Excellent tea house serving very fresh food. Extraordinary proprietor who is 'hands on' at every tea. Consistently exquisite products, service and food. Absolutely a '15' on a scale of 1 to 10. I've been to Cobblestone many times and each time I am there I love it more.

There are a ton of teas to choose from. It is a very pleasant, relaxing time to spend with friends or family and not feel rushed. I love to come and sit in their garden. The tables are beautiful, with each one being uniquely set. Not only is all of their food really good, probably because they make everything in their shop, but it is always beautiful when it comes out. I would recommend getting the High Tea. You get as much tea as you want, tea sandwiches, fruit, scones (with the Devonshire cream lemon curd that are made in the shop, and preserves)and then you get a second tray with tea bread, quiche. And then comes the dessert. My mom and I go to every tea shop we find, and this one is definitely my favorite

I visit this tea room at least twice per month, sometimes even weekly, as walk-ins are always welcome. The food is always great. The items for sale are price fairly. Well worth your drive to Alpine.

This is a beautiful place to have Tea with friends and family. I have been here many times. The service is fantastic and the prices are the best in San Diego anywhere. The outdoors is such a lovely place with the sounds of water and the flowers that provide even more beauty to the beautiful and varied table settings. Conversations and friendships are nourished here. It is well worth the drive to Alpine.

I've been to Cobblestone a number of times and it's just as charming as the first trip. The food is delightful (while not as fancy as some places, it is plentiful and tasty - which is infintely more important) and served in a beatiful manner (garnished with fresh flowers from their garden). The ladies who run the shoppe are delightful and the outside garden is the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon (unless it's one of those extremely hot summer days that Alpine is known for). Definitely worth the drive to Alpine! Dress up (or not) and enjoy an afternoon of beautiful scenery and lovely food. And the best part is, you get it all at a steal of a price (best value of any tea shoppe in southern California!)

Charming setting, very tranquil. The outdoor garden beats every tea place I have ever been to. They have different set of antique silverware and table setting for every table, that was very cute. Great service. The food was ok and matched the price.

The most peaceful atmosphere for a tea party in all of San Diego county. I believe this is the only one in the area with outdoor 'garden' style seating. In the same location for 9 years. What a gem.

I have to laugh at myself, thinking back to my apprehension as I stepped inside Cobblestone for the first time. I had invited a friend, for support, and immediately felt like I was at my grammas' farmhouse. Sounds strange, but the cozy smell was everwhere. My eyes fell on teapots, matching linens, floral arrangements each complimenting the various table settings. Our smiling hostess brought us tea menus, and patiently explained the dozens and dozens and MORE dozens of tea varieties, allowing us to sample any and all. Trays arrived overflowing with sandwiches;and nestled among scattered flower petals, we found tender, flaky scones accompanied by curds and jams. Next, delightful desserts arrived, and time sort of floated right on by. Then the smiling hostess arrived with a camera and we were stars, and of course we could choose any type of boa or hat, etc. for our 'photo shoot.' And ALL this for just under $20.00. We left our experience with satisfied tummies, and a nice framed picture of 2 very pleasantly surprisd tea sippers who have returned many times. The outside little fairy garden is done the same way and offers the same enchanting service and food. Matching table settings, trees, waterwheel, birds.Serenety in the midst of chaos. The adorable mountain town of Alpine boasts this 'tea treasure' to be the most reasonable in the San Diego area. Come sip with me.

My niece and I visited Cobblestone Cottage this summer, and it was delightful. I had to keep changing the date , and number of people in my reservation, and the owner was most gracious. The quality and amount of food is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed- and fun.

We have gone to another tearoom, but the atmosphere was too strained and formal. We want to come back to Cobblestone Cottage!

Still my favorite Tea House in San Diego County! The selection of Tea's, Food quality and variety are wonderful, the best in price and selections of tea's to choose from. You have a relaxing service and have time to enjoy all three courses and shop the shops on site as well. MY favorite! All good luck with the shop in the future!

The drive out to the country is worth the trouble after finding this quaint cottage that is surrounded by nature and an aura of peaceful tranquility. The ambience that Nancy sets is reminiscent of a country parlor afternoon tea. Trinkets and tea accessories are beautifully displayed around the shop. She allows people to dress up with hats, boas and gloves...She also takes a picture of your party which is a nice touch! The outdoor setting for tea is absolutely charming with a watermill for the backdrop and flower pots that display a delightful pallette of colors. The settings are shaded with huge trees that gives it a homey feeling. The food servings are wonderful. The sandwiches are meticulously carved into whimsical shapes, like little hearts and tarts (original!)The fruit is so fresh and placed on laced doilies. The tiered display is arrayed with edible and bright colored flowers. The selection of loose leaf teas are abundant and aromatic. The water is flavored with blueberry tea, which was quite refreshing(unique!) The scones are made from a secret recipe that they have perfected! It is piping hot and it just melts in your mouth! (I wonder if they will give me the recipe?) I have been told by customers that people travel long distances just to buy the scones. This tea shop deserves to be one of the top 5%. Take a drive out and experience this wonderful place for yourself! There are cute cottages that sell antiques, tea accessories and notions next door.

I am bringing all of my friends here soon!

My sister loves to go to tea and has really got me caught up in it with her now. We have now sampled several tea houses in the San Diego area. We were at first put off by the plastic chairs and were a little worried about what we had gotten in to, but it turned out to be one of my favorite places and I shall return again and again. We had such great service and I'm sorry I can't remember out hostess's name, but she was wonderful. She let us pick several different teas, as many as we wanted. She made it fun for us to try new teas and we actually ended up trying 4 different teas that day. The teas were so good that we both purchased a bag of 3 of the teas we had tried. We have since run out and are making plans for another trip to replenish our tea fix. The carmel tea was to die for! The scones melted in our mouths. They gave us so much food I could hardly breathe when we left the shop, but everything was so good we couldn't help but eat it all. The only thing I did not care for was they use sugar crystals instead of cubes and the crystals do not melt very fast. I much prefer sugar cubes that melt instantly into the tea. I would definately recomend this place to anyone, although keep in mind it is not a fancy refined place, but a nice relaxing casual atmosphere. The outside area looked lovely and my sister wants to try that next time. It was too hot the day we were there to sit outside, but it looked very peaceful. I hope you give this wonderful place a try as it is truly a tealightful experience.

I love the ambiance of this tea room. I took my mother for Afternoon Tea to celebrate Mother's Day. What a great time we had. Our experience began when we dressed in the boas, hats and gloves and returned to our garden table to two lovely pots of tea. We relaxed in the cool breezes that wafted gently throught the courtyard as we sipped our tea and took pictures to put in our remembrance albums. The finger sandwiches were delicious and beautifully presented with fresh flower garnishes, fresh fruit and scrumptious scones. Our meal was topped off with Mandarin orange pineapple cake and two more pots of tea. What a feast! Thank you ladies for the delightful afternoon. Your service is impecable. I will return.

I have been to tea several times at the Cobblestone Cottage. Great food and service. I am planning a tea pary in my home with a couple of friends and was given lots of pointers from Tea room.

They have many things to purchase and of course I had to have several items.

      Great place.

We celebrated my sister's 65th B-day. We had such a wonderful time dressing up in the vintage attire. Great atmosphere, great food, great survice, and of course delicious teas. Some of us now have a new favorite tea. We will be back.

An awesome 'Experience'. My cousin took me there for my birthday in March. I could not wait to take my husband for his birthday. We have had tea at the Ritz-Carlton in London, The Empress Hotel on Vancouver Island in Victoria, Canada, and numerous other places. He agreed this was the best. We loved the ambiance, the service was excellent, and the tea and food were supurb.

The location is stunning. I recently celebrated my daughter's 9th birthday there. We were cheerfully greeted and invited to sit down. The invitees, including grown-ups, were invited to dress up in furs, boas, hats, necklaces, etc. The service was phenomenal and the decoration superb. We were treated as if we were the most important guests at the tea house. The variety of finger foods was amazing and the taste, scrumptious. for my daughters who do not enjoy tea, they served lemonade (all one can drink). We had so much food, we ended up taking some home. At the end, a slice of delicious triple chocolate cake was served, followed by a beautiful 'Happy Birthday' song. We were given a gorgeous photo of ourselves, to remember our special occasion. After, we browsed through other small antique shops located in the proximity. We will definitely return on many occasions. I rate this tea house '5 STARS'.

P.S. Nancy, the owner, is amazing!!! She takes the time to make one feel welcome! Kudos to you and your daughter!!!

Thank you for the unforgettable and beautiful memories.

My favorite tea place in San Diego. Food is very savory and appears all homemade and the price is most reasonable and you don't go home hungry. I love their selection of teas and their table decorations and flowers that they use to decorate their plates. I have teas in my home and have modeled my tea set-up and food after Cobblestone Cottage. When people ask me for a tea room, my first suggestion is this tea room. I have taken family and friends here on their birthdays and many of them continue to return. I prefer the single dessert as it is homemade and very light tasting (some tearooms serve you a variety of desserts but I have found them sometimes to be bakery/store purchased and not always the freshest). I rather be served outside in the garden area then inside (but during very hot days, do have your tea inside even though it's a little tight inside). There are also some neat shops to browse through and I have always come home with some great find. It's time for me to go get another cup of tea with these folks - may all your teacups be full of many blessings too!
