Be sure you have a get-out-of-jail-FREE card before you go. So I purchased a croissant, and it was tough, stale, hard, and I asked, 'How old is this?' and they replied, 'How rude, if you don't leave we're calling the police...!' So they refunded me $3.75 for a stale croissant and I left, 86'd from a coffeehouse of all places! Apparently they import pastries from Seattle (1hr away), 3x week, instead of buying them from the bakery fresh across the street, and keep them for a long time unwrapped in a glass case, they should place them in formaldehyde, The day old or two day old, or three day old pastries at Toads are full price, whereas the 3 day old ones at the bakery are in the dumpster. FYI, at the other places in North Bend they cost 59 cents fresh hot out of the oven or 50% off the next ... (more)day. Coffee was OK. Don't expect a warm welcome, the owners are a bit grumpy and impersonal, maybe now that I'm gone their sense of humor will come back? Its the best place in town for hard stale croissants or a ticket to the jailhouse.
