The Path of Tea
Houston is a city that never seems to rest, but if you want to take a moment to relax and get a refreshing breath of air--there is no place that beats the Path of Tea. The very second you step through the door, your body and mind find themselves at ease. The owners, Thia and Chris McKann have paid special attention to every detail to ensure that your visit there is an experience. The service is magnificent--everything you need is taken care of. They check in on you often enough to make sure you are not in want of anything, but never overdo it. Everytime that I've been there to visit, I've seen an even balance of new customers and a healthy flow of regulars--a true sign that the service and product are top notch. All of the employees here are happy people, and you cannot help but catch their warmth when they greet you. They serve only organic teas, and each one is rich with several layers of flavor! The desserts that they serve at the pastry bar are also organic, and I have yet to try one that I didn't like. I would recommend the chai cookies, and my perosnal favorite, the ginger-apricot scone. I thank Chris and Thia for giving me such a nice sanctuary to run to whenever I need it, and for all the wonderful tea and food that they serve.
