What a delightful afternoon! We arrived very near closing, but the staff was gracious enough to serve us! The food was delicious, the decorations and atmosphere adorable, and the tea selection was perfect! We'll definitely be back!

Lavender and Lace is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon lunch with friends! It is beautifully decorated, I especially like the teacup room featuring hundreds of beautiful tea cups. The food is delicious, I have had the crunchy chicken which is great, but I normally get the chicken plate served with fresh fruit. Don't forget to stop by the gift shop it is full of wonderful treasures!

We were there on Wednesday to celebrates my friends' 60th Birthday! Had a great corner table, the asparagus soup was so tasty and we all loved the chicken salad! We each had a different dessert and had a great time! We'll be back!

My husband and I have been going to the Lavender 'n Lace tearoom for about 20 years or more. They have a selection of hot teas (loose leaves) and delicious iced teas in regular and in a special flavor of the day. We always get the ice tea. It is always great. I never have to add sugar. You can have free refills. The food selections are great, too. They also have terrific soups, especially the cream of asparagus. The desserts are as yummy looking, as they are delicious. The owners are warm and friendly as their waitresses.

I used enjoy afternoon tea at Lavender and Lace with my girlfriends when I lived in St. Petersburg and loved every minute of the experience. The hosts are wonderful and attentive, the food is fabulous. I moved to Alaska so whenever I go to the Tampa area I opp out to L and L for a good cuppa and yummy food. I was here last summer and it's just as good as ever! I highly recommend going out for lunch or rounding up a bunch of friends and heading out for a great afternoon tea. The tea was piping hot, just as it should be!!!

I have been to Lavender and Lace many times, with family and/or friends. Once again, on Saturday, we made the trip from the Orlando area to meet dear friends, to visit and enjoy all that Laverder and Lace has to offer. Each experience has been a very memorable one. A relaxed, beautiful setting, personible waitress, and delicious food. It is a place for friends to laugh, tell life stories and make wonderful memories that draw you back to sit around the table in fellowship and friendship. We look forward to our next visit and to once again shop in the Gift and Tea Shop. Thank you for understanding what most people enjoy in a luncheon situation.

Once again we have enjoyed our experience at Lavendar & Lace! The only disappointment is that there are so many people I want to share this experience with and there is just not enough time to accomplish that! The tea is yummy - I had both iced and hot! The food was out of this world! I had yogurt marinated salmon with basmatti rice and a small salad with the most delightful light salad dressing! Then to top it off, the french silk pie was delicious too! We had one of the best servers ever! She was absolutely delightful! There was a party of 35 there while we dined, and we never knew it! We were treated as if we were the only ones there! We sat for quite awhile and never felt rushed. After eating, we sure enjoyed shopping in their darling shops! You'll love it!

My mother, sisters, friends and I have been going to Lavender 'N Lace for more than 10 years. We drive from Orlando and Sarasota to have the wonderful dining experience that we crave in our own towns. I can tell you, EVERYONE I know is ALWAYS thrilled with every aspect of the experience: the scrumptious food, the wonderful servers who go out of their way to make sure your every dining pleasure is met, the absolutely fabulous surroundings in the large and gorgeously decorated Victorian house with authentic antiques and elegant china and many other accessories everywhere you look, the two beautiful gift shops off the terrace outside the restaurant, the lovely gardens, fish pond, outside patio area...the list goes on and on! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! The owners, Haffiz (spelling?) and Sarah are the most lovely couple you will ever meet. When you are their guest at their beautiful restaurant, you are more than a patron, you become their LIFELONG FRIEND! They truly feel that way with everyone they meet and serve. DON'T MISS THE GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY OF DINING AT LAVENDER 'N LACE! Words can never do it justice...you must experience it for yourself!!!

I absolutely love going to Tea Rooms our mistake was visiting this one. Our tea pot was chipped, the tea seemed just barely warm, and they didn't have the proper tea strainers with dishes to rest the screen on. I just can't imagine going through all the trouble and not doing it right. We were served Margerine as butter. The creamer was the packaged room tempature one. No sugar cubes, only 8 choices of tea. Very few decaf choices. The food really was not that good maybe people who like pot luck kind of food would like it. The soup was just above water flavor no cream used in the Cream of Asparagus. The desserts were all cold pies.

What a beautiful place, the atmosphere is like no other. The gardens & court yard are soothing to the soul. The excellent food and service are served on beautiful floral table linds and napkins. We so enjoyed the shower we attended. The smell of fresh baked cookies and scones adds such wonderful aroma. I highly recommend this as time well spent with a friend, sister, mother and/or your spouce. I can't wait to come back to Florida & enjoy this wonderful experience again.

An all out and out wonderful experience. A lovely treasure that has a hideaway feel to it. Lavender n Lace has a rustic charm, an old world Victorian feel where everything is not perfectly matched or commercially lined up...it is a quaint little place with a cozy, doll-house kind of appeal. The food is top quality, with service to match. I love to visit the place with girlfriends every so often and am never disappointed with the experience! I am a die-hard Tea room foodie, and have been to the entire range of them from upscale hotels in the north to holes in the wall elsewhere (Including the Disney Floridian Resort Tea room). This is a rare and true Tea Room place with fresh baked pasteries, cakes and scones and a variety of hot and cold teas served the way they should! (I visit the place exclusively for the hot teas although have enjoyed lunch on accasion which was just as great) The courtyard, bakery and gift shop all add to the old-world charm and ambiance. Love it, love it, love it!

We eat at this place pretty much everytime we visit Orlando area. The combination of the delightful, happy ambience and to die for food is really which had won us over the first time and so we go back whenever we can. My favorite is their chicken puff pastry and pasta. And we never leave without eating desert ... Well who can resist freshly baked deserts :) .

By far the most elegant and tasteful tea room that I have visited, and I have visited many. Starting from the decor, the selection of food and teas, the service, as well as the unique gift shop and bakery, everything showcases the care and taste that has gone into making the place what it is. There is plenty of parking, the gardens are beautiful and well cared for. The decor is relaxing and pleasant. Each dish on the menu has a little 'something' that is totally special to the place. The desserts are to die for and all portions are generous. The quality and the taste come through very well in the thoughtful selection and presentation of each dish. The service is excellent and you are made to feel very special for the entire time that you are there. The owners take a personal interest and make sure you are enjoying their labor of love. I would highly recommend that you go and experience it for yourself. It is well worth the visit.

This Tea Room is amazing! The entire girly experience. Lace, fine china, flowers everywhere, every tea pot imaginable. The menu was very descriptive which made it hard to choose. So we ordered different and tasted all of it. Every bite was delicious! The gift shop, the bakery, the gardens, the dining room***absolutely gorgeous! All of the staff was wonderful! I recently visited Lavender and Lace and was dissappointed. It is more a restuarant than a tea room. They only do high tea once or twice a month (which I don't recall seeing on the web site) and the overall food/service was okay, but nothing like what I thought based on the other comments. It is decorated very nicely, but overall not a place I would visit again

What a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. My recent visit back to Lake Alfred would not be complete without a couple visits to my favorite place to eat in Florida or anywhere for that matter. The flowers, court yard, friendly faces, delicious food, (no where else can I find the quality and flavors), the crepes are one of my favorites with the side salad that has a most delightful light dressing. The black bean soup was such a great starter, my daughter's favorite is still the chicken corn chowder soup. The tea flavor that day was delicious Blackberry, I like it iced, since I live in north now and it was hot that day.

But I observed several of the Red Hat ladies that were also dining that day ( wow must have been almost a 100 of them)had an individual pot of hot tea. My friends and I shared 3 desserts, the Triple Berry Cheesecake was awesome, Angel pie was light and had lots of coconut, (yummy) Trifle is one of my favorites. For 20 years I have never eaten anything I did not like, therefore I look forward to including a trip or 2 here every time I visit FLorida, its one of the things I miss the most by not living in the area now. The little girls tea party from 10 years still holds special memories for my daughter and I. I hope to get a bunch of friends together on my next visit for high tea. The ladies are friendly & helpful & beautiful in their aprons. I just forget my cares and enjoy the beauty of this old house & its charm. Sara always greets me and my friends with love & affection as if we were walking into her personal dining room. Its a great place to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, to make treasured memories of quality time visiting your friends over lunch. I so appreciate my friends driving from Lakeland to share lunch with me.

We plan on doing it again next visit. Thank you Sara & gang for the memories.

Lavender N Lace is a fine establishment. They offer a variety of loose leaf black teas, including peach, blackberry, raspberry, apricot, plum, tropical breeze, strawberry, darjeeling, Earl Grey and several others. The hot teas are served in adorable china tea pots - each person gets her own pot of tea. Each day they also offer one of the flavored teas in an ice tea form. Today they had blackberry iced tea - it was delicious! This cute tea room also offers a wonderful menu of unique food items - including crunchy chicken, which is a delicious casserole made with chicken, rice, cheese and a potato chip topping - a wonderful dish! Some of the other items on the menu include, chicken salad, crepes florentine, salmon, cottage pie (like shepherd's pie), and 2 types of quiches - spinach and crab. Each day there are specials offered - one of them, the shrimp stir fry is delicious! The stir fry is made with jumbo shrimp (there were 6 of them), penne pasta and veggies. Each entree' includes a delicious salad marinated with a poppy seed dressing that is such a unique flavor - I've never tasted anything like it! Be sure to save some room for dessert - there are a variety of homemade sweets that include french silk pie, key lime pie, peanut butter pie, angel pie (coconut cream!), and hummingbird cake. My favorite is a daily special - it's called 'triple berry cheesecake' and is made with blueberries, strawberries and raspberries mixed in with cream cheese. This pie has a wonderful graham cracker crust - it's light, fluffy and delicious!

The tea room's atmosphere is SO sweet! The tables all have floral tablecloths which are covered with a lace overlay - it's very feminine and charming. There are floral arrangements on each table, wreaths. paintings, and plates decorate the walls, and one of the rooms has an amazing collection of china - all sorts of antique china patterns on display. Each waitress wore a lovely floral apron - which just added to the charm of this lovely place! The gardens outside are well manicured and include gorgeous roses, and many other flowers - there are tables set up outside and we noticed many people just lingering and enjoying themselves. There is a little gift shop which had tea pots, tea cups, and many unique gift items for sale.

All in all, our experience at Lavender N Lace was simply delightful - the food was delicious, the tea was wonderful, and the restaurant was beautiful! We had excellent service and the prices were reasonable. Just a perfect day - I highly recommend Lavender N Lace!

Let’s set the record straight: this is NOT a Tea Room, it is a restaurant (and not a good one at that). There is no Queen’s Tea, High Tea, or Afternoon tea. The food was ordinary, the desert stale, and the service poor. My Tunnel of fudge cake (rich chocolate cake with a special fudge/nut center served with chocolate amaretto sauce and whip cream) was as hard as a rock, came with no sauce or whipped cream. If you look at their website you will see there are no teas listed but there was a small selection of teas to choose from and the apricot was horrible. There was no ambiance whatsoever. The picture on their web site shows only one of the rooms, the refrigerator holding the desserts is in the corner of this room and greatly detracts form the Victorian feeling. The room we were seated in was painted yellow with no décor on the walls that invoked the gentler Victorian time.

While I like mixed & matched china I expect it to be in good condition, not cracked and chipped. There was no air conditioning in the place and the rooms were hot and stuffy. The cashier station was set right at the door as you walked in and when a line formed it was blocking the entrance/exit and went into the main dining room and bothered the guests. The gift shop had very little in the way of things for a tea lover, just one book on tea and one hutch of tea cups and pots. All the items in the shop were over priced. If you are looking for a great tea experience this is NOT it: Go elsewhere. The only reason this should be on TEAMAP. COM is to warn customers away.
