointed with the lack of service introduced. The woman was outside smoking, then came in, and served my tea without washing her hands. Not to mention, the quality of the tea I got was not up to par. I would not recommend this place to anyone. |

Tearoom Response
It's really sad that since I'm located in a village with jealous shop owners that one would post this outright lie. I've been waiting for it. You can see by all the other reviews here and other places that this absolutely not true. We ALWAYS wash our hands it's second nature to all of us. If this shop owner had been in our shoppe she would know this. Also she would have not have deleted the good review she had given our shoppe when I first opened just before this one was written. So sorry that anyone has to see this childish behavior

A great tearoom and book shop in a wonderful setting! Their 'Alice In Wonderland' theme is a nice compliment to Historic Smithville. |
