It is a deliciously lovely way to spend an afternoon with friends. We were a party of nine women, who not only were enjoying each others company but, the delicious homemade soups, salads, scones, finger sandwiches and desserts. All while sipping away at our perfectly brewed pots of tea.

I found Harmony Tea Room on Groupon. We had the serenity tea and added soup ... chickpea and pumpkin coconut ... both were delicious! All sandwiches, tarts, breads, and desserts were fabulously yummy. Choice of scones was large and served warm. Tea room is decorated sweetly and very clean.

Classiest tea room I've been too. The teas are superb and high quality, perfectly brewed. The sandwiches, scones, and desserts are delicate and delicious, as should be for traditional afternoon and high tea. And the atmosphere is beautiful, it makes you feel like you are transported to an authentic high end tea room in a European city. A key feature to an authentic tea room experience is the fine china it is served in, and Harmony Tea Room is right on mark. Recommended as best tea room in NJ and perhaps even surrounding areas.

I took my mom here for mother's day today, and we both had an excellent time. The decor was lovely and whimsical, as well as the china. The tea selection was great, and all the food was delicious. I had an oatmeal apricot scone that was amazing, especially when paired with the clotted cream. Our server was lovely and attentive, as well. I am looking forward to returning to Harmony Tea Room, and would recommend it for anyone looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion.

I went there yesterday with my 4 year old daughter. It was our first 'real' tea party (v. Play tea party at home). We dressed up with our Easter dresses from last year to add to the festivity of our experience. Our server was wonderful, patient, in good mood and explained everything. The Selection of kid friendly teas is good as well as snack for kids under Juvenili-tea menu item. I enjoyed a tasty carrot soup and light Waldorf style salad. My daughter enjoyed repeatedly pouring milk in her cup from a little dish as well as putting cubed sugar in her cup. We would like to go again as soon as our busy family life permits a break.

We came up from Virginia to visit family and friends for the Christmas holidays and stopped by the tea room just after Christmas. They suggest reservations and we had not made reservations, however they very graciously accommodated the three of us. Anna was our server and she was superb! She asked if we had any nut allegies when she described the two salads of the day. That was impressive, as a many restaurants do not ask that. The menu was very impressive with a variety of choices and combinations. The tea selection was expansive and the specialty teas were excellent. We all got our own teapot with a cute little cosy on it. There were easily four cups in each pot of tea that stayed hot. The salads were very fresh and the variety of nuts and cheese was well balanced. Mom had a celery soup with arugula and fennel that was savory and warming. The variety of finger sandwiches was impressive and very tasty! Overall it was a lovey afternoon!

My British friend and I had a most marvelous time at the Tearoom on Sunday. Our husbands went to the Steelers/Jets game and we went to heavenly Harmony Tea Room. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. The place is so pretty and so calm and lots of whimsical things like the teapot chandelier! The tea selection was fabulous and the server was most helpful and very attentive. We had a beautiful selection of scones to choose from, mine was oatmeal cinnamon and was yummy and my pal Tina had cranberry which was also very tasty, served with all the traditional accompanients including clotted creme, lemon curd and strawberry jam. Beautifully delivered on English bone china and pretty servers. The finger sandwiches were all so inventive and tasty with apple, brie and apple butter being a favorite as well as curried spinach. But the prettiest one was carrot spread and beet spread with white and brown bread. Oh did I forget the cucumber and dill? Tina had carrot soup and I had a pear, bluecheese salad. It was all so fresh and lovely. The owner came out to say hello and we had a nice chat. She is lovely. They are moving around the corner soon and will be in a larger place. I know it will continue to be a wonderful, elegant and charming experience with high quality food and service.

My grandmother past away about a week ago. Today, my mom and 2 daughters dressed up and decided to go to tea at this teahouse. We called ahead because their website says that you should call ahead for reservations. When I called, I asked if they would have a table in 10 minutes and specified that I had an infant who needed a highchair. They said we should wait 20 minutes to come but when we arrived, there were only 2 other people in the entire teahouse. When we arrived, I cleared the table setting away from where the infant would have been sitting. My mom was holding her in that seat, while we waited for a highchair. We waited so long, that I felt bad and took my daughter back from my mother and the baby grabbed a plate, which merely clinked. An older woman over reacted and yelled in the kitchen. I then asked if we could have a highchair, which she then responded with a very rude tone...this place isn't for children. We promptly left after that, which of course horribly upset my 5 year old. She has had a rough enough time lately with the loss of my grandmother, who we all very close with, without the disappointment of not going to this planned celebration. The woman, who I presume was the owner, was rude and I will never go back there again. Why bother going to restaurant where you are not treated politely?

We had a delightful visit to this tea room while traveling on vacation. Everyone was able to select their own tea, including lemonade for the youngest in the group. The assorted china plates and cups enhanced the atmosphere. The salad and soup that accompanied our tea service were generous portions, and very tasty. The three tiered tray held a delightful variety of tea sandwiches, scones, and desserts. We have fond memories of our special afternoon here.

Annie I server explained all the teas to us and the food. She was very attentive to us the whole time we were there. My friend and I both had the Hospit-Tea. Everything we had was delicious. I took my mother to lunch today for her birthday. We so enjoyed it and it made her day special doing something a little out of the ordinary for lunch. We had a pot of the Irish Breakfast and Chi tea. Both were wonderful. I had a bowl of the African Chick Pea soup that was nice and the Harmony salad is great. The cheese in the salad is a little slice of heaven. The scones and Devonshire cream are to die for. The finger sandwiches and sweet treats were also delightful. The service was friendly and warm. I would definitely recommend this tea room.

I went to this tea room just today and it was magnificent. One of the best I've seen to date. The staff was sweet and inviting and the mismatching classes gave it some whimsy. Really great high/low tea. The selection of teas are good and the food is delicious. It's a great place if want a traditional coursed tea (soup/salad, finger sammies, scone, dessert), but you can order stuff a la carte too. The scones are the best I've had and they have a bunch of different spreads for them (lemon curd, cream, and strawberry jam) which I love. The waitstaff was very nice and the owner/chef came out to thank us and say hello on our way out. She was also very accommodating about food allergies and the like. The inside of the place is also quite lovely- very simple and elegant.

All in all I'd say a very nice place for a high-quality tea!

My friend and I treid out the tea room with a Living Social coupon. I can say that the food and tea was very good, but our servers were young teenagers that I cannot say really understand what good service is all about. It is also a very small and slightly cramped place, not decorated the way most of the tea rooms I have been to are. We had to sit near the kitchen and it made it noisy. I'm not sure if I'd go back paying the regular prices, but if you're local give it a try.

I go for tea with my girlfriends a few times a year. We tried harmony and it was decent for the price and it is close to where I live. I needed to come up with an idea for my bachelorette party and I thought tea at harmony would be a nice way to start the day. Let's just say it wasn't. We wound up being a group of 12 which is considered a private party. They schedule private parties before there normal business hours, so we had to do tea at 11am which was fine. I gave them the $50 dollar deposit and when I went to set up the morning of they had two tables set for six people each. I also bought ballons with me and was told i could not bring them in, I didn't over react I just said fine and left them on my car. I asked if we could turn the tables so everyone was at the same table. The owner told me no, that doing that would interfere with service, I didn't understand what she meant so i continued to ask questions. She didnt want to pass hot soup over people. So the tables were left separate and we had tea. In the end the staff only served tea from one side of the table and passed the soup over guests. At the end i questioned the owner, the truth was that there was another party after mine and she didn't want to rearrange the resturant. It was a crappy way to start the day. I won't go back there. For $40 a person it wasn't worth it.

Lovely spot, whether you're looking for a big lunch, or something as simple as tea and scones for the late afternoon. Courses were brought out in great time, but we did not feel rushed when all was said and done, and enjoyed relaxing, keeping good conversation, and finishing the last of our tea after our meal. Fantastic and friendly service. In the context of a lovely high tea, and considering all that is provided for you, the pricing is quite reasonable. I do recommend making reservations for lunch time Friday through Sunday, they get pretty busy! Clearly we're not the only people who enjoy the experience!!

The server was very abrubt, NY/NJ loudness not conducive to a serene English Tearoom atmosphere. The Devonshire Cream is in fact not Devonshire Cream but a lighter substitute of sorts. The food was good, great scones and the teas good - loved the chocolate tea. The basics are there... Here are a few suggestions. Outside appeal, something to lure you in like giant teacup planters done for the seasons (as the English are known for their gardens), some little white lights in a few trees inside to bring the outside in and a little twinkle and some classical music played softly in the back ground. Perhaps a few stained glass birds or something delicate hung in the upper part of the windows to give some additional visual interest would be nice. A couple more sandwich choices on some English style bread and maybe offer crumpets for morning. Outside dining on the patio would be lovely on nice weather days perhaps. Overall, the tea was nice... but the basics can be enhanced for a more delightful overall experience.

Looking for a perfect birthday gift? Celebrate with tea at Harmony. That’s what we did. With a peaceful atmosphere, delicate china, the perfect pot of tea, incomparable scones, and the most varied and inventive sweets and savories ever tasted in a tea room, the birthday was perfect. Mary Ann has managed to create an island of serenity in the middle of Bergen County. Culinary choices on the hot summer birthday included curried carrot or cold fruit soup (we begged for the recipe), two salads (one bursting with fruit), lemon ginger and cinnamon oatmeal scones (we purchased some to take home), and our two favorite savories-a curried spinach pinwheel and an Asian chicken salad. Delicious sweets included a basil shortbread cookie and a heavenly lemon bar. Harmony’s finger sandwiches came on a variety of tasty breads. We appreciated an extended menu of decaf, rooibos, and herbal teas in addition to exotic blacks, green and white. On our way out, we browsed the retail and even purchased some very unique tea bag- included note cards. We are going back soon and we are bringing our Book Club!

Excellent! Relaxing! The BEST scones... really, the best! I just took my Mom today, and she loved it...especially the lemon curd on her lemon-cranberry scone. My Icewine tea was delectable with milk and sugar along with a chocolate chip scone... I couldn't leave without having a bag full of scones to take home. Also, my daughter celebrated her 7th brithday in the Enchanted Garden, a scone baking party, which I highly recommend. Everyone raved about the scones the girls made during the party! On Mother's Day I suprised my grandmother, mother and daughter to a special time at Harmony Tea Room. We were welcomed by friendly waitstaff and owner, sat a wonderful table by a large window and given the specials. We all had 'Hospitali teas' which included delicious soup, a freshly prepared salad. One with fresh apples and the other with fresh strawberries...yum! Then a tier of wonderful food. Different and tasty finger sandwiches, unbelieveable scones, (condiments of homemade lemon curd, clotted cream and jam) and three fresh made sweets. The teas were brewed to perfection! The service was attentive and thats unusual for Mother's Day. We can't wait to return. I have been to this lovely victorian tearoom several times and everything holds true no matter what day you go. I highly recommend this tearoom!!

There are a lot of positives about Harmony Tea Room. The room itself is much roomier than other tea houses--I had high tea with a party of four and we weren't crowded at all. Plus many of the tables are next to the large windows, offering lots of sunlight and nice street views. (Only downside is that it got wicked hot at our table at the sun was shining right on us.)

Our server was curteous but not cheerful in the slightest, and she read the specials (only four) off a piece of paper, even though it was 3 pm and surely she must have memorized those four specials by then). She neglected to tell us that we had a choice of scone flavor with our high tea--we figured that out by reading a sign over her head, fortunately. She also neglected to offer milk with our tea, and we had to ask her twice for it.

The salads were excellent, very flavorful. The finger sandwiches also were very good and the assortment included a few yummy unusual ones, though our unfriendly waitress didn't care to explain anything that was on our tray.

The scones were a little dry--we tried the cinnamon oatmeal and cherry cream, and neither were memorable. The dessert tier of the high tea was the most disappointing--there were only three desserts offered on that tier and all were the same color--a bland yellow! One was a dry 'pecan sandy' type of cookie, and the other two were indiscernable muffins or breads of some sort, not very pleasing to the eye nor palate.

My English breakfast tea was very good, though my companion complained that her chai tea didn't have much flavor.

I very much appreciated that we were not rushed during our meal, even though it was Mother's Day weekend. I also appreciated the use of real china at the tables (a shabby chic hodgepodge of patterns) and the very bright and cheerful decor.

The atmosphere is charming and quaint. The owner was very friendly, but most importantly - the food was delicious. The quality was excellent. I had a cranberry scone which was one of the best I've ever had. The soup, salad and finger sandwiches were delicious as well. I don't remember the name of the tea I had, but the owner described it 'like warm fruit punch' and she was right - it was delightful. I had my 40th birthday party on Sunday, October 25th, 2009. I picked the Tranquili-tea package, the food was very tasty and plenty of it. I had 19 guests there which was pushing it for the size room. A few people were sitting very uncomfortably. A guest was standing a lot due to the fact of where she was siting was the way to the bathroom and no one could get past if she were to stay seated. Which upset me.

The other complaint I had was the waitress, very very friendly and accommodating when she came out. I always had to ask her to ask my guests if they wanted more to drink. A guest even had to ask her for a glass of water. A guest had to ask for a tea cup another had to ask for a fork. This was after waiting for her to come back out, which took a while.

The kitchen is very very small and should not warrant more then two people in there. The owner was always behind the scenes as she should be and she had a helper, but to have the waitress in there at all times was not necessary she should of been on hand more often then she was.

I took a friend to Harmony back in January for a lunchtime birthday tea. We LOVED it! Everything was top-notch and very creative. The tea was delicious, the sandwiches were super, the desserts were yummy and the soup was wonderful! The only critique I have is the expense. I've been to teas in Manhattan for about $30 a person where there were unlimited sandwiches and a larger amount of food. The tradeoff at Harmony is the gourmet aspect of the food - it is very creative and very good. But at about $18 a person (there are various options so this isn't the only price) it's too expensive for a lunchtime visit. It's much more of a special occassion place - which is a shame because if it was a bit more affordable, I would definitely have lunch there more often! Perhaps a lunch menu hovering around $10 a person with a slightly more limited selection of items but larger portions would be a good idea?

My 2 daughters, new granddaughter and I had a delightful and relaxing afternoon tea here. The food, pleasant service, charming Victorian surroundings and especially the variety of teas (served in attractive individual teapots complete with tea cozy), were great. I highly recommend it.

I had my daughter's 'princess tea party' here-it was terrible. The staff were lazy, unprepared and disorganized. For the $30 per child plus tip price-I felt ripped off and extremely disappointed. The room was too small and the staff could not handle 2 parties at once. Definately DO NOT book this for a party or your birthday girl will end up in tears!

I took my mother and grandmother to tea yesterday, as a Christmas gift. We had a wonderful time, and I was really impressed by all of the thought put into the details of the 'tea', from the decor, to the place settings and service. The tea was yummy (I had the vanilla black tea, mom tried the Rainbow which had a wonderful Amaretto aroma) and was brewed perfectly. With the cozy, it stayed hot throughout our lunch. The finger sandwiches were nice, with a couple unexpected and tasty touches (beet puree! who would have thought), and we LOVED the cheese/olive ball and asian chicken salad. We also added on salad and soup which were impressive and homemade. I disagree w/ other comments that the portions are small. The condiments for the scones are served in ramekins, were tasty and perfectly portioned. I'm definitely coming back for my birthday (and any other occasion!), but will also try to get there for brunch.

We arrived with three ladies and three active young girls age 5-7 and all had a wonderful time! The atmosphere is comfortable and charming -- not stuffy. The food was the best I've had at any 'high tea' including in England and fancy big city hotels. The squash/pear soup was perfect. The house salad with cranberry cinnamon goat cheese was indescribably tasty. And the adult sandwich treats were gourmet yet extremely approachable. Plus, the chocolate chip scone was the moistest I've ever tasted. The owner was warm, welcoming, and has clearly put her heart and soul into this place. I hope this tea house succeeds!

'A Pot Of Gold' Yes I found a pot of gold at Harmony Tea Room. I was ever so fortunate to actually taste the rainbow!! just writing it makes my mouth water, that tea is delicious. The aromas and fresh baked scones are heavenly! And just a little FYI for those art lovers..the framed photography is stunning!! It's now my favorite stop in Westwood NJ.

I was out walking in Westwood at lunch time for exercise and decided to see if this tea room had individual lunches or just catered affairs. Luckily they offer both. I had an amazing sweet potato and pear hot soup and a goat cheese, pear, pecan and cranberry salad. Everything was delicious. Kathy waited on me and was an absolute delight. Stopping in the Harmony Tea Room was the crown jewel on a beautiful autumn walk. Thank you for a perfect lunch from beginning to end. Oh, if you're able, I'd love to see a peach black and/or apricot black tea on your menu too. I wish you continued success :) and I'll be back over and over again.

I was very disappointed with my experience at the tea room. The iced tea that I ordered actually had a medicinal taste to it and the finger sandwiches lacked substance given the hefty price tag. I will say that the scone was excellent. The salad barely had any dressing on it and was small - again considering the price of the meal. And, the child's meal at 14.95 was ridiculous for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! Plus, the service was extemely slow. Overall, I was not satisfied with our experience.

I am very new to tea houses as I just started drinking tea. I had a wonderful experience at one in NYC, so I went online to find tea rooms in Bergen County and found the Harmony Tea room. I tried the place today with my 3 year old daughter and my friend and we all had a wonderful time! The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. I had the Hospitalitea and she had the Serenitea. Mine came with an extra soup (Corn Chowder) and salad (Goat cheese w/ mixed greens) and we each got a different flavored scone (Cranberry, Oatmeal Raisin), selection of finger Sandwiches (egg Salad, Chicken Salad, Cucumber, beet/carrot, radish) and some sweets (sugar cookie, and 2 other kinds of pastries) with our pot of tea. It was nice that they offered 2 choices for our soup and salad and 3 flavors for the scones.

I enjoyed everything I ate. I thought that the portions for each course was perfect as it allowed me to try everything without eating too much. I shared my meal with my daughter (but she didn't eat much) and I felt very satisfied and not stuffed. (I did save my appetite for the place since had an idea beforehand what I was going to order.) My friend was full even without the soup or salad and even didn't have much room for the sweets.

My daughter had hot chocolate which was also served in a teapot. I wasn't expecting that and that it was so cute! I had the Chocolate Black Tea and my friend had the Florida Orange Rooibos. Sorry I can't give more information on the actual teas. I looked in the teapot but I can not tell you if they used loose teas or tea bags since I did not see anything in the teapot.

I definitely recommend making reservations as they almost had a full house when we went! I thought that the atmosphere was very nice and they had a beautiful selection of plates, tea pots and tea cups. My friend and I really enjoyed the whole experience (and my daughter seemed to too!) We also liked the fact that we could look at the menu beforehand on their web site.

I had been looking very forward to trying this place and was not disappointed! In fact, I'm looking forward to my next visit!

I took my daughter there to spend some one and one time and she just loved it. I personally like the fact that it is quaint and cozy. The soup was excellent and my daughter just loved the salad. The sandwichs were very tasty, I only wish the chicken salad came in a larger portion. The only negative for me is I'm not a fan of white bread and if I do eat it , it must be soft. This was my second time there and I'm planning to take my daughter and some friends back again. Love the food, VERY fresh

My party of 5 was quite pleased with our overall experience at this tearoom during our mid July visit. We didn't like the flavor of the prepared iced tea offerings, and our server replaced it with our hot tea selection with no fuss. The room is not overly decorated, but quaint with nice arched windows and table settings. The food was above average and our server was pleasant.

I have been going here regularly, and wrote a very favorable review in March; but my enjoyment at this tea room has been gradually decreasing. I still find the quality of the food excellent, but the service the last few times has been downright surly. (I have had the misfortune to have the same girl the last several times...it must be her shift.) Today, I showed up with my mom just before closing, and we were told that if we both wanted to order the scones, there weren't enough fresh ones left for 2 people, but we could have frozen ones heated up. This did not sound appetizing, and we ordered just a pot of tea for one (which comes with 2 scones, the only 2 left for the day). I don't think it was filled all the way. We asked our non-friendly waitress if there was a little more tea, which we have had in the past. First, she said 'no, everything has been shut off'. Then she said we could have a little more...but she charged for it, and did not tell us this would be the case. Considering that we have been somewhat regulars and that their lack of available fresh food was the only reason we were sharing the one pot, we found this extremely off-putting. Miss Surly also dragged a garbage pail noisily right by our table while we were trying to enjoy our tea. Also, the last time we were there, the air conditioner was not working, and we were literally sweating at our table. Fortunately, it was not raining, and we were able to move to a table outside. When we went again today, it still felt overly warm inside...not as bad as last time, but I suspect that is only because the outside temperature was not as bad. I'm not confident that the air conditioner works, or is turned on in a prompt manner. Additionally, I agree with the reviewer who said that plain scones should always be an option. Oatmeal-raisin is simply not a plain scone. Also, I agree with other reviewers that the portions are quite small considering what you are paying for it (especially the jam and cream). I called the quality of food 'average' because that is what you get when you balance out tasty food with meager servings (without offering traditional scones as an option) and nickel-and-diming regulars for whom you don't have enough fresh food. It's too bad...we really liked this place for a while, but it hasn't been enjoyable recently.

A Queen would most definately love this tea room... as for a King, well if I may.. In my travels I have been to many tea rooms through out the USA and I must say I was very impressed with the decor. Many times I would stroll into a dainty, frilly, and very ordinary tea room finding myself very uncomfortable with such feminine surroundings, but Harmony Tea room has broke the mold! I feel the surroundings are so serene and tastefully created. The fabrics are top drawer. The place settings are meticously set. I could tell I would be in for a treat!. My server was so attentive she had a nice personality and I really enjoyed listening to their calming music [ so many of the other tea rooms play the ordinary classical..yuk!] I also felt the menu was creative while being whimsical. The food was so fresh. And I loved the cookies..yum! ..last word, being male and straight. I was overall impressed the food, decor, and service. What I did noticed right from the get go was most everyone seemed to be having such a good time...In Westwood there are so many quality shops and Harmony Tea Room is among the best of them. ..Can't wait to go back..

This was our second visit to the tea room. Both times, we enjoyed ourselves, but here are some possible improvements: although the soups, salads and sandwiches are delicious, the baked goods are too sweet & too chocolately. The Chai scones are great, but the oatmeal/cherry and oatmeal/ blueberry are not. Both scone offerings should not be oatmeal-based which is what happened yesterday. The portions of curd, cream and jam are ridiculously tiny. Both visits, my teapot was not full. In fact, I finished the tea before my food came which was poor timing. I ended up drinking water with my meal. The owner is sweet & a talented chef/baker. With a few improvements, this place could be great. But for now, Belamari Tea Room in Hawthorne has won my heart.

I visited the tea house yesterday with my Mother. I was dissappointed. The atmosphere is bland. The walls are plain with just a few framed pictures, the tables with plain white linens and was extremely small. The dropped ceiling was water stained and very unappealing to look at. So small that there we 6 two seater tables and 1 table that would seat up to 4. I can't imagine how they would ever have the live music. If you require the restroom, many other customers will have to move in order for you to get to the door. The bathroom was nicely decorated. The guests even get to use a thick washcloth size towel to dry their hands, then place the used towel into a hat box. The tea itself was great tasting. No sugar on our table or even offered. The tea we chose was recommened to be drunk with sugar for a better taste, so this I thought was strange. The tea was weak so did not require sugar anyhow. The soup, Tomato with lemon rosemary was fantastic, as was the Harmony salad with a cranberry goat cheese. The sandwiches and deserts were disappointing. If you don't like mayo or cream cheese you will not like any of them. The deserts even come with a chocolate, choc chip cookie, not what I imagined. The most disappointing part of the meal was the scones, which being English, we looked forward to the most. Not a traditional scone by any means! Tasty but not what you would expect in England. First off they were flavored and not plain, strange as they were accompanied by a raspberry jelly, not a jam, and a strange looking lemon curd. It is hard to imagine a cinnammon pecan scone, or an oatmeal raison scone with fruit jelly and Devonshire cream. The cream was the worst. It was a serving meant for two, but would have easily fit on a tiny teaspoon. The jelly and curd was served in a tiny portion as well. The service was not the best either. We were asked to seat ourselves, even though we had a reservation. We were then handed paper menu's with the same informtion on it as their website, harmonytearoom.com. We were not yet told about the soup of the day or salad of the day, and we had to ask what was on the sandwiches etc... We waited several minutes before we were approached and asked if we wanted to know what the soup and salad was. In conclusion I feel the tea house was a boring, sterile environment with good food, but definately not in a traditional teahouse expectation. I would offer this advice to the tearoom: create a more warm, feminine atmosphere, and if you cannot afford a decent size portion of imported cream make you own whipped cream with heavy cream, also you must serve jam preserves not a tiny portion of jelly. For the price we expected a much better traditional experience.

Harmony Tea Room is just what Bergen County needed. It has a relaxing atmosphere where you can catch up with an old friend and have a delicious meal simultaniously. The fresh scones are to die for! I recently attended a special night at the tea room...it was called 'Claritea' with low tea service and a tarot card reader. I just got home from my first experience at the Harmony Tea room in Westwood. I was completely blown away! I have been to a few teahouses all over the states and this one by far had the best food. Bring your appetite cause you are going to want to sample everything. We did the option were you have soup, salad, scones, finger sandwiches and dessert. The portions are huge. The soup I had was a butternut squash and it was incredible. It had a nice sweet blend to it. For salad I went for the apple pecan with goat cheese to die for. Then came out our tier of treats. We started from the top down. The top tier had cranberry scones. The scones were so light and fluffy. The texture was amazing. They came with a jam, butter or lemon curd. But they were so delectable I hardly used any of the three. Each dish that was served became more superior as the meal continued. The next tier consisted of our finger sandwiches. We had a cucumber with I believe dill and cream cheese on white bread, Egg salad on wheat (the egg salad was amazing), Spinach pin wheel, there was a chicken salad dish (but since I am a vegetarian they allowed me to substitute it) My mom loved it though, and there was also an olive past on olive loaf. The last tier consisted of mouth-watering desserts. The mini apple pie like cookie was so scrumptious the crust just melted in your mouth, and the double chocolate chip cookie made me feel like I was in heaven! I didn’t even have room to sample the spice cake but they were so nice to wrap up our leftovers for a little midnight snack tonight. They have a very large tea selection as well. And we each got our own pot, which held about 5 cups of tea, and they even offered to refill them. We went for the Golden Monkey which had a very sweet honey blend to it and the other tea’s name slipped my mind but was a fruity tea with a beautiful pink color it was so refreshing it was like drinking a warmed fruit punch. It really complemented the salad well. I defiantly recommend going to the Harmony Tea Room! The space is limited so I would make reservations. The menu you is diverse I would have never imagined that they have only been there for two weeks. I plan on going as often as I can. You cannot beat the price especially with the quality of the food and service being as superb as they are!
