Mint Julep Room
This Tea room located in Palatine is such a treat for us girls and guys who live in the area. It is located in a Bistro, with a lovely room set aside just for tea time. Everything was just wonderful and flavorful, also the server was very attentive. A must go an try for yourselves. Also Lady Dee who creates the Tea Service usually comes by and says hello to her guests. She always has a story to tell ya.

Walnut Room, Marshall Fields
The setting is fancy, the staff is fancy.. but the tea service.. totally lacking.. the sandwiches were bland and tiny. The desserts were like quarter-size tart shells with lemon curd in them. The scones were hard and we were only given a spit of cream and curd to work with.. the teacups were thick and bulky.. the tea selection was of 3 types.. it was just all really horrible
