Variety: Sometimes taking a man to tea is more like dragging a 200lb dead weight to tea- not fun. Well, Victorian Grace will change all of that. My man cannot wait to go back!! The cream of chicken and wild rice soup won his heart. Now his support of tea time is insured. Thanks Victorian Grace. Also we both adored the poppy seed dressing on that delicious salad. We had a lovely time. See you soon. |

Variety: A group of us visited the Victorian Grace Tea Room for my sister's 75th Birthday celebration. As I stepped inside I was quite taken back at the beautiful & elegant Victorian style decor. The little finches were chirping and the music was softly playing in the background. We were all seated at a large table so we could visit with each other. The tea we had was delicious and hot. The creamy chicken and wildrice soup was the best I have had. The three tiered tray that was presented was beautifully decorated with finger sandwiches, scones and desserts. The chicken salad was just perfect and the scones were truly the best. Everyone in my group was raving about the food and the service. The homemade desserts (petit fours and chocolate dipped strawberries were the icing on the cake. The staff was very attentative but not intrusive and our teapot was always refilled with hot tea (we had the Paris tea)Compliments to the staff for making this event sooooooo special for us. Can't wait to visit again |

Variety: My boyfriend took me for my first time to Victorian Grace on the recommendation of his Mom who is a frequent customer. What I experienced was well beyond anything I had anticipated. Upon entering, I felt as if I was in a different world! The atmosphere is very charming, antique yet comfortable. There were a plethora of tea options. However, my favorite items were the scones and Davenshire Cream! They were simply delectable. I would highly recommend a visit to Victorian Grace for any occasion! |

Variety: My friends & I celebrated our dear friend Sandra's retirement on Sat. morning at the tea house. What an excellent day. The food was excellent, the service top notch, and the decor was just beautiful. The attention to detail was outstanding. Lorain had remembered how much I adored her Chicken & Rice soup and she made it just for me. Now that is Awesome Customer Service !!!! This is by far my very favorite tea house. Thank you to Loraine & staff for making this such a great experience. |

Variety: I have had the privilege of visiting Tampa again and one of the highlights of my trip is the Victorian Tearoom. I went there quite a number of times and every time I go it exceeded my expectation. It's just as beautiful as ever. The ambiance quite serene and I feel so relaxed and peaceful. This is the place you want to be when you want to get away from the busyness of life. I really enjoyed the tea - I had black currant and it was brewed to perfection from whole leaf. I must have had about 6 cups of tea. It was quite refreshing. The food was very delicious - wild rice and chicken soup - very hearty and the chicken sandwich was very tasty. The mouth-watering scones just melts in your mouth. I also enjoyed browsing around the teashop - so much to see and buy. The staff at the the teashop were quite courteous and friendly. All is all I had grand time at the tearoom and I would recommend this tearoom to anyone living in the area or visiting. You would not regret it. |

Variety: A group of 10 ladies visited Victorian Grace Tearoom from Canada and we were in awe of the elegance of the place and the serenity we felt as we entered - it was breathtaking and we were treated like royalty and was pampered by the servers. There is not enough words to describe how wonderful it was. This has been the best tearoom I have been to so far. The scones were delicate and mouthwatering and the soup was heavenly, not to mention the other pastries, sandwiches and a variety of exquisite deserts. We enjoyed browsing through the various rooms and especially liked the 'GONE WITH THE WIND' room. I thought it added a special touch. I would like to congratulate the owners on a job well done. I will most definitely visit again. |

Variety: I visited the Victorian Grace Tearoom on Sept 1 for tea with some family members. I had visited it last year during my visit to Tampa and was determined to do so again this year. I was not disappointed as the food and service exceeded my expectations once more. With its new floor covering and wall decorations, the main room looked serenely beautiful, lending itself to quiet conversation. Our tea was served with the most beautiful fine china. The food which included soup, salad, sandwiches and the most delicious scones for dessert was elegantly presented by gracious hostesses. From the time you enter until the time you leave, you will be enchanted by the Victorian charm of this tea room. Definitely a few hours well spent! I high recommend it! |

Variety: The atmosphere of elegance, beauty, and soothing tranquility that immedately surrounds you as you step into the Victorian Grace Tea Room is enough to keep you coming back again and again. Complete relaxation and peace takes over as you are seated. A Warm welcome and pleasant conversation with the host and Tea Room personnel then begins the whole experience... followed by a short period of great expectancy of what is to come. At this point, you are hoping beyond hope that the food is not downright awful and the atmosphere and warm and friendly welcome is not just to make up for what will be sadly lacking in the food. Then the tea arrives. It is served in the finest of China, by the gentlest of hands... and best of all, it is unlimited. Next comes the soup. Totally unexpected at tea time (f... (more) |

Variety: We had afternoon tea at VG on 8/28/09. We were a party of 11 people varing from different age groups, youngest being 7yrs old , a few teenagers and 3 couples. This was my first time there, but some of the people in my group have been there many times and could not stop raving about it. I figured it was just a tea room, I am from New York and had tea once at the Pierre in Manhattan many years ago ,afternoon tea there was a very nice experience but really expensive and it was just a resturant environment. I was not prepared for the truly charming VG tea experience. I was very impressed with everything there ,from the decor, to the four rooms with the different theme, the gift shop, the food which was excellent. The tea of the day was blackberry, the 7 yr old claimed it was the best tea he ... (more) |

Variety: My friend and I visited Victorian Grace tea room for the first time on 8/29/09. We definitely enjoyed our time there. We sat in a room set/up for four, however, there were only two of us so we had the room to ourselves to get caught up on each others lives. The tea of the day was 'Paris', it was a delighful blend, I believe it is one of their more popular teas. I even bought a tin to take home as we are from New Port Richey, FL. Every tier held delicious treats, we were pleased we made the 1 hour trip! The soup was delicious too! Thanks VG, keep up the good work! |

Variety: An excellent location for a quiet afternoon with good friends. The soup was delicious-- I have only tasted an equivalent in a 5-star restaurant. The scones were buttery and fresh and the cream was light. The preserves (which I had to request) were wonderful as well, and available for purchase in the charming tea shop. The service was attentive and polite, but not overbearing. It was an experience of refinement and beauty. The only suggestion is that guests be offered a selection of teas, rather than served the tea of the day (though the tea of the day was delicious). Thank you for a pleasant experience. |

Variety: My mother-in-law and I went for the first time to Victorian Grace yesterday. We loved it! Every time we go to visit each other (her in Alabama and myself in Florida), we go to a different tea room. Needless to say, we were impressed by VG. The food and tea were outstanding, especially the creamy chicken and wild rice soup! We also loved the decor. It was decorated with mismatched place setting like you would see in a real English tea room. The staff was helpful, but allowed us the space to enjoy ourselves. Thank you so much to VG for a wonderful experience! |

Variety: I booked a party for my 7 year old 6 weeks in advance. I called a week before to settle the details because I hadn't been called and they told me that they don't do 7 year old parties anymore..that they had recently changed their policy. Policy change I understand..not calling me to let me know..I don't understand. If I hadn't called...our guests would have shown up there. The staff didn't even apologize..they just stood their ground that this is their 'new' policy. Luckily...there was another tea room that agreed to do the party and they did a FANTASTIC job!!! By the way..I found out they did the same thing to someone else at my daughter's school. Not a good way to do business!!!! |

Variety: From the moment we stepped inside, we were transported to a lovely, quiet, restful experience. We had the Afternoon Tea and were so delighted over the quality of the food and the attention to detail. The blueberry and chocolate scones were 'out of this world'. The finger sandwiches were so tasty and fresh we couldn't stop raving about them. Our service was exceptional, friendly and extremely polite. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon! We will be back. |

Variety: I'm a tearoom aficionada (can't live in England and not delight in proper tea rituals) and Victorian Grace was No. 1 for me. Your scones, made from scratch, no mixes used here, with the hint of cinnamon and bits of white chocolate, were the very best I've experienced thus far. Tea of the day had a blackberry (?) flavor and was worth drinking 3 pots. Big score here. Food exceptional,,,your pastry chef is an artist both in presentation, appearance and taste. Special note: Cloth hand towels for drying one's hands.....lovely, noteworthy touch. Loved using hand cream as well. The soup was a light cream of chicken w/rice. The little heart shaped crouton...you are way ahead of the game. Chicken salad in croissant very pleasing as was everything on the sandwich tier. Thought the little birds (finc... (more) |

Variety: This tea room is sooo disorganize. Whether they have 2 people or 20 people, they are sooo slow! And as soon as you walk-in, there is a 'smell'...(not a good smell). Not sure if it is the birds near the door, or they old carpet. There is only one person in the front and she can't handle the phone, the people and the the food. I will never go back to this place! |

Tearoom Response
Since we have had many compliments about our little finches that live in a beautiful Victorian style bird cage, we will continue to delight our customers (kids included) with their chirping. Our Victorian patterned carpet has received glowing remarks from our Loyal Tea Lovers since it was installed last year. Our staff is gracious & displays excellent customer service to all our customers. A tea experience should set one in the mood of relaxation and a light hearted attitude. So sorry you missed that experience but we will continue to maintain our high quality of food and service. Good luck finding a tea room that you can appreciate.

Variety: Hello! My name is Rachelle Castellana and today I attending the network luncheon held at Victorian Grace Tea Room once a month. It was a very warm and enjoyable environment! The staff handled everything without any curve balls! I even spilled the actual tea kettle on our table and they handled smoothly and quickly! Thank you, Ladies! Anyways, the tea was superb, delicious and hot! As far as the food, displayed with thought in mind and prepared with flavor! Delicious! For those looking to attend the networking at this location, I advise you to do so! It is well managed and the time each person is given to speak is controlled and not 'too long!' I plan on attending next month! Looking forward to a wonderful fashion show in July! |

We requested to dress up in boas and hats and wow did we look pretty!!! The staff and lunch items were fabulous! Our family will be talking about our tea experience for years to come. I will definintely come back with more of my family and friends! I loved the background music, too! |

Variety: Our ladies church group visited Victorian Grace on 6-04-09. We all absolutely loved it. They had little tiny finches in a beautiful bird cage and my baby was absolutely mesmerized by them (she is 5 months). The food was delicious, especially the cream of chicken and rice soup and the savoury tart. The desserts were also very good. My only complaint is that we were served passionfruit tea instead of a traditional tea, but when we asked an excellent pot of earl grey was brought out. Everyone was very friendly and we will definately be coming back! |

Variety: My mom and I have been to almost all the tearooms in the Tampa Bay area, and today, after going to this, must say that it is one of the best! Each room was decorated so beautifully and charming. The food was delicious--espically the spinach tart!! Oh my gosh--I loved, loved, loved it! (And I am not a fan of spinach--but I could seriously eat that everyday!) All the desserts were wonderful! My favorite was the orange cake--I just wished it was bigger, since it was SO good! I could have eaten a giant slice of that! :-) We had such a wonderful, relaxing experience. I'm so happy they left the teapot on the table, so we could truly enjoy ourselves, without constantly being interupped. Can't wait to go back! |

I will defintely be going back. |

Variety: I went to Victorian Grace Tea for a bridal shower and it far exceeded my expectations! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The tea was perfection all on its own. I could eat the chicken salad and spinach tart all day long. Not to mention the scones were amazing. Definitely have to try the scones. All the little pastries and cakes were delicious as well. |

Variety: I went to the Victorian Grace Tea for a bridal shower and it was one of the best event locations I've ever been to. The atmosphere and decor encouraged us to get dressed up and embody the Victorian era and tea culture. It just encouraged everyone to be very girlie and enjoy the moment. But ultimately, I would go back for the quality of the food - which was impeccable! I'd heard about it before I got there but it surpassed my expectations. The scones are particularly exquisite - not too heavy, not too light - just perfect. The chicken salad (which I normally don't like) was the best I've ever had. Unfortunately, I live in NY and can't go back often, but I'm totally envious to those who can sneak away and escape to this delectable tea room with a girl friend or by your self and savor delicious food in an equally appetizing environment. |

Variety: I went to Victorian Grace for a friend's bridal shower, and had a fabulous time. My mother and grandmother are English, so I am very familiar with tearooms, and I have to say that this was the most traditional teahouse I've been to in the US, with the highest quality of food/teas that I've ever had. I really felt like I was stepping into an old-fashioned tearoom in England. The tea was served perfectly - it was piping hot the entire time. Since I'm used to my grandmother always sending tea back because it's too 'cold', this was a pleasant surprise. I commented how I appreciated this touch to the hostess, and she told me that they have a special heater that gets their water to just the right temperature for the most infusion of the tea leaves. They even have a special tea blend made f... (more) |

Variety: My family threw a bridal shower for me at the Victorian Grace Tearoom. It was the most wonderful shower a girl could have! One could get lost in the decor. We decided to all wear Victorian hats for the tea party and the owners of the tearoom even let us borrow some of their authentic Victorian hats for the event. The chicken and wild rice soup was delicious and I really liked the spinach and artichoke mini quiches. But the scones were to die for. I'm used to scones usually being dry and hard but these were so moist. Their most gracious pastry chef came out to greet me and told me that she made these unique pink petit fours especially for my shower. This made me feel quite special. Variety: My daughter and I stopped by to 'preview' the place to know if we would like to try it..we didn't feel welcome by the staff and just inside the front door was a large bird cage that smelled really, really bad and once my daughter heard the bird fluttering in the cage she became disenchanted due to her fear of birds. The place is adorable and I am sorry ladies but animals in food establishments JUST DON'T MIX. since we didn't eat there the ratings really don't apply except for the quality and cheer that was lacking |

Variety: I attended a business women's networking luncheon. Lovely atmosphere, excellent service and delectable food - what more delightful way is there to spend a few hours? |

Variety: attended VGT today with a women's entrepenurial networking group. Our service was good, the food was delicious. The tarts and scones with devonshire cream are to dream about! great opportunity to meet other women. I have a jewelry business and I am excited that they will be hosting these Networking teas every other month. It is a wonderful tearoom and we are lucky to have it in this area. Thanks, Joy! |

Variety: Three of my friends treated me to high tea at Victorian Grace in Brandon yesterday for my birthday! What a delightful experience for all of us. The staff was most attentive and the food was delicious! In fact, I would say the scones here are the best scones of any tearoom in the area. The tea was perfectly brewed and excellent. What an amazing experience resulting in an unforgetable birthday! I will look forward to visiting this tearoom again and again. |

Variety: Three of us visited this tearoom in January & really enjoyed our visit. Two of us had afternoon tea and the food was wonderful - (just wish there was a bit more of it - grin). Each room was painted a different color and decorated with plenty of tea related items. You'll have a hard time leaving without purchasing something! Will visit again. |

Variety: Felt like I was transported by a time machine to another era. It's not often you get to be pampered in such luxury for such little money |

Variety: It sounds to me that Rebecca has a personal problem. I have visited this tea room countless times and everything Rebecca has said is so far from the truth that it reeks. The deserts are always delectable and the food is divine. I have frequented this place more times than i can count, and if you are completely displeased then try another tea room. I will keep this one my best kept secret and retreat. The staff here is always friendly and have always gone out of their way to make my visit a great one. I constantly bring my friends and can honestly say that I at least visit the room at lease once a week. If I don't I go through withrawal. Its really sad to see someone write something so vicious about a pleasant happy place. |

Variety: I visited Victorian Grace Tea Room on Wednesday 1/7/09 also, and I can't believe the horrid review that was written. I know for a fact that the desserts, scones, etc are made fresh on site. They even have a pastry chef!! As for a three tiered tray, well tea for one would look lost on that, therefore if you are having tea for 1 it's served on a lovely pedestal cake plate. The food is incredible. We couldn't finish all of the desserts so we took them home and had them for a late afternoon snack and they were marvelous, the cookies were so light they just melted in our mouths. Caroline does a wonderful job with the desserts! And Joy the manager is such a dear and very attentive. We were in the room with the woman who wrote the other review and I know for a fact that she was asked sev... (more) |

Variety: i visited this tea room 1/7/09! food was not homemade. desserts were an assortment of generic cookies. my daugher got chewy hot dogs and jelly on stale bread. nothing a young child would eat. tea rooms are supposed to present food on a 3 tier display.ours was not. staff not very friendly. will never go back there. |

Variety: I go to tea rooms regularly and have gone to all of them in the Tampa area (and some in St. Pete) and Victorian Grace Tea Room is the BEST! They have the absolute best scones I have ever had anywhere. I also try different tea rooms when I go on vacation and was lucky enough to attend high tea at the Empress Hotel in Victoria and the scones here even beat those at the Empress. Unlike some tea rooms, they will allow you to choose your own tea if you don't like what is being served. They also aren't too restrictive if you want to have high tea at a different time other than 11, 1 or 3. I also like that they serve a nice salad if you don’t want the High Tea. The staff is also very nice and along with the atmosphere makes it a great, relaxing experience. I am counting the days until my next visit! |
