Food: My husband and I visited this lovely tea room which overlooks a lake and right next to a golf course. We were sorry to hear that the owner, Connie, had just been diagnosed with cancer (hope you're doing well Connie!) and her chef served us our tea that day. We only had 2 choices of tea: peach or earl gray. We had a choice of 3 different levels of tea, and we chose the highest 5-course meal. It began with a plate of a scone and some fruit. Then, we had cream of celery soup made from scratch. Third course was a kind of stuffed tomato, followed by wonderful orange glazed turkey with rice. Dessert was a chocolate brownie/raspberry parfait. The service and food was very well presented, although it would have been nice to have more tea choices. The tea room itself was beautifully decorated in the traditional Victorian style, but unfortunately smelled like dog - but once you got used to it was very pleasant! We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone if in the area. |
