This wee little tea room was a great find as we explored Edinburgh. Christina is the best!

My son and I were in Edinburgh July, 2009, and visited Forsyth's for breakfast. Miss Christina is a delight and her tearoom has a wonderful old-world atmosphere. She makes you feel like family from the moment you walk through the door. I will most definitely return if I get the chance.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I found it by chance one evening after a long day of exploring Edinborough and was welcomed with a wonderful smile and real conversation by the owner. She prepared me a delightful salad and some tea (bagged only, unfortunately) and by the end of the visit I was promising to return with the rest of my traveling companions. The second time, we stayed for more than an hour playing a game of scrabble. It's a great, quiet atmosphere in the heart of the city. There are many of the traditional cuisines offered as well (scottish pie etc). It is a must on the list for Scotland!

Forsyth's Tea Room is a delightful little tea room (20 seats) in a close (alley) right off the Royal Mile - in the vicinity of many shops. The shop owner was especially charming. We had 2 pots of tea for two (we were four), one order of shortbread (good), one order of cheesecake (very good), and two orders of millionaire's shortbread (average)

      We would visit again.

We met Phyllis and Al Wilkerson, the owners of the Sweet Afton Tea Room, Plymouth, MI while we were there.
