Food: In Louisville on business, done early for the day and in the mood to explore a city I had never been to before, I caught the No. 19 bus from downtown and took it to Frankfort Avenue. For a couple of hours I walked through this delightful part of town and poked in and out of its array of shops that included an independent book store and a fair trade craft shop, until I found myself hungry and in front of The Zen Tea Shop. What a serene, beautiful place to take a rest and pass some time in the afternoon. Lunch was a celebration of fine ingredients -- the Passion Fruit Tea, the Glass Noodle Salad, and the Salad Bouquets. The owner, CoCo Tran, and the server, Julia, provided good company and I left for D.C. sorry that I may not be able to return for some time. For those in Louisville, The Zen Tea House is not just a gem of a restaurant, it is a wonderful experience of Zen philosophy and practice. |

Food: The Zen Tea House has managed to put together solid tea, food and dessert menus in only six months time. The ownership and management are both superb and the service when we attend is always outstanding. The newly added 'tea flights' which allow you to sample teas from different regions or varieties are a welcome addition. |

Food: My colleagues and I frequent Zen Tea House. Tea selection is made easier with a comprehensive book of teas that is presented along side the menu. The Tea House with its soothing music and calming interior design offers the visitor a relaxing refuge during a hectic day. I highly recommend your visiting this Frankfort Avenue gem. |

Food: I highly recommend the Zen Tea Room. The tea selection is amazing and each tea is carefully prepared in very traditional fashion. The food selection includes vegetarian soups, salads and sandwiches all made with fresh ingredients. The setting is so relaxed. The over all experience is great! |

No detail is overlooked in delivering on the 'zen' theme - a very serene atmosphere, countless teas to match your mood or give you that one thing you are missing, deliciously complimenting foods, and the styling/decor to match. The focus is on the customer's entire experience, from the moment you walk in until you leave, which may be hours later if you bring some friends to enjoy the atmosphere. A great place to experience a very cool and unique scene, and a welcome break from corporate chains. Definitely worth checking out, especially to tea house first timer. |

Food: From the decor to the friendly people this place truly represents what 'zen' really is about, good energy and peaceful surroundings. Its incredibly beautiful and well laid out with lots of different spaces. The knowledgable staff lets you know all about the seemingly hundreds of teas available and their healing qualities. The food is DIVINE! From my personal fave, the mushroom pate to perfectly prepared soups, sandwiches, salads, and other items you will find no where else...each order is put together with true TLC when you order... NOTHING this place serves comes out of a box 'pre' prepared by the national chains. I could go on and on but its really worth finding out for yourself. They are sustainable, eco-friendly, vegetarian, and represent all the best in ZEN. |

Food: I was so excited to hear that Louisville was getting a true tea house, and when Zen Tea House opened, it exceeded my hopes and expectations! Their tea selection is superb and unsurpassed. Their menu - both sweet & savory - is original and excellent. Their Zen Chic ambiance is warm, inviting, and comfortable. The staff and service is likewise genuine and generous of good energy. Zen Tea House is one of my personal favorite places in Louisville. I cannot say enough good things about how lovely and enchanting Zen Tea House is. If you have not yet been here, you are missing a fine experience. :) |

Food: My experience at the Zen Tea House was both delicious and relaxing. I have been wanting Louisville to have a tea house for years and years and now its finally here and its PERFECT! I left feeling very satisfied after having their Vegan Potato Soup and a cup of the herbal Flu Fighter tea. |
