Fantastic little bistro. Perfect for a nice lunch out. Wonderful food that is innovative but not bizarre.

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time here! We were very impressed with Manuel the Tea Captail and how cheerful and informative he was. It made for a delightful tea. The food was excellent! We will definitely go again and highly recommend it! The only downside is that tea is not served in china, but other than that it was wonderful!

On a recent visit I was treated to tea at the City Cafe. I found Manuel the Tea Captain to be informative and very entertaining. The teas were wonderful but the food was lacking. The cost did not justify the small servings.

I had gone with a friend, on a sunny afternoon and I was very impressed. The service was to die for, server was very attentive. The 4 course was, exactly that, there was 4 teas with each course. Nothing skimpy, all very elegant and the atmosphere was tranquil & pleasant. I will go again & bring others.

The City Cafe tea room has captured the tea captain from the Aldolphus - much to the credit of City Cafe. The food was impressively good and unusual, starting with a tomato basil soup and fried green tomatoes that they were 'trying out.' Sandwiches were tasty, but compared to the rest of the food, unremarkable. The scones were delicious and the desserts heavenly. The tea was a bit sweet for my taste, but this was more a matter of personal preference rather than a comment on the quality of the tea itself.

Service was impeccable, providing recommendations for the tea, a quiet, intimate atmosphere, and the sense that all your worries have been left at the door. My best tea experience to date, and well worth the price.
