Food:  I stumbled upon this little country kitchen on my way through Georgia and thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately all the tea is bagged and they do not serve whole leaf teas so I cannot say this is a true teahouse, although the decor is tea themed in some areas of the main dining room. The owner and what appear to be her young adult children are cheerful and well-mannered, and succeed in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Considering that my entree had a slightly burnt taste and my sides tasted prepackaged, the deserts and old fashioned sodas may be the most appealing menu items. This establishment should be categorized as a soda shoppe rather than a tea room. If I find myself around these parts again, I would stop in for a treat, but not supper. |
