Overview

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the fire in our Pub-style tearoom. Located in the historic Cloyd Cabin (circa 1783) in scenic Botetourt County, you will find our tearoom to be a place where you can simply unwind and refresh yourself. Whether you are perusing the daily paper, browsing our ecclectic and appointed gift shop, or relishing time with friends, you will find that the only dilemma you face is choosing which tea to try next!

We offer a simple, but fabulous menu including freshly baked Organic Bagels and hot Bagel Sandwiches with gourmet organic cream cheeses. (Choose from such bagels as Spinach & Roasted Garlic, Sundried Tomato & Herb, Apple-Cranberry, and more.) New to the menu are our 'Paesano' chicken salads: Choose a Baked Spinach-Artichoke Chicken Salad with parmesan cheese stuffed in a bread bowl, or our Cranberry-Almondine Chicken Salad with toasted pecans. Or satisfy your sweet tooth with one of our delectable scones baked fresh daily in our Tavern.

Visit us soon to see what all the buzz is about!

My husband and I found this WONDERFUL place as we were taking a drive one Saturday afternoon several years ago. The moment we walked in we were impressed. Its whimsical atomsphere was REFRESHING. The food was TASTY.The teas are DELICIOUS. The staff make you feel WELCOMED
The Tea Tavern is high on our list of places to take family and friends when they visit....and EVERYONE loves it!

Called a couple hours b/4 lunch (on 5/14/10) to see if they could 'fit us in' - had heard about the bread they served. Owner was gracious and said she'd make room for us. Expectations were high and were not unmet. Food was awesome (bread is unbelievable & baked on site so it's hot when served!) - tea, both cold and hot were fantastic. Still enjoying teas purchased and heading back with other friends in July for a girlfriend road trip. Great experience - you will not be let down!

On my visit to Virginia my best friend took me here and it was WONDERFUL!!! I have never seen anything so quaint in my life, wonderful service, tea and food. I wish they had one in California!!

The salads were delicious and the presentation of the food was awesome. The teas were wonderful--the buttered rum was fantastic. The summer blend that was brewed and served over ice was refreshing. The gift shop of teas and related tea items was very stocked and fun to look over the different items. It would be worth a day trip just to go to the Tea Tavern. Truly a unique experience that I will stop by to enjoy again when in the area.

This is a wonderful teahouse! My friend and I stopped in today, and even though they were booked up they made room for us. Friendly service, great chicken salad and the best tea I have ever tasted. (Try the buttered rum tea) I will be back and will be bringing friends!

Whenever we want to slip away for a delightfully relaxing and enjoyable time out, my mom, my sister and I slip off to the White Oak Tea Tavern. The rustic, relaxed atmosphere, the extensive variety of teas, the delicious chicken salads and bagel sandwiches and Kim and her abosolutely wonderful staff make this time out together special. Once in awhile we invite others to join us and each one is equally impressed. We all LOVE it!

The gift shop has amazing and unique gifts! I want everything in there. I always go for the cozy atmosphere, hot chicken salad, and tea, but always leave buying something new. I can't wait to come back. Until next time, keep up the good work.

Once again it was a delight to visit White Oak Tea Tavern for a nice time with friends. Everything was wonderful & I especially loved the white chocolate/raspberry sconce. Thank you & I look forward to returning very soon.

For the past two years, we've spent most Saturday's at White Oak, sipping Wild Blueberry and Lemon Mango teas, nibbling on the hot and cold chicken salads, and relaxing after a long week. The tea and the chicken salad tastes every bit as delicious now as on our first visit! But the real magic of White Oak is the atmosphere. Kim and her staff create a stress-free, relaxing atmosphere perfect for an intimate moment with your mate, a jolly good conversation with your best friends, or a reflective retreat with a great book. A truly unique experience awaits - enjoy!
