Imagine yourself strolling down the sidewalk of a grand tearoom in a turn-of-the century town. It's a beautiful spring day in 1897.
You are on your way to meet your best friend for the day at this beautifu1 1897 Queen Anne Victorian home tea room.
You are dressed in your finest white Battenberg lace dress, a parasol is resting on your shoulder, and an elegant feathered hat is making you the envy of every woman there.
The tearoom entrance is filled with fragrances of fresh baked bread and
quiches.
The warm afternoon sunlight falls on beautifully set tables and the beautiful vintage china and pictures
that dress the walls. The floral carpeting and hardwood floor gives off a cool touch completing the perfect setting.
As you are seated by the hostess, you gently smile, turn, and nod to admiring faces.
You've come to share a moment in time with someone very special and without plan or program you begin to open your heart. Soon both of you are talking, laughing, sighing and maybe even crying.
Before long, each of you begins to experience the renewal, refreshment and restoration of 'Tyme Well Spent'.

Variety: We had a wonderful lunch at Tyme Well Spent today. The food was delicious and tea very calming. It was wonderful spending time with my 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters (one from Texas and one from Grand Rapids) just eating and visiting. Nancy was so warm and accommodating. We all loved it and felt it was truly 'Tyme Well Spent' together! |

Variety: A friend took me here for my birthday. Had a wonderful time! Will make reservations and go again and again. Quite surprised to see a complaint about being turned away. An empty table does not mean the table is not reserved. Nancy would certainly have fit you in had she been able. Always better to call ahead when going to such a quaint well established tea room. Everything homemade and excellent! |

Variety: What a delightful lunch! This tea room is in a lovingly restored Victorian home, and you feel you have stepped back into time about 120 years! The tables and the rooms are beautifully decorated! The tea menu offered about 30-40 teas, and they brew them and then bring the pot to your table and sit it on a candle to keep it hot! We are tea novices, but Nancy and her staff are so helpful--it was a fun adventure. We were there for lunch, not for the High Tea, but the food was excellent. All the lunches are the same price--just short of $11 and include soup or salad and a tea bread. Everything was very fresh and obviously homemade. The food was presented beautifully with fresh fruit. This was a lovely experience and we will return! (I am surprised to see the review below which complained about not being seated without reservations. If the table was empty, I am sure it was reserved. Make reservations!) |

Variety: Nancy is always smiling and friendly, I don't understand, how when the site says reservations only, would one expect to be served without one, She takes the time to prepare fresh food daily for the reservations she has, to ensure the highest of quality. I go frequently, and will return. Her service and food, are top notch. |

Variety: well Me and my sister drove from Westland out there, and she had a nice crowd, but there was still seats, and she would not take us, because we had no reservation. We were not coming for the tea sandwich's, just what ever was on the menu, which We have done before, so very disappointed . I have taken a lot of people there. Well no more will I go. |

Variety: I enjoyed my bithday tea and tasty light lunch at this most welcoming and charming jewel of a Victorian Tea House (literally the entire house is yours to enjoy and explore)! Nancy's service, recipes, taste for decor, and amazing choice of teas are delightful and she is so cordial you feel like you've made a 'new friend!' Thank you for a special day and Anne and I will be back to see you again! |
