Variety: While not the typical 'high tea' type of tea room, this is a very charming place with an absolutely wonderful atmosphere. They have a nice selection of salads and sandwiches to choose from as well as a chicken pot pie which will be first on my list to try my next visit there. I just wish they had a website or more information available regarding their hours and reservation policies because when I want a nice trip to a tea parlor RIGHT NOW I can never remember if they're open or not. I will definitely return. |

Variety: I think Michelle was reviewing the wrong tea room. The Victorian Rose has more than 3 tables available and the place is charming. The food is wonderful and the ambience is terrific. The owner is very friendly and cordial, and her culinary talents are the best. We had a wonderful time and we all had delicious meals and the best service. I loved the authentic menus and the story of the place, and the pictures on the wall and the other lovely decor. I will be back many times and highly recommend this tea room. |

Variety: I wonder if Michelle visited the same Victorian Rose in Rochester that I have taken my daughters and friends to many times! The setting is charming, in a real Victorian home. There are simple fresh flowers on each table. The menu is a lovely book, with the story of the restaurant in front. The food is wonderful. My favorites are the homemade chicken pie, served with a delightful mixed salad with raspberry dressing, and the warm brie, accompanied by fresh fruits and breads. The tea is served in pretty china teapots. And the restroom is clean and charming, with Victorian furniture. A lovely place with gracious service. Highly recommended@ |
