The Victorian Rose if definitely a treat for all of your senses! It will amaze your eyes, and satisfy your palate. The exterior is exquisite as is the interior. The attention to detail was impressive, from the beaded draperies to the window shade pulls made from silver spoons. The food was wonderful! We started our meal with wonderful scones followed by a lovely green salad, accompanied by plenty of hot and aromatic tea. The almond biscotti was amazing as was the creme brulee tea. We were then served warm savories and a cornucopia of tea sandwiches on a beautiful three tiered silver tray. We finished our afternoon tea with a decadent dessert made from a dark chocolate bowl filled with custard and topped with fresh raspberries, yummy! I must also comment on Elaine and her awesome s... This is the most lovely tea room you will visit. You feel like you have steped back to a more gentil time. The food is wonderful and presented on a silver tier tray. You get quite a selection and the scones are yummy! I have only been to this tearoom 5-6 times because it is 3 hours from home, however it is so worth the trip. Don't forget to visit the gift shop for the most unique items anywhere.

What a beautiful tearoom this is. Obviously no expense was spared when this tearoom was decorated. The tea list was very extensive and creative. The food is delicious and beautifully plated with orchids decorating each plate. The servers were pleasant and friendly and did not hurry us. This is the kind of tearoom where you want to linger a while. The scones are especially good and the lemon curd out of this world. The creme brulee was the creamiest and smoothest I've ever had. I wish I had the receipe for the house dressing on the salad that comes with the Cottage Tea. This was a treat I will repeat soon!

I was shocked when I read the comment below. I have been to Victoria Rose several times and I have always found the service to be excellent. Not only were the staff dressed beautiful and very victorian but they were sweet and smiled and made us feel very welcome. As for the food I thought it was delicious and I loved how there was an edible orchid on every plate that was served. The ambience is amazing. It is VERY victorian, but then again it is called Victoria Rose Cottage. It felt as if we had stepped back in time and it was a nice getaway from the every day life monotony. I found it to be very beautiful, peaceful and charming.

i came for a baby shower(which may have been the problem), but i was not very pleased with my experience. the place with stuffy and so 'over victorianized' to me. there were quite a few women waiting on it, but they were unattentive, gave most of us half a cup of tea and took forever, or didn't come back at all when we asked for something. it was not that busy, so i'm not sure what was up, but it was an iffy experience. i wouldn't come again unless invited for an even. even then i'd think twice. i'll stick to my smaller, less formal place in pasadena.
