Cozy Tea closed permanently in 2019. We were sad to see them go,

When I lived in Jacksonville for college I went here several times for lunch and tea. Tea was delicious, food was very good especially the soups (also excellent selection of Indian food), real fresh scones, and it has a mismatched cozy feeling that is very cute. I have bought tea to take home and brew myself I enjoyed it so much!

Cute tea place in downtown Jacksonville. Great food and large selection of teas - it was so hard to choose! I got the Indian Tea with a scone on the side. Amazing scones! I'm always on the lookout for a good afternoon tea place and I'll definitely be back.

Everything was delicious...especially the scone and the chicken curry sandwich. My only negative comment would be that your Web site does not indicate you can only get afternoon tea if you arrive precisely at 2:30 p.m.

One of my favorites. Too busy on Saturdays. For the best time go on a Saturday at 11:30AM or during a week day. Their squash soup is the best!!!

Our Red Hat ladies thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Cozy Tea. Delicious food, aromatic tea, great service - and most of us just HAD to have dessert! Yummy truffle was my selection!

I was skeptical about meeting my friend for lunch at at tea room, I'm only an occasional tea drinker. Boy, was I in for a surprise!! Lovely atmosphere and super friendly staff. The place is spotless; as a former restaurant owner, that is something I value highly. And the food is AMAZING. Beautiful presentation, delicious flavors. I have been here twice and each time the food is wonderful. And I had two different teas and they were perfect. Carrot cake is out of this world! I'm definitely going to go back!!

My 6 and 5 year old daughters had a wonderful Sunday tea party and lunch. They treated us like VIP's. It was very obvious they love kids because they treated them like princess. Even their customers were great. The restaurant was very clean and well decorated. Just a great experience. I did read the reviews before I went and I was leery but we went anyway due to it was the only one open on Sunday. We are very glad we did. I will be forwarding the owner the link to the reviews in hopes that they may work on some of the other customers complaints. I do agree with the comment about not being able to combine tables for a large party.

Anyway I will be dinning with them in the near future.

I've been to this tea room several times and it is definitely NOT what it used to be. I was in on Saturday to celebrate my birthday with six friends. When my friend called several weeks ago to make the reservation she was not informed that they would seat us at two different tables. That was information that would have been nice to know...I had friends who traveled an hour and a half to join me there for my birthday tea who I didn't get to even chat with due to the fact that we were at two different tables. We were told we absolutely could not move the tables closer.

The service was INCREDIBLY slow...it took us three hours to make it through our tea service! Never once did we receive an apology of any sort about the long wait. Oh, and if you like to drink more than three cups of tea during your visit (which will be long due to the slow service) be prepared to fork over $1.50 each time you need your tiny three cup teapot refilled.

A friend ordered a pot of tea and after taking one sip she realized that she did not like the tea at all. She asked to exchange it for something that she knew she liked and she was told that she would be charged for both pots of tea. I have been to many (many!) tea rooms over the years and I've never had an owner respond in such a way! They have always been more than willing to exchange for something that the customer would enjoy.

We will NOT be visting this tea room again. It is so disappointing to see what she has let her tea room become...she started out fantastically and now it is so bad that I will not return.

I've been to this tea room 4 times and unfortunately the portions have become much smaller (including the tea pot, which now has $1.50 refill charge and there is enough tea for about 3 cups in the tiny pot) and the service has gone down hill every visit.

If you have more than 4 people, do NOT go to this tea room, as you are seated at 2 different tables and told under no circumstances are you to move the tables closer together. It took us 3 hours for a full afternoon tea (3 courses) due to the horribly slow service.

This used to be our favorite tea room in Jacksonville, but we will definitely not be back after our last experience. So disappointing.

I stopped in on a Friday afternoon for relaxation and a cup of great tea. My husband joined me. While he is not usually excited about tea (not enough food to suit a guy's appetite) he thoroughly enjoyed it as much as I did. The food was delicious, filling and served beautifully. The owner came around and chatted which was fun. Also it was nice to sit and listen to relaxing music and watch the world go by outside while we were warm and pampered inside.

I loved this place! Over 50 different teas available hot or iced, including a few single estate blacks (my favorites). The front of the shop has a wide selection of tea pots/gifts, and also offers numerous varieties of chocolate bonbons by the piece.

I visited during one of their busier times and had to wait a few minutes to be seated, but the service after that was wonderful.

Their menu includes sandwiches, soups, salads and scones (for the most part), and what I had was very good. Try the curry chicken salad, it's wonderful.

A delightful place with excellent selection and wonderful staff. I especially enjoyed talking with the owner about teas. I will return often and have already told several friends they need to visit too. Will take out of town friends here when they visit.

This is my second review because it's my second visit. The first visit is detailed in the comment below. My second visit presented just a perfect dining experience. They had a different wait staff, who was much more professional and attentive. The tea and lunch just as tastey. And the bread pudding was delectable. (I grew up with chefs and never eat deserts unless they're homemade.) Even the owner came out and talked to the customers. We will visit again. They're open 7 days a week. And I saw customers ranging from families, to college students, to men and women on their lunch hour.

The food, definitely good for what they have to offer. The tea, devine. I thoroughly enjoyed their Monks Blend hot tea. The service could definitely be much better. But at least they were friendly when they did talk. They're lacking timely service (We had to seat ourselves). Accuracy of order, 7 out of 10. The feta cheese was replaced with goat's milk cheese without asking if I would be ok with that. I found out after I took a bite. The waitress explained the chef experiments with the menu. That is great. But, they need to ask the customers prior to changing the ingredients from what is shown on the menu. The second time out with no cheese on the sandwich and with the wrong bread. It was still good. But get the order right, please. The tomato herb soup, devine. The salad, a perfect portion. And desert, well, it will have to wait until my next visit. Because all that food and tea filled me up halfway through! Yes, I will try them again.

What a wonderful tea house/ restaurant!! I've been there several times in the past two months even! Food is delicious and an entire menu of teas (served hot or cold). Very cute gift shop as well. Go there you won't be disappointed!

A small, truly 'COZY' environment. Staff was very sociable and dining was at a relaxed pace. Enough varieties of tea to fill a seperate 'Tea Menu' - prepared hot or cold to taste, and served in a personal tea pot for each guest. If I were a local I would be a regular. Instead I resort to sharing the joy with others until I get to go back to visit family.
