Variety: I have been to other tearooms, but the Vintage Rose is my favorite. The knowledgeable staff is eager to share their love of exceptional teas. When the first cup is poured for me from my very own teapot, I relax completely. I was expecting a stuffy atmosphere, but instead found an intimate Victorian setting. Afternoon tea consists of mouth-watering scones, homemade lemon curd, cream, assorted tea sandwiches, miniature desserts and a four cup of loose leaf tea. The food is lovingly prepared and I always leave promising myself that I will be back soon. Great for special occasions. I brought my 89 year old mother there for her birthday and she felt like a queen. I often buy unusual gifts for my women friends while I'm there. Altogether, a feast for the senses. Treat yourself. |

Variety: This was my first time ever in a tea room and it was a great experience. They had excellent service, the food, and tea was great. The waitress showed me how to brew loose tea leaves and I have never had a tea bag since. I definetly reccomend this place if you had never been to a tearoom. |

Variety: I visited the Vintage Rose Tea Room with a couple of friends for the first time last week. We had a lovely visit and were made to feel right at home. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the gift shop is adorable. The menu offers a nice selection from soup, salad and sandwiches to the full afternoon tea. I had the afternoon tea with a cup of the butternut squash soup which was wonderful. The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully garnished. I look forward to visiting again soon. |

Variety: My husband and I returned to The Vintage Rose for a second time, 17 July 2009. We agree that the 1.5-hour trip from Toms River to Millville is well worth the drive to this lovely little tea room. We only wish we lived closer so that we could vist more often. The Vintage Rose is everything a tea room should be. It is nicely appointed with tasteful linens, china, and tea accoutrements; it is clean and comfortable; the food and tea selections are wonderful--everything is prepared to perfection; and the owner and staff are friendly, attentive, and helpful. Their attention to detail is amazing--even the restroom is beautiful, one of the nicest and cleanest that I have ever encountered in a tea room or restaurant. Incidentally, I enjoyed the caramel-apple tea my first time and the Vintage Rose signature tea the second time. Both were very nice. Ditto for the sandwiches, sweets, scones, and savories--a nice variety of flavors and textures. We can't wait to return. Thank you for another enjoyable afternoon! |

Variety: I had a wonderful time at this lovely tea room. Although I have enjoyed afternoon tea at a number of tea rooms in central and southern New Jersey, I discovered that the Vintage Rose Tea Room in Millville was the best so far. Everything was expertly prepared and mouthwatering. The food was served in a four-tier tray, and I began at the bottom with two small scones served with clotted cream and lemon curd. Moving up the tray, I sampled four delicious finger sandwiches: chicken salad on a mini croissant, egg salad on pumpernickel swirl bread, cucumber on white bread, and a Welsh rarebit type of open-faced sandwich that was exquisite. Next came the savory: a puff pastry shell filled with a wonderful crabmeat mixture. Then I enjoyed the fruit garnish at its peak of ripeness: slices of apple, s... (more) |
