  • Adagio Teas - Old Orchard

I love Adagio. They have such a huge variety, you can try the teas, and their customer service is so over the top. They give you free sample teas with purchases, and their reward system of the best one out of any tea company I've come across. They also have "CommuniTea" boxes that have an entire month's worth of samples so you can just try a lot of small portions to figure out what you like. I have to admit I vastly prefer their Naperville location over the Skokie one, though. The Skokie one is usually crowded and not as stocked because it's busier, but the Naperville store is more warm and inviting and doesn't feel "clinical" like the Skokie one. It's hard to explain. Either way, great shop. A must if you're a tea lover and haven't been to Adagio.

  • Nuovo Tea

I had mixed feelings about this store because it's AWESOME in terms of variety and they carry tons of rare herbs that I can't find for my teas elsewhere without ordering online. They also have a variety of interesting and useful teaware of all types, which I really appreciate. They are, however, on the more expensive side and I couldn't justify being a regular there with how much it costs compared to other tea and herbal retailers. Also a suggestion for their shop would be to list the prices of each herb and tea. I had to literally ask the guy at the counter about the price of each individual thing I was interested in, and he had to text his boss to ask. That was a little annoying and I didn't want to be annoying and ask him about a bunch of different things (but they were expensive, so I wasn't just gonna buy it without knowing the price), so I unfortunately just bought one thing and left. That's a pretty major problem for enticing customers to buy things if they can't even figure out what they can afford. But if money's no object, it's a shop worth stopping at. They definitely have an interesting, unique, and wide variety.

  • The Cornucopia Shop

An adorable little shop in the heart of downtown Aurora. I've been a regular at this store since its opening. They have hundreds of loose leaf tea blends, tea accessories, teaware, charcuterie, sweets, and bath and body. Anything related to tea or tea parties, you can get here. They also have paint-n-sips and other events that are inexpensive and fun! I've known the owners, Dave and Kate for a while. Sadly, Kate passed of a sudden heart attack recently, and Dave is doing his best to keep her dream alive on his own. This is a great small business to support that I want to see continue to thrive.

  • coffee drop shop

This is such a great little tea shop with a great selection of teas (and coffees!) What really won me over is the immense selection of sample sizes of loose leaf you can choose from, as well as large quantities. There's also boxed teas, some teaware, TONS of tea accessories, jams/jellies, etc. Their selection is actually incredible for such a small store. It could maybe use a little more organization but I think that's the effect of having such a wide selection in a small place. Can't believe a tea lover like me didn't know about it while working right around the corner.

I love Suzette's. I've never had tea there unfortunately, but will definitely be back for it after having their incredible food. It's a very classy, yet relaxed environment. We always stop on the way out for pastries - macarons are a must!

  • Adagio Teas - Naperville

Love this store. All the teas are well-organized, and it's so easy to find whatever you're looking for. Everyone's always super nice and helpful, and they give free samples when you purchase a certain amount. It's right in the downtown shopping area of Naperville, so easy to venture to other stores as well.
